  • Erik Grönwall (Ex-Skid Row, Etc.) Announces First Solo Show

Erik Grönwall (ex-Skid Row, etc.) has announced his first solo show. The set will take place at Cirkus in Stockholm, Sweden on May 26. Tickets can be found HERE.

    Grönwall commented:

“This one is BIG. Like… “first time in 15 years” BIG. Honestly, I could argue it’s the first time ever.⠀
    ⠀
On May 26th, 2026, I’m doing something I’ve never done before: My very first solo show. Live at the legendary Cirkus in Stockholm.⠀
    ⠀
I’ve spent my entire career in bands – H.E.A.T, Skid Row, Michael Schenker and I’ve loved every second of it. ⠀
    ⠀
But now… it’s time to tell my story. To bring my music, my journey, my voice, and everything I’ve become onto one stage.⠀
    ⠀
Cirkus is where the next chapter begins.⠀
    ⠀
    This show will be:⠀
⚡️ New music from the upcoming solo album⠀
⚡️ My most powerful interpretations from YouTube⠀
    ⚡️ A five-piece band⠀
    ⚡️ Pure f***ing rock ’n’ roll⠀
    ⠀
I’ve been in this industry for 15 years… and somehow it feels like it starts now.⠀
    ⠀
    Let’s make May 26th a night we’ll never forget.⠀
    ⠀
Ticket sale starts December 8th at 12:00 but we’ve released some pre-sale tickets NOW.”

  • The Darkness Cover Cliff Richard’s “Mistletoe And Wine”

The Darkness have shared a new cover of Cliff Richard’s “Mistletoe And Wine.” You can find an official video for that track below. Justin Hawkins commented:

“Season’s greetings! Children, roasting on an open fire, their eyeballs all aglow, are weeping in awe of our latest seasonal offering. ‘Mistletoe and Wine’ represents a musical departure for The Darkness as we reimagine Richie Clifton’s timeless classic and add a few sprinkles of shoegaze and drone. Jack Frost staring at his toes? You will be too. In a good way.”

  • Gene Simmons Blames Ace Frehley’s Death On “Bad Decisions”: “Falling Down The Stairs Doesn’t Kill You”

During a recent interview with the New York Post, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons made some controversial comments regarding Ace Frehley’s death. According to him, the guitarist/vocalist, who died of head trauma following an accidental fall, passed away due to his “bad decisions.”

    Simmons said the following:

“He refused [advice] from people that cared about him — including yours truly — to try to change his lifestyle. In and out of bad decisions. Falling down the stairs — I’m not a doctor — doesn’t kill you. There may have been other issues, and it breaks my heart. The saddest thing — you reap what you shall sow, unfortunately. It breaks my heart.”

    He also added:

“Peter Criss, our founding drummer, Paul [Stanley] and myself went to the funeral, open casket. It was just heartbreaking. Saddest of all perhaps is that Ace just couldn’t stay alive long enough to sit there proudly at the Kennedy Center and listen to — I can’t even tell you who’s going to come out … really impressive people, just to say how much KISS meant to them. What can you say — sad.”

  • Megadeth Frontman Dave Mustaine Rules Out Reuniting With Former Members During Farewell Tour

During an appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” Megadeth vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine ruled out the possibility of reuniting with former of the group during their farewell shows. According to him, he “can’t really do that, because of the behavior of one of the bandmembers in the past.” While unspecified, some have speculated that he was referring to bassist David Ellefson, who was fired over a sex video scandal involving a young woman.

    Mustaine said the following:

“Well, I can’t really do that, because of the behavior of one of the bandmembers in the past. I just can’t — I can’t. Because, first off, it would be unfair to the other bandmembers if I didn’t play with them as well. But the thing about what we did with [former MEGADETH guitarist] Marty [Friedman] in Japan [in early 2024], that was a no-brainer. That was brilliant. And I love Marty. We had our separation, and he went his way and we went our way. But it was a very, very intense relationship I had with Marty, because that was the first relationship I had with a guitar player. My relationship with [former MEGADETH guitarist] Chris [Poland] was really great, but it wasn’t as good as it was with Marty. My relationship with [former MEGADETH guitarist] Jeff [Young] was good, but it wasn’t as good as it was with Marty. And I probably wouldn’t have a problem playing with any of the members of those two lineups, except the fact that [former MEGADETH drummer] Gar’s [Samuelson] deceased, and [I’m] just not gonna do anything that is gonna, in any way, seem unfair to the other bandmembers.”

He continued when asked if Megadeth will announce a final show or go away quietly:

“I don’t know. I was joking around with our management and said, ‘You guys should probably book some fake dates at the end of the tour that I don’t know about so I won’t go out there on the last date and just blubber like a fucking 175-pound wuss.”
