Entheos Premiere “I Am The Void” Music Video

Entheos have premiered a new video for their new song “I Am The Void.” This track is from the band’s new album “Time Will Take Us All,” which will be released on March 3.

Vocalist Chaney Crabb commented:

“We’re incredibly proud to announce our new album, ‘Time Will Take Us All‘. The album’s concept is one of growth and self-reflection that focuses on the true human commonality – that our time on Earth is fleeting and what we choose to do with that knowledge is up to each of us as individuals. This is beautifully reflected in Eliran Kantor’s surreal cover art.

The album is split in to nine songs, though it was written as one piece of music and is intended to be listened to in its entirety. It was produced by Navene Koperweis, mixed/mastered by Mark Lewis and features Evan Brewer on bass.

Along with the album announcement, we’re excited to share a new single from TWTUA, titled ‘I Am the Void‘. This song begins the second half of the album and represents the weight of feeling as though you cannot escape your own fears and anxieties. The video was shot by the incredible David Brodsky, Allison Woest and their team at My Good Eye Visuals.”

Koperweis added:

“Evan‘s bass playing is a big part of what makes Entheos sound like Entheos, and it was important to us to have him on the record. He added bass lines after everything had been tracked and brought a lot of character and texture to what was already there.”

“Time Will Take Us All” Track Listing:

01. “Absolute Zero”
02. “In Purgatory”
03. “The Interior Wilderness”

05. “I Am The Void”

Entheos Premiere “In Purgatory” Music Video

Entheos have premiered a new video for their new song “In Purgatory.“ You can check that out below:

Navene Koperweis commented:

“‘In Purgatory‘ is a direct extension of our last single ‘Absolute Zero‘. Musically, the lead guitar and melodies that appear on the outro of ‘Absolute Zero’ became the seeds for ‘In Purgatory,’ and from there, the song wrote itself.”

Chaney Crabb added:

“Lyrically, it represents introspection and coming to terms with the person that you are at your very core. The video was shot and edited by the incredible David Brodsky and Allison Woest and their team at My Good Eye: Music Visuals.”

Entheos’ Chaney Crabb Opens Up About Injuries She Sustained In A Motorized Scooter Accident Last Year

Entheos vocalist Chaney Crabb has taken to social media to open up about the serious injuries she sustained in a motorized scooter accident last year. She also revealed that the band’s latest single, “Absolute Zero,” and their upcoming album were influenced by the incident.

Crabb said the following:

“Absolute Zero.

As some of you may already know, in August of ’21 I was in a motorized scooter accident. My bottom lip tore away from my chin, my septum was flayed and my upper lip was cut in half, exposing my teeth. My nose was severely broken & sliced up the side. The end result was plastic surgery and 100+ stitches in my face.

As a result of my accident I had no feeling in my lips or nose, some of which I still haven’t regained, and my future as a vocalist was quite uncertain. While made sure within days after the accident to keep my actual voice in tact, doing vocals is incredibly reliant on mouth and lip movement and I simply did not have the ability to move either. While getting into the accident gave me a new sense of gratitude for my life and the people who I love, I was also dealing with a lot of darkness. Many nights I would wake up crying – would my face ever look the same? Will I ever make music again? These were complete uncertainties to me at that point.

Absolute Zero is the first song that I wrote after my accident. It deals directly with the despair and uncertainty that I felt at that time. What I know now is that this sense of sadness that I experienced at that moment was necessary in order for me to progress as an individual and have true gratitude for my life. It is the beginning of a journey of personal growth, of which you will soon know more about.

David Brodsky, Allison Woest and their crew at My Good Eye did an amazing job capturing the overall aggression and despair of this song in the music video. I wanted the video to feel like a mental breakdown, and they nailed it. I’ve been suci a big fan of their work for years and they were truly the only people who had in mind to create visuals to our music. Getting to work with them was a dream. I’ve never felt so comfortable making music videos, and now I have two new friends for life.

Jillian Savage at Glam Nashville did my hair and makeup for this shoot. I’d be lying if I said that I haven’t struggled a bit with my face post-accident and Jililan made me feel so beautiful. She is incredible at what she does and brings such positive vibes with her. Jillian is also an incredible artist whose work you may recognize from the cover of Whitechapel‘s ‘Kin‘. Follow and support her.

I don’t know if our record would have turned out the way it did without my accident. When we pushed tracking back because of my accident, it allowed Evan [Brewer] the time to play bass on the record. His playing breathed new life into the songs and I can confidently say that we are not Entheos without his playing.

Navene truly outdid himself on this song. His unique style & songwriting approach continually amaze me. He has long been my favorite musician and I’m honored to get to add my vocals to the music that he writes. Some of you may notice the call backs to songs from ‘Dark Future‘ that are present in Absolute Zero – that is all Navene. The overall concept that he had for this entire record on a musical level blow me away – I still notice new things with every listen.

Zack Ohren has been involved with this band for as long as any of us have and he did such a great job on the drum tracking & editing. Always honored to have him on board.

Mark Lewis‘s engineering on this song truly took our sound to another level. I love Mark‘s mixes because he is so good at making bands sound like the best versions of themselves without ever making them sound identical or compromising. His mixes always serve the material he’s working on & truly made us sound like the best version of ENTHEOS.

Hope you all enjoy the song. Cannot wait to share more with you.

Chaney“

Entheos have premiered a new video for their new song “Absolute Zero.“ The band commented:

“To us, ‘Absolute Zero‘ has always felt like an obvious choice to release as a single. It’s a raw, aggressive song that represents the descent into darkness that we often times must face in order to progress and appreciate our lives. The video was shot by the incredible David Brodsky and Allison Woest, who were able to capture the emotion of the song perfectly.”

Entheos Sign Worldwide Deal With Metal Blade Records

Entheos, the band featuring Navene Koperweis (ex-Animals As Leaders) and Chaney Crabb, have signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records. The duo’s new album will be released through the label in 2022.

The band commented:

“We are incredibly excited to announce that we have signed with Metal Blade Records. Metal Blade is a pillar in the metal community and consistently releases music from many of the world’s greatest bands. We are proud to be associated with such a label and look forward to our future working together.”

They also added the following about working as a duo:

“We respect each other greatly – not only as artists, but as people. Our relationship and the mutual passion that we have for Entheos has consistently been the backbone of this band. We share a vision that we are unwilling to compromise – in music, art, live shows and beyond.

Having been together romantically for ten years, we are very aware of how to play to each other’s strengths. In the creative process, we don’t just write for the sake of our own voice being heard, but what would complement both of our musical voices and vision.

We don’t want anything about this project to be an afterthought, so in the creative and planning stages, it is crucial for us to see it together as a whole and understand how we both fit in.”

“We took the pandemic as an opportunity to reimagine every aspect of the band and plan on re-emerging stronger and more focused than ever with a new release. With this record, we are pushing beyond the boundaries of what we believe this band is.

It is by far the heaviest and fastest record we’ve made, while simultaneously being the most dynamic and diverse showcase of genre-bending musicianship, melody and progressive themes. We are also more focused than ever on vocal performance, and Chaney will be incorporating pitched screaming and singing along with a more diverse metal vocal range.”

“Six years, two albums and many tours later, it is just the two of us, and we want to prove that the heart and soul of Entheos is not only far from gone, but that in this iteration, we can still deliver the best and most passionate release that we have created.”
