• Slaughter To Prevail Vocalist Alex Terrible’s Mask Business Suffered “Very Heavy Losses” Following Building Collapse

Slaughter To Prevail’s Alex Terrible has further commented on the collapse of the building he used to manufacture his “Kid Of Darkness” masks in Russia. The frontman, who recently secured a new space for the business, suffered “very heavy losses” due to the incident.

    Terrible said the following:

    “Dear fans,

Right now we need your support more than ever. As you may know, our old building collapsed (we still haven’t been told the official reason), but fortunately, none of us were hurt. We didn’t have insurance, which is very rarely practiced in Russia. Because of this, we suffered very heavy losses.

At the moment, we’ve thrown all our energy and resources into repening our business from scratch in a new building. We’ve purchased everything we need and prepared it for work. We’re really looking forward to your orders and are working on fulfilling past ones, which we will send out very soon. We count on your support and, as always, your patience.

We put our hearts into making every mask of the highest quality. This is all handmade — casting, painting, assembly, and more. Handmade work like this is usually very expensive on the market. But we sell our masks at super low prices, almost at cost. And we are very happy that you continue to buy them. We want to see lots of masks at the Slaughter to Prevail concert!

However, we are forced to raise our prices because the U.S. has introduced a tax on importing goods from Russia. Still, we will do everything possible to keep this tax as low as we can (we’re already in talks with accountants and the logistics company).

We are really looking forward to your orders, guys! This is not just a mask. This is already a cult!”

  • Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer) Announces Collaboration With Neven Eyewear

Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer) has teamed up with Neven Eyewear for his own collection of glasses. Two designs are available including Blacklist and Collateral Damage.

The following was said about Blacklist:

“The Blacklist Collection doesn’t play nice. Created with Gary Holt – guitar legend of Exodus and Slayer – these rectangular frames are made for loud lives and louder minds. Built with flexible hinges, non-slip nose pads, and a custom-etched version of Gary’s iconic logo on the lens, each pair is designed to hold up when things get heavy. They don’t follow trends – they crush them. With a look that hits like a power chord and details that nod to thrash history, every pair carries the energy of decades spent melting faces and breaking rules.”

The following was added about Collateral Damage:

“The Collateral Damage Collection is a lineup of eyewear designed with thrash legend Gary Holt of Exodus and Slayer. These round geometric frames feature Gary’s iconic logo custom-etched on every lens, plus black polarized lenses are standard — and available as a prescription option too. Built for durability and attitude, these signature sunglasses will surely make you stand out.”

  • Bassist Mike Dean On The Possibility Of Returning To Corrosion Of Conformity: “I’m Not Opposed To It”

During a recent interview with Drew Stone on The New York Hardcore Chronicles Live!, Mike Dean further discussed his departure from Corrosion Of Conformity. The bassist also revealed that he would be open to the possibility of returning.

Dean said the following about a hypothetical reunion:

“Never say never. Never say never. Yeah, it’s possible. I’m not opposed to it. It just seemed too cumbersome to make new music. They managed to make some new music [since my exit], so I’m glad for them. And I think their record’s gonna sound good.

They got Bobby [Landgraf], who played in guitar in DOWN, who, [it] turns out, he’s actually a real bass player — he plays a P-bass with his fingers. He used to play bass in a band called SNAKES OF CENTRAL TEXAS, and he’s a hard-working dude. He techs for PANTERA and stuff like that. So he really shows up every day, and they’re sounding good. So I’m glad for them. But never say never.

In the immediate, I’ve got this band called ARCHAOS, and we’re just getting started recording now. So that’s kind of [what I’m] focused on, creating some stuff with them. And these are local guys so we can just, ‘Hey, you wanna rehearse?’ And we rehearse, and we don’t have to fly in from far corners of the country.”
