As previously reported, Metallica will be releasing a 30th anniversary expanded edition of “The Black Album” and a massive tribute album called “The Metallica Blacklist“ on September 10. Now, the group have shared two more tracks from “The Metallica Blacklist.” Among them are Volbeat’s cover of “Don’t Tread On Me” and SebastiAn’s “Don’t Tread On Me” and “Nothing Else Matters” covers medley “Don’t Tread On Else Matters.” Volbeat commented on their cover:

“We didn’t want to touch any of the big hits on that album, which is quite difficult because they’re all hits, somehow. We were trying to pick a song that you don’t hear as much from that album, and the most important thing was to pick a song where we could transform it into a Volbeat song. ‘Don’t Tread On Me‘ definitely had a swing that I could turn into a Volbeat‘ swing, and it turned out really great.”

Metallica Team Up With Vans For New “Black Album” 30th Anniversary Shoes

Metallica have joined forces with Vans once again to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 1991 self-titled album (aka “The Black Album”) with new limited edition Sk8-Hi and Classic Slip-On shoes. The footwear, which features artwork designed by Pushead, will be available to members of the Vans Family on July 25 at 9 p.m. PST. They will also be available on Metallica.com on July 26 at 9 a.m. PST.
