Archspire Finish Recording New Album

Archspire have officially finished the recording process for their new album. The band commented

“WE DID IT! We completed our 6 week sentence in Music Prison (FLATLINE AUDIO Studios in Colorado) with Tech Support Professional DAVE OTERO at the helm! We went with Dave once again as a follow-up to our 2017 release: RELENTLESS MUTATION, where our deep love for him was first kindled. This album is a product of roughly two and a half years of writing, and we truly feel it’s the most solid material we’ve ever created. This album is very fast, so please enjoy responsibly. Stay Tech!“

Archspire Postpone Canadian Tour, Working On New Album

Archspire have postponed their Canadian tour with Soreption, Entheos, and Wormhole due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, there is some good news as the band are working on a new album.

Archspire said the following:

“As many of you probably suspected by now, “Tech Trek Canada” is going to be put on hold. We have no idea how long travel restrictions are going to be in place, and we want to do all we can to help prevent the spread this coronavirus, which includes staying at home.

We will hopefully have announcements in the coming months about rescheduling, but for now we’ll be focusing on writing a new album by sending eachother ideas online, instead of our normal practice routine.

We are deep into the writing of this album, so this extra time we have to focus on the material will be very helpful, however being separated will put a new dynamic on our writing style.

As well, many of you know that we are a full time touring band. That is the primary way of how we earn our living, so if you’d like to help support us in this uncertain time, please pickup a shirt, grab a vinyl or CD, stream us online, or purchase a guitar/bass tab book. Links below.

Thanks for the awesome support, we’ll see you guys soon!

Actor Jason Momoa Got Coaching From Archspire’s Vocalist For His War Cry In “See”

As previously reported, Archspire’s Oliver Rae Aleron (aka Oli Peters) and Spencer Prewett appeared in the first episode of the Apple TV+ series “See.” Now, Aleron has revealed that he also helped Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”, “Game Of Thrones”) learn his vocal style, so the actor could use it for his character’s war cry.

Aleron told IndieWire the following:

“Jason has such an interest in music and has done aggressive acting scenes before, so he was a quick learner for this. We spent time getting him familiar with what the vocal style is and were messaging back and forth while Archspire was on tour. When we hung out on sets, in between takes I’d come over to him and we’d go over the lines together.”

He also added the following about his and Prewett’s cameo:

“Already having the background experience of being in front of cameras while playing and having to have high energy during go time helped us out with being on screen. Being on a big-budget TV set was a trip, and Jason putting us in speaks to the creative side of what he does. He has this crazy reputation and status, but he’s just a fun metal dude.”
