  • Jane’s Addiction: “We Have Come Together One Last Time To Resolve Our Differences”

As previously reported, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins previously filed a lawsuit against singer Perry Farrell for assault, battery, emotional distress, etc. after he attacked Navarro onstage. Farrell later denied those claims and filed his own lawsuit. However, despite the drama, the group have managed to resolve their issues.

    Jane’s Addiction commented:

“We would like to clarify the events surrounding the cancellation of the tour after the show in Boston in September 2024.

After that show, without notice to Perry, we unilaterally determined it would be to not continue the tour and made inaccurate statements about Perry‘s mental health which we regret.

Today we are here to announce that we have come together one last time to resolve our differences, so that the legacy of Jane’s Addiction will remain the work the four of us created together.

We now look forward to the future as we embark on our separate musical and creative endeavors. Jane’s Addiction will forever live in our hearts. We are proud of the music we created together.

You, the fans, are our lifeblood, and we will always appreciate you.”

    Farrell added:

“To everyone in Boston, and around the world.

I’d like to address what happened on stage last year. I’ve reflected on it and know I didn’t handle myself the way I should have. I apologize to our patrons and my bandmates for losing my temper and for disrupting the show.

Jane’s Addiction has been at the center of my life for decades. The band, the songs, the patrons and the impact that we’ve had on music and culture mean more to me than any words I could ever possibly write down.

My aim has always been to give our audience the best possible show, something real, honest and positive. In Boston, we fell short of that, and I’m truly sorry to everyone who was impacted.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued love and support.

    Perry Farrell“

  • Yungblud Says Bands Like Turnstile, Knocked Loose, Etc. Prove Rock Isn’t Dead

During a recent episode of “The Howard Stern Show,” Stern revealed that he has been feeling like rock is dead. However, his guest Yungblud refuted those claims. The musician, who experienced a boost following his standout performance of “Changes” at Black Sabbath’s final show, says Turnstile, Knocked Loose, etc. prove rock is still kicking.

    Yungblud said the following:

“Rock music is so brilliant, it gets its flowers in hindsight, because it’s such a sacred genre that every dad says, ‘I don’t like that band. It sounds like a band that they knew as a kid.’ Like every f*cking dad says to his kid, ‘I don’t like that. That sounds like what I knew.’ …It always happens. The reason why rock music’s coming back at the minute, people always put so much pressure on one person bringing it back. ‘Who’s going to save rock and roll?’ That’s a load of bullsh*t, you know what I mean? I think with it all, it’s spherical at the minute.

Hardcore: you’ve got Knocked Loose and Turnstile. In punk, you’ve got Amyl And The Sniffers and Lambrini Girls. In Indie, you got Fontaines D.C. and Geese and Wunderhorse. And what I really wanted to do on this album was was to bring a sense of theater, and showmanship, and adventure, and 9-minute songs back in a 2025 way. And it was a f*cking risk, man…”
