Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson Says AC/DC Are Working On A New Album With Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses)

After Brian Johnson left AC/DC’s “Rock Or Bust” tour due to hearing issues, the band recruited Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses) to finish the trek, and ever since then, fans have wondered if the group will continue with a new lineup featuring Rose on vocals. Now, during an interview with The Rock Pit, Rose Tattoo’s Angry Anderson said Angus Young is actually working on a new album with Rose. Anderson said the following:

“I was talking to Angus earlier last year when we were opening for Guns N’ Roses – Angus and I were asked to do the encores and I said to him, ‘What are you going to do?’ and he said, ‘Mate I’m writing a new album.’ I thought, ‘Cool,’ so I asked him who was in the band and he said, ‘Axl.'”

AC/DC Biographer On The Band’s Future: “I’ve Said It Before And I’ll Say It Again: AC/DC Will Continue with Axl On Vocals”

After Brian Johnson left AC/DC’s “Rock Or Bust” tour due to hearing issues, the band recruited Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses) to finsh the trek. Ever since then, fans have wondered if the group will continue with a new lineup featuring Rose on vocals, Angus Young and Stevie Young on guitars, Chris Slade on drums, and a new bassist to take over for Cliff Williams, who retired following the last tour. Now, a well-connected journalist and AC/DC biographer, named Murray Engleheart, is saying that he believes the band will move forward with new music and touring:

“Speculate all you want but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: AC/DC will continue with Axl on vocals – new album, touring, the whole nine yards. What was a massive gamble by Angus turned out to be an equally enormous triumph that has set the scene for the future.”

During their July 12 show in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Guns N’ Roses were joined onstage by Angus Young for some covers of AC/DC’s “Riff Raff” and “Whole Lotta Rosie.” This news shouldn’t be too surprising considering Young has previously performed these tracks with the band, and the fact that Axl Rose has been handling vocal duties for AC/DC.
