  • U.S. Army Opens “Administrative Review” After Two Military Attack Helicopters Visit Kid Rock’s Home

Kid Rock, who has close ties to U.S. president and convicted felon Donald Trump, was recently visited by some military attack helicopters. The choppers passed over a “No Kings” protest in Nashville, TN before heading to the musician’s “Southern White House” mansion. Notably, the incident is currently under “administrative review” by the U.S. Army.

Maj. Jonathan Bless, public affairs officer for the 101 Airborne Division, told Newschannel 5 the following:

“Fort Campbell leadership is aware of a video circulating on social media depicting AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence associated with Mr. Robert Ritchie (also known as ‘Kid Rock’)”

“The command has initiated an investigation to review the circumstances surrounding this activity.”

“The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell maintain strict standards for aviation safety, professionalism, and adherence to established flight regulations. We take all concerns regarding aircraft operations and their impact on the surrounding community seriously.”

He also added the following about the helicopters getting low near the protest:

“Our pilots do regularly fly routes outside the Fort Campbell area. We just don’t know if it was incidental or if it was deliberate.”

For his part, Kid Rock was thrilled by the stunt:

“This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

  • Charlie Benante Agrees With Billy Corgan’s Comments About Rock Music Being Silenced In The Late ’90s: “There Was A Coup”

As previously reported, Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) recently made headlines after claiming that rock music was “purposely dialed down in the culture” in the late ’90s. Now, during an interview with Hot Metal, Charlie Benante (Anthrax, Pantera, etc.) responded to those comments, saying he agrees.

    Benante said the following:

“That’s something I’ve been saying for the longest time. He just said it in a more eloquent way but these f*cking gatekeepers who still prevent our type of music from the masses (accessing it) … they just kind of chain us and they don’t give us the chances that we deserve that they give other music.

Country music, man? I mean, I’m not in it, I don’t dig it, I appreciate what they do. But that music is so … it’s saturated. You know, the whole pop … they open the gates for this type of stuff. I mean rock music still has a voice, there’s a movement, you know? People need to recognise it again, what it is.

    There was a coup.

I think who did it … I want to say Clear Channel, all of a sudden they started buying up radio stations and replacing … I’ll give you a perfect example. In LA, there was this radio station called KNAC. That station was one of the greatest stations because it gave rock fans a place to go, a dial. Turn your dial, here’s KNAC.

When they removed KNAC [Libernman Broadcasting bought KNAC, not Clear Channel,] that market over there dropped so much. It changed and then it spread around the country. MTV too, remember? MTV one day said ‘we’re done playing this type of stuff’. It hurt the music business. Look what happened. Nobody came to rescue us.”

  • Plini To Release New Album “An Unnameable Desire” In April

Plini will be releasing a new album, titled “An Unnameable Desire,” on April 24. A video for the effort’s title track can be found below:

    Plini commented on the album:

“Something I’m very happy about, after many years of making music and the “career” aspect of it becoming a whole lot more serious, is that the process hasn’t changed – still just me sitting in a room, tinkering on a guitar until I come across an interesting idea, and then following it down various rabbit holes until it starts feeling like a song.

The intention with this album was to let that side of the process be as playful as possible, and then when it came to executing these ideas as finished songs, trying to expand the music in every direction possible: the heavier parts should be heavier, the pretty parts should be prettier, the hard-to-play stuff should be harder to play… and also in being as thoughtful and intricate as possible in relating the songs to each other through various themes and references. I hope it’s as enjoyable to listen to as it was to make!”

He also added the following about the single:

“I picked this as the first single because it sets the tone/sound of the album without really giving anything away. I’m known as a guitarist, but this song doesn’t even really contain a guitar “solo”. Much like the video, it’s the whimsical first chapter of an adventure, and hopefully gives a false sense of security for what’s to come.”

    “An Unnameable Desire” Track Listing:

    01. “Dorénavant“
    02. “An Unnameable Desire“
    03. “Ciel“
    04. “Canyon“

    06. “Manala“
    07. “Vespertine“
