156/Silence have premiered a new video for their new song “If Pleasure’s Gone.” This track is from the band’s new album “Narrative,” which was released today (September 2).
Guitarist Jimmy Howell commented:
“‘If Pleasures Gone‘ is one of the more fun songs on the record. We’ve been playing this one live for a while, debuting it almost a year ago at this point. Never get tired of playing this one and the flow is just perfect for a live setting.”
Vocalist Jack Murray added:
“If pleasure’s gone, I’ll make my own fun.’ If this is how things are and will be then might as well make the best of it. Like one last cigarette in a burning corn maze. It’s the little things.”
156/Silence have premiered a new song titled “Say The Phrase.” This track is from the band’s new album “Narrative,” which will be released on September 2. Guitarist Jimmy Howell commented:
“‘Say The Phrase‘ was the first song I started writing for ‘Narrative‘ back in the Spring of 2020. It has some familiar elements for us but it really set the tone for the types of songs we wanted to write.”
Vocalist Jack Murray added:
“Phases fade. Dazes weigh. Constance evades us and vagrancy stays. Complacency shades us. Our angst is delayed. ‘Silence is golden’ the phrase that they say.”
156/Silence have premiered a new song titled “To Take Your Place.” This track is from the band’s new album “Narrative,” which will be released on September 2.
Guitarist Jimmy Howell commented:
“We experimented with synths for the first time on ‘Irrational Pull‘ and went a little bit further on the EP but on ‘Narrative‘ we really dove straight in. ‘To Take Your Place‘ is the most synth heavy song on the record and it was fun to write something a little different. We all love the sounds of analogue synths so we decided to write something where those really took center stage.”
Vocalist Jack Murray added:
“Dependencies come in many forms. People and poison can be a deadly mixture. It’s often hard to address the fact that habitual behavior can be the hardest thing to replace. Old habits die hard.”
156/Silence have premiered a new video for their new song “For All To Blame.” This track is from the band’s new album “Narrative,” which will be released on September 2.
Guitarist Jimmy Howell commented:
“‘For All To Blame‘ is probably my favorite song on the album. We tried to write something a little more straightforward and it turned into a catchy, more structured track that allows Jack [Murray] to shine.”
Vocalist Jack Murray added:
“We’re all at fault for the way things are. Years of turning blind eyes and pointing fingers at each other’s defects. Wondering how we got to this. Hell isn’t hot enough.”
