Psycroptic Premiere New Song “Frozen Gaze”

Psycroptic have premiered a new song titled “Frozen Gaze.” This track is from the band’s new album “As The Kingdom Drowns,” which will be released on November 9. Drummer Dave Haley commented:

“‘Frozen Gaze‘ definitely shows our old school thrash and speed metal influences, which we make no apologies for – I would say this is where our roots lie to be honest. It’s the last ‘single’ before the album comes out and a pretty cool statement of intent so to speak. We’ve decided this song needs to be instantly in the set list; its catchy, riff heavy and really fun to play. Once again, Wilson Bambrick handled the flip clip for us and has done an awesome job.”

Psycroptic Premiere New Song “Upon These Stones”

Psycroptic have premiered a new song titled “Upon These Stones.” This track is from the band’s new album “As The Kingdom Drowns,” which will be released on November 9. Drummer Dave Haley commented:

“‘Upon These Stones‘ is one of the darker songs on the album and it developed into a very unique song for us. It’s is a lot slower than our ‘usual’ pace; but still very heavy and somewhat ‘brooding’. We are excited by the direction it took our sound in and can’t wait to show it to our fans! It’s very different and that’s why chose it as on of the singles.”

“‘Directive‘ is one of our collective favorite tracks from the new album. It’s not often we all agree on which tracks to include in the live set, but I have a feeling this track will be quite a regular inclusion for a long time to come. The clip was filmed in Tasmania earlier this year, and put together by our good friend Wilson Bambrick. Enjoy!”

Psycroptic Offer New Album Update

Psycroptic have offered an update on their new album, which should be completed in the “next few weeks.” The band said the following:

“We’ve been hard at work recording the new album over the past 8 months, in our guitarist Joe Haley’s Crawl Space studios. We are getting close to completing it, and it’s turning out really cool. I think it’s our best album by far. It sounds like a mix of all our albums, plus some newer and darker sounding elements thrown in. Artwork is complete, and looks insane. We’ll unveil that in good time…Because we aren’t the smartest people, we’ve still been scheduling tours and shows around the recording – we head out today in Australia with Cattle Decapitation, and have New Zealand, more Australian shows, Iceland and North America all coming up in the next few months. But we will get the album finished in the next few weeks….”
