• Avatar Announce “Feathers & Flesh” 10th Anniversary Show

    The band also commented:

“Ten years ago, ‘Feathers & Flesh’ took on a life of its own. A beautiful capsule of past existence, our collective emotions, the state of the world back then and now. Somehow, it all became one of the most special records we’ve ever made.

Now it’s time to return. Join us at the legendary Royal Albert Hall for a one-night-only celebration 🦉🦅

Get your exclusive Citizen Ticket Packages starting NOW on AvatarCountry.com, package availability is limited. Standard tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 8 at 1pm BST, on AvatarMetal.com

If ‘Feathers & Flesh’ has ever meant something to you, we hope you will join us.”

    Vocalist Johannes Eckerström continued:

“‘Feathers & Flesh’ changed the entire trajectory of how we work. Once you’ve started to think of the big picture in your work, you can’t put that genie back in the bottle. We’ve done all kinds of albums since then, and we will continue to do whatever the muses tell us to do. The thing they have in common, whether they’re comedy concept albums or satanic sock hops, is that we view them as paintings. They are cohesive pieces of work with a point.”

Drummer John Allfreddson also reminisced on the recording process for the album:

“I end up in a rollercoaster ride, emotions run through every bone of my body. Half my mind ends up in another time and life in Dresden with this crazy lady laughing, painting owls, playing with microphones and water, hysterically and joyfully clapping her hands. The other half is in this dreamlike forest that only exists in my own mind… I ask myself, did we really create this?”

  • Black Sabbath Announce “The Masters Of Reality” Book

Black Sabbath and Rufus Publications have teamed up for a new book titled “The Masters Of Reality.” The career-spanning piece is expected to be released in October. Pre-orders can be found HERE.

    The band shared more information:

“Black Sabbath and Rufus Publications are pleased to announce the publication of the first ever Official Black Sabbath book. Documenting the band’s extensive history from the late 1960s to the final show, Back to the Beginning in July 2025.

The Masters of Reality – Why Black Sabbath Matter has been created by photographer Ross Halfin, working directly with the band. Tracing their development from the late 1960s with a huge wealth of rare photographs and memorabilia, many published for the first time and curated for this huge, 500 page volume. The book covers the classic lineup of Sabbath featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward and features essays from writers Geoff Barton and Dave Ling who interviewed all four band members, especially for the book.

The Masters of Reality – Why Black Sabbath Matter started production two years ago and was due to be announced shortly after the final show in 2025 but as Ross explains, events took an unexpected turn, ‘Ozzy and Sharon wanted the book out soon after the final show in Birmingham but Ozzy suddenly passing away caused the music world to stop. Ozzy was fully involved with the book and he signed the book plates months before the final show, as did all the band members. So now, we all thought the time was right, one year after Back to the Beginning, to announce the project. A book we all feel celebrates both Black Sabbath and Ozzy and illustrates just how important they are. I hope fans enjoy it.’

The book will be available in three editions:

Measuring an incredible 303mm wide by 426mm tall and running to over 500 pages, printed on silk art paper. • Gene Simmons: “If You Don’t Like America, Please Go Back To Where You Fucking Came From”

During his July 3 set at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI, KISS’ Gene Simmons blasted illegal immigrants and critics of the U.S. The musician, who previously said celebrities should “shut the fuck up” about politics, told the crowd “if you don’t like America, please go back to where you fucking came from.”

    Simmons said the following:

“In case you don’t know it, you are blessed. You are living in the greatest fucking country on the planet. And that’s called USA. Okay, I wanna tell you why I took a minute to talk about America, because if you’ve been asleep the last 250 years, tomorrow is America’s 250th birthday.

This is the greatest country, That’s why we’ve had anywhere from 20 million to 30 million illegal immigrants. Why? ‘Cause they are willing to break the law and come into the greatest country on the face of the planet, right here. We have more illegal immigrants than most countries have populations on the face of the planet. That’s a fact.

I myself am an immigrant, but a legal one. I came through the lawful way. You wait in line, you respect the country, you respect its laws, and then you become a citizen of the United States of America. And in return, you get police who risk their lives to protect you.

And you get first responders who are here for you. And if your house is on fire, you get fire departments that risk their lives to come put that fire out for you. You get a school system that’s yours, and everything is free. Cops, fire department, school — free. All you gotta do is follow the law and do it legally, okay?

I’m honored to say I’ve gotta get up at 3:30 this morning to catch a 5:00 a.m. flight because I’ve been asked by the White House to narrate the World War II Veterans honors in America’s 250th birthday tomorrow in Washington, D.C. And unless you guys think Fourth of July is just fireworks and all that, without our veterans, there would be nothing. There would be no America. There would be nothing.

Politicians talk the talk but veterans put their lives out there. All gave some, some gave all. Don’t forget. So the next time you’re going to a Starbucks and you see somebody in uniform, step aside and make way for a real hero. That’s the least you can do.

And if you don’t like America, please go back to where you fucking came from.”

  • Oasis Share Teaser For Upcoming Documentary “Don’t Look Back In Anger”

Oasis have shared a new teaser for their upcoming documentary “Don’t Look Back In Anger.” That film focuses on the band’s 2025 reunion tour and it will hit standard and IMAX theaters in select locations this September. It will also be available through Disney+ internationally and Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S.

    Here’s a synopsis:

“The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world. The unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years. Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.”

    Producer Steven Knight commented:

“The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation. ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”

  • Rivers Of Nihil Cancel Japanese Shows Due To Visa Issues

Rivers Of Nihil have pulled out of their Japanese tour with Psycroptic and The Zenith Passage. The band were unable to make the trek due to visa issues.

    The group commented:

“It is with extreme regret we must announce that we will be unable to make our planned tour of Japan in August. We were unable to obtain the necessary Japanese visas in time for the tour.

While the promoter shared a post painting us as some kind of law-dodging criminals, the truth is that the process of applying for Japanese visas is extremely unruly and difficult, which was not clearly communicated to us until it was far too late, and our many other international touring commitments this year made it impossible to complete the process in time. We were forced to drop off the tour specifically BECAUSE we wanted to make sure we followed all applicable Japanese laws, not because we attempted to dodge them.

To our Japanese fans, we are very sorry, as we were greatly looking forward to this tour! We will make it to Japan one day, we promise. On a final note, please go see our friends in The Zenith Passage and Psycroptic, as they are still able to play these shows.”

“Hey guys, it’s your friend Matt reporting from London Heathrow. I just wanted to say thank you for all the love and support. It means the world to me. We have the best fans in the world. You guys deserve a better show than I can throw right now. I got numbness in my feet, numbness in my hands. As you can tell, I’m losing my voice, so I can’t really talk, walk, play, or sing. But I’m okay. I’m just a little, little tuned up. But, um, gonna go home and get looked at, and we’ll be back as soon as we can. Yeah, thanks so much for being so understanding and I’ll see you soon.”
