Polyphia Postpone Two Shows After Drummer Clay Aeschliman Dislocates His Clavicle

Polyphia drummer Clay Aeschliman has dislocated his clavicle and will be requiring surgery. As a result, the band have been forced to postpone their shows in Ft. Worth and Austin, Texas.

The group commented:

“We want to start off by saying how proud we are for how this tour has turned out. You all sold out every single show, and we are all feeling very grateful to have you as our fans.

Unfortunately, Clay Aeschliman got in an accident (he’s okay) and disclocated his clavicle, and will need surgery to put it back in place. He is in a lot of pain and is unable to lift his arm on that side.

Because we want to be able to deliver the absolute best Polyphia show in its purest form, we have come to the extremely difficult decision to postpone our last two shows in Ft. Worth and Austin, as we believe our true vibe on stage together as the four of us cannot be replicated without one of us.

We simply cannot put into words how disappointed we are that we won’t be able to finish the tour this week, but will make sure the postponed shows are absolutely immaculate, as you have all been amazing to us and deserve nothing less. Refunds are available upon request and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates. We will keep you updated as soon as we have something booked and ready to announce.

Thank you for all your patience and understanding of the situation. We know it’s an all around shitty thing to have to work around, but you can count on us to make it up to you.

Much love and oh man.”
