Cradle Of Filth Cancel Upcoming Shows To Focus On New Album

Cradle Of Filth have cancelled four shows in Europe and Tel Aviv so they can focus on their new album. Despite this, the group still plan to play their October 19 “Cruelty And The Beast“ show at The Palladium in London, UK and their November 2 show at RGMC XXL 19 in Bruges, Belgium.

The band commented:

“Felicitations Filthlings,

Unfortunately Cradle Of Filth are cancelling their three upcoming shows in Europe (prior to the special London Palladium show), plus the show In Tel Aviv, Israel, due to time restraints concerning writing and pre-production for entering the studio for recording the forthcoming new album.

Having played literally all over the world this year, it is unfortunate that keeping the band this busy has forged an ever-decreasing window in which to fit everything in and so it is with some regret that we have to announce the cancellation of these shows.

That being said, Tel Aviv will be moved to a slot next year to coincide with COF’s first tour of China.

The headline show at the Entrepot in Bruges, Belgium on November 2nd remains unaffected.

Once again sincere apologies for this sudden turn of events, the next thing on our very metal agenda (and the last of a busy year) is the grandiose London Palladium performance on 19th October.

The nightmare before All Hallow’s Eve!

And brethren. please watch the heavens for a much pleasanter Cradle announcement later this week…”

HELLYEAH Cancel September Shows Due To Tom Maxwell’s Injured Finger

HELLYEAH have been forced to cancel their September dates due to Tom Maxwell’s worsening finger injury. The guitarist previously said he would be undergoing surgery after the shows, but his doctor has since advised him to stop performing until the procedure is done.

Maxwell commented:

“As previously announced, I was scheduled to have surgery following our last show at ‘Blue Ridge Rock Festival‘. My condition has worsened and my physician has advised me against performing again prior to surgery.

I was previously involved in a car accident and broke the middle finger on my left hand. I now suffer from trigger finger, a condition that causes my finger to lock. I received a series of cortisone shots to alleviate the problem, however, the cure rate is about 70%. Unfortunately, that procedure did not work in my case.

I am devastated that my finger has been very stiff and painful. We have been performing at our very best and the support of all those who have paid tribute to Vinnie Paul has really helped us recover from our loss. We will reschedule the headline shows. I’m really sorry we could not perform for you this time… But we will see you soon!

– Maxwell“

Here’s the cancelled dates:

09/06 Jacksonville, NC – The Tarheel
09/07 Greenville, SC – The Firmament
09/08 Concord, VA – Blue Ridge Rock Festival

This news comes as HELLYEAH are preparing to release their new album “Welcome Home” on September 27.

Rotting Christ Cancel U.S. Dates

Rotting Christ have cancelled their appearance at the Psycho Las Vegas festival, as well as their August shows in San Diego and Los Angeles. According to the band, the cancellation was the result of an “unexpected delay in the visa process.” However, the organizers of Psycho Las Vegas have issued their own statement claiming the cancellation was related to “procrastination and poor planning by the band’s label and petitioner.”

Here’s Rotting Christ’s statement:

“It’s with great disappointment that we announce our cancellation of our upcoming performance at Psycho Las Vegas. The unexpected delay in the visas process forces us to make a decision for first time in our 30 year history!

We apologize to all our fans, this is out of our control indeed, and one way or another we will be back to perform in front of our American Metal brothers and sisters. Until then…NON SERVIAM. Enjoy Psycho Las Vegas and the rest of summer!”

Here’s the statement from the organizers of Psycho Las Vegas:

“Psychos, we regret to inform you that Rotting Christ has decided to cancel their appearance at Psycho Las Vegas and their subsequent shows in Los Angeles and San Diego. Although there will inevitably be a statement on behalf of the band at some point soon, it’s important that you know that this was not a case of Immigration stalling or denying their visas, which is far too often used as an excuse––instead, this cancellation is due to procrastination and poor planning by the band’s label and petitioner.

Rotting Christ was confirmed for Psycho Las Vegas at the beginning of 2019 and announced on the festival in February, with the two additional shows announced in May. Since the visa process has only proven to be more difficult in recent years, we offer the option for all bands playing the festival to let Psycho handle their visas––in fact, this year alone we’ve secured visas for Lucifer, Mork, Arthur Brown, Truckfighters and many of the international acts on the festival with our own in-house team.

Rotting Christ declined our offer and ignored our emails in May and July which requested an update on their application process (if the application was in transit, there would be several options for speeding up the process with a 6-week buffer). Instead, their record label and petitioner chose to wait until July 18th to submit their visa application, and didn’t inform Psycho of this until July 30th.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the visa process, it is close to impossible to secure a working visa in four weeks, and without expedition, visas can take anywhere from 90-days to 7-months to obtain. Applying one-month out was a completely pointless gesture.

Over the past week, we have urged the band and their label to file for expedited processing, which would be the only way to get the visas granted within this short time frame (only the petitioner can file this, otherwise we would have done it ourselves).

When the label refused, we offered to pay the processing fee out of our own pocket, and they have since ignored our phone calls and emails––as of today, it is simply too late to proceed. We fought as hard as we could to make this happen, but their label made a business decision to skip Psycho and that fucking sucks for all of us.

This entire situation was completely avoidable, and we’re sorry that those involved with the band in this matter didn’t care enough about the festival and its fans to try to make this work.”

The Distillers Cancel August U.S. Shows After Drummer Andy Granelli Gets Injured In Bike Accident

The Distillers have been forced to cancel their August U.S. shows. The cancellation comes after drummer Andy Granelli was seriously injured in a bike accident.

Frontwoman Brody Dalle commented:

“Hi guys,

Andy was in a really bad accident a few days ago that resulted in two very deep gashes ,a broken middle finger and a concussion. He was riding his bike down the street and a woman who was struggling with her toddler inside her car , kicked the car door open and in a split second attempt to avoid it , Andy was badly injured , his right hand taking most of the impact and requiring 40 stitches. This kind of trauma takes time to heal and unfortunately we’ve had to cancel / postpone our upcoming August American tour before reading and Leeds in the UK. The doctor believes Andy will be healed enough in about 3.5 weeks time and that’s why we are going forth with Reading and Leeds. Hope you can understand , it’s disappointing for us to have to cancel and postpone but Andy’s hand is crucial to what he does and what we do. Much love to you all.

See you soon,

The Distillers xxxx

P.S – the following pictures 4,5,6 contain very graphic images of trauma to Andy’s hand and may make some people queasy, please do not scroll through if this is the case.”

DevilDriver Cancel European Tour

DevilDriver have been forced to cancel their fall European tour. According to a press release, the cancellation was the result of “unexpected circumstances, completely out of the control of the band.”

The following was also added in the press release:

“The band would like to stress that they hate cancelling anything and in 20 years of touring the world, they have never cancelled a tour before and are certainly not a band that want to mess their fans or their promoters around. The band and the management would like to apologise to all their fans that had already bought tickets for the tour.

Those tickets can be refunded at their original point of purchase. DevilDriver promise that they will make this up to fans and promoters alike when they return to Europe in 2020 with a show bigger and better than ever before.”
