A Perfect Circle have premiered a new song titled “Starless.” You can check that out below. Vocalist Maynard James Keenan commented:
“Absolutely chuffed to debut this new track on stage in the U.K.. Of course I’m excited to release the recordings but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live.”
Guitarist/vocalist Billy Howerdel added:
“Some songs get kicked around and massaged for years. But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along.”
Crystal Lake have recruited vocalist Myke Terry (Volumes, Fire From The Gods) for the June leg of their tour with Jinjer and Entheos. He will be filling the void left by former singer John Robert Centorrino.
Crystal Lake commented:
“We have really cool news to announce. For the June tour dates in the USA, our friend Myke Terry @myketerryble (Volumes/Fire From The Gods) will be filling in on vocals for Crystal Lake.
Earlier this year Myke appeared as a featured vocalist on our song “Neversleep”. We’re so grateful to Myke and Volumes for helping us out. We had such a great time together on the Japan tour in April.
We’re looking forward to seeing you all at our upcoming dates in the US. A second guest vocalist for the July dates will be announced soon.

Sun Dont Shine, the project featuring Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), and Todd Strange (ex-Crowbar), have premiered a new video for their song “All You Wasted.” That track is from the band’s latest album “From Birth To Death.”
The Barbarians Of California have premiered a new video for their new song “THE GNARLYCORE CLASS.” This track is from the band’s new album, “MEGATONS,” which will be released on August 21.
Eric Stenman said the following about the single:
“Sometimes when writing a new song, the goal is to land on a tempo that hasn’t been used anywhere else on the album. ‘GNARLYCORE’ was just that. I think Aaron [Bruno] has been wishing for something in this vein for a while now. This was the second to last song that we came up with for ‘MEGATONS,’ and it seemed to come together quickly and effortlessly.”
He also added the following about the album:
“Everyone has heard of the sophomore slump. Making a second album can be a fraught process full of overthinking and self-doubt. Perhaps, the benefit of us starting this band, at this later point in our lives, relieves some of that pressure. This felt so easy, and is a seamless continuation of whatever we started with the first batch of song — just bigger and better.”

Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) has premiered a new video for her new song “The Trace Outlives.” You can check that out below. The track, which features Sayo Komada, is from the singer’s new album, “Frisson Noir,” which will be released on June 12.
The following was said about the single:
“Inspired by the Japanese phenomenon of ‘Johatsu,’ people who deliberately disappear from their lives, ‘The Trace Outlives’ tells a story of vanishing without a trace, exploring the emotional weight of leaving one’s identity behind to start anew in anonymity, while reflecting on regret, freedom, and the invisible marks that remain even in absence. Rooted in this concept, the song also incorporates the sound of the shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument resembling a guitar but with a distinctly more percussive character, brought to life by the young talent Sayo Komada.”
Turunen added:
“I was looking for a sound that would take me to Japan and found a beautiful ancient instrument that resembles a guitar, but has a more percussive sound – the shamisen, traditionally used in puppet theaters. I invited the young talent Sayo Komada to blend her art with my song.”
TheBoyShadow, the new project featuring Connor Sweeney (ex-Loathe), have premiered a new video for their new song “INNOCENT INSTINCT.” You can check that out below:
Flotsam And Jetsam have shared a video for the title track of their new album “Rats In The Temple.” That effort will be released August 28. Frontman Eric A.K. Knutson said the following about the single:
“We’re super excited to release the first single from the album, which is very fittingly the title track, ‘Rats In The Temple’! This song has a lot to say, and we hope the fans love the song as much as we do. This is possibly one of the most technically challenging songs FLOTSAM has ever recorded, and we look forward to delivering this song live as well!”
Moonspell have premiered a new video for their new song “Cross Your Heart.” This track is from their new album, “Far From God,” which will be released on July 3. Frontman Fernando Ribeiro commented:
“Reminiscent of ‘Irreligious’ with a modern and dark twist, this gothic metal song tells us about the shrines that we can frequently find on the roads of all countries in the world and that are erected as a painful memory to those who departed in car and bike crashes, often too soon, every time too painfully. Like a band who made miles upon miles and a few crashes themselves, we are privileged observers of the daily and nightly life on the roads, the promised cities, the bitter disappointments, the anguish of a portable life. Before such powers we can only cross our heart and hope to live enough before our time does come.”
It appears Protest The Hero have something planned for the near future. The band recently purged their social media accounts of content and have since shared the below teaser image:
