Archspire Postpone Canadian Tour, Working On New Album

Archspire have postponed their Canadian tour with Soreption, Entheos, and Wormhole due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, there is some good news as the band are working on a new album.

Archspire said the following:

“As many of you probably suspected by now, “Tech Trek Canada” is going to be put on hold. We have no idea how long travel restrictions are going to be in place, and we want to do all we can to help prevent the spread this coronavirus, which includes staying at home.

We will hopefully have announcements in the coming months about rescheduling, but for now we’ll be focusing on writing a new album by sending eachother ideas online, instead of our normal practice routine.

We are deep into the writing of this album, so this extra time we have to focus on the material will be very helpful, however being separated will put a new dynamic on our writing style.

As well, many of you know that we are a full time touring band. That is the primary way of how we earn our living, so if you’d like to help support us in this uncertain time, please pickup a shirt, grab a vinyl or CD, stream us online, or purchase a guitar/bass tab book. Links below.

Thanks for the awesome support, we’ll see you guys soon!

Actor Jason Momoa Got Coaching From Archspire’s Vocalist For His War Cry In “See”

As previously reported, Archspire’s Oliver Rae Aleron (aka Oli Peters) and Spencer Prewett appeared in the first episode of the Apple TV+ series “See.” Now, Aleron has revealed that he also helped Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”, “Game Of Thrones”) learn his vocal style, so the actor could use it for his character’s war cry.

Aleron told IndieWire the following:

“Jason has such an interest in music and has done aggressive acting scenes before, so he was a quick learner for this. We spent time getting him familiar with what the vocal style is and were messaging back and forth while Archspire was on tour. When we hung out on sets, in between takes I’d come over to him and we’d go over the lines together.”

He also added the following about his and Prewett’s cameo:

“Already having the background experience of being in front of cameras while playing and having to have high energy during go time helped us out with being on screen. Being on a big-budget TV set was a trip, and Jason putting us in speaks to the creative side of what he does. He has this crazy reputation and status, but he’s just a fun metal dude.”

Archspire Premiere New Song “Human Murmuration”

Archspire have premiered a new song titled “Human Murmuration.” This song is from their new album “Relentless Mutation,” which will be released on September 22.

The band commented:

“‘Human Murmuration‘ is the second track off our upcoming release ‘Relentless Mutation“, and also the second song we wrote for the album. This spacy, sometimes ethereal jam comes with some pretty groove-heavy parts to balance things out. It was one of those songs that took a long time to put together, but once we were in studio listening to the final version, it became clear that this song had something different. We are looking forward to sharing the full album with you on September 22nd through Season Of Mist! Stay Tech!”

Archspire Premiere New Song “Remote Tumour Seeker”

Archspire have premiered a new song titled “Remote Tumour Seeker.” This song is from their new album “Relentless Mutation,” which will receive be released on September 22.

Oli Aleron commented:

“The concept for this song is based partly on the split brain experiment where (when split) one hemisphere will lie to justify the actions of the other. In this case the subject had a living tumour installed on his brain that caused the healthy half to split apart. This leads him to believe that two sides of his one brain are split into two people. The hunter and the prey.

The seeker begins to track the other part of his brain using remote vision and a beacon sent out by the tumour. He begins an endless hunt for his other half. Opening skull after skull looking for it, unaware that his other brain still resides within his own head. It’s one of the many experiments done by the A.U.M cult in an attempt to better understand a living black matter discovered centuries ago and its varying effects on human subjects.”
