Black Map Share Billy Idol & U2 Covers Medley

Black Map (dredg, The Trophy Fire, etc.) have shared a new covers medley featuring Billy Idol‘s “Eyes Without A Face” and U2‘s “Exit.” Ben Flanagan commented:

“We had wrapped up the recording of our forthcoming album and still had the bug to create. At rehearsals we started jamming on covers from bands that influenced us in various ways and this whole thing just really came together. We wanted to be ambitious and combine a couple great songs that we felt would blend in a way that allowed us to put our own stamp on. While the album is getting finalized we wanted to give fans something special to enjoy before dropping new original music, which is right around the corner.”

Black Map Sign With Minus Head Records

Black Map have signed a new deal with their old label home Minus Head Records and are planning to release a new album in spring 2021. Ben Flanagan commented:

“Minus Head was where everything started. They took early interest in us and it made a world of difference for our confidence as a band going forward. Re-signing with them feels like coming full circle and returning home.”
