MNRK Music Group have aquired the rights to Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society catalog. The deal covers all of the band’s recorded works.
MNRK Music Group CEO/president Sean Stevenson said the following about the agreement:
“Zakk has been part of the MNRK family for many years, and this deal reflects the strength of that relationship. Black Label Society has built one of the most enduring and loyal fanbases in heavy music. Owning and continuing to grow this catalog is a natural next step for us, and we’re proud to deepen our partnership with Zakk for the long term.”
MNRK Heavy‘s SVP Scott Givens added:
“Zakk Wylde is one of the true icons of modern heavy music. The Black Label Society catalog represents decades of powerful songwriting, unforgettable riffs, and an incredibly dedicated global audience. We’re excited to bring new energy to these releases and continue expanding their reach across streaming, vinyl, and new generations of fans.”
Foo Fighters have shared an in-studio performance of “Of All People” as part of Vevo‘s new “Extended Play” series. The clip was recorded during a session at 606 Studio in Los Angeles, CA. The track appears on the band’s latest album “Your Favorite Toy.”
Disfear Drummer Marcus Andersson has sadly passed away. His death was related to a lengthy battle with glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
The band issued a statement:
“With profound sadness and grief, we are sharing the news of the untimely passing of our longtime friend and drummer, Marcus Andersson. Marcus fought incredibly hard but ultimately lost his 4-year battle with glioblastoma and leaves behind his beloved wife, children and dog.
Marcus has played with Disfear since 1998, contributing significantly to the creative trajectory of the band. Marcus was the best of friends, an incredible drummer, and a driving force, full of passion. A big heart, pumping to a rhythm that only he could uniquely master, has sadly stopped beating.
Losing Marcus, following the losses of Henrik and Tomas, is hard to comprehend.

200 Stab Wounds have premiered a new song titled “Pangs Of Conscience.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Lowest Form,” which will be released on February 19 via Metal Blade Records.
The group commented:
“This song is about entering a point in your life where you find yourself sometimes making mistakes that go against who you really are as a human, and having to find yourself again. This song is one of the most dynamic musically and lyrically that we’ve done, and we’re really proud of it.”
They also added:
“We are very excited to finally release ‘Lowest Form‘ to the world. We’ve worked harder on this record than anything else in our lives. We’re really proud of this one, and we hope you guys enjoy it as much as we do. See you somewhere in the world. Here’s to a new chapter.”

As I Lay Dying have premiered two new songs, “Polarized” and “Retribution.” A music video for “Polarized” and a lyric video for “Retribution” can be found below. Both tracks are from their new self-titled album, which will be released on February 5.
The band commented on the singles:
“‘Polarized’ and ‘Retribution’ show two very different sides of what we’ve been creating. One leans more melodic, while the other is darker, faster, and heavier, with much of the record living somewhere between the two. Despite how different they are, both still feel rooted in what As I Lay Dying is. We’re excited for people to hear them and to bring this new chapter of the band on the road in February.”
They also added the following about the album:
“Making this the first self-titled As I Lay Dying album felt significant because the record feels like both a continuation and a reset. We weren’t trying to recreate one era of the band or force the songs into a narrow definition of what As I Lay Dying should sound like. We wanted to bring together everything we naturally gravitate toward: melody, aggression, speed, heaviness, emotion, atmosphere, and big riffs, while making sure every song still felt unmistakably like As I Lay Dying.”
