  • Bassist And Guitarist Exit Reflections Due To Their “ICE Apologist” Vocalist

Bassist Francis Xayana and guitarist Patrick “Patty” Somoulay have both exited Reflections. The duo blamed their departures on vocalist Jake Wolf.

    Xayana said the following:

“Jake has always had control of the band.

There’s a reason Patty left even though he is the primary writer.

Jake is an ICE apologist and I will not fuck with someone like that.

I don’t give a flying fuck what we’ve been through. I cannot trust a person who thinks this is necessary.

And honestly fuck you if you support this ICE shit. You’re a fucking bitch.

And instead of getting into your fucking feelings y’all should have been listening to Black voices this entire time.

Now when a white person is killed in the same form they’ve experienced for centuries, we are at end game.

There is no going back. This is the beginning of the end if people continue to turn a blind eye.

He’s going to kill anyone who opposes him.”

    Somoulay added:

“I am no longer a part of Reflections.

A lot of stuff happening in life lately where it just does not feel okay to continue on with this myself.

    Also f**k ICE.

This isn’t the country my family wanted to risk their lives to come to”

  • Dave Mustaine “Might” Record A Solo Album After Megadeth’s Farewell Tour

During a recent interview with Teraz Rock, Dave Mustaine discussed the possibility of recording a solo album after Megadeth’s farewell tour. He is still undecided, but he said he “might” pursue the idea.

Mustaine said the following about a solo record:

“I might. I don’t think so. I might. I might. Right now, things are going so great for us, we’re not even really thinking about the end. We’re thinking about the beginning of this, this campaign, and heading out and, and showing this [new] music to our fans.

And we’ve been looking at the tours that we’ve got on our schedule, and everything’s doing really well ticket-wise. Dates are selling out way in advance, and that’s good for us too because in many of the places that we booked, we’ve had to go to a different configuration.

Some places will be set up for, say, for example, 7,000 seats and they’ve got some seats up in the top that they’ve blocked off. And a band comes in and they keep selling tickets, they’ll open up those areas. ‘Cause a lot of times they don’t open those areas up because it looks bad for bands that don’t sell out the venue. And we’ve had a lot of concerts already that has — it’s gone to a bigger-size venue.”

  • Moodring Share “Death Fetish” Album Sampler

Moodring have shared a sampler featuring teasers of all the songs on their new album “Death Fetish.” That effort will be released on March 27.

    Hunter Young commented:

“If you’ve been following the singles from a musical, lyrical, and visual standpoint you’ll know…this is more than just music to me.

When I got sick, I was told my chances of full recovery were about 5% and was explicitly told the more I forced myself past my new limits, the further my quality of life would continue to decline. I didn’t listen. On the surface, I was resting, or at least pretending to. In reality, it only made me push harder. But here we are in 2026, and I’m still fighting too hard. I can’t stomach a life without creating, in any capacity that I am able to.

Currently, I am housebound (mostly bed-bound) while still doing my best to find peace and release whatever I can into the world. “death fetish” is a bleak album hiding behind veiled electronics, heavy guitars, and pop hooks. This record is a eulogy to the person I used to be. The way this sickness has affected those in my life and the way it continues to steal with no end in sight. From losing my identity, body, and mind, to the visceral reaction to the ones I lost or the ones who choose not believe me and talk in the shadows.

Through it all, I remain grateful for the people still around and the ones who listen a little closer to hear me loud and clear.”

  • Alex Honnold Was Listening To Tool During His Taipei 101 Skyscraper Climb

Free solo climber Alex Honnold recently climbed the Taipei 101 in Tapei, Taiwan as part of a live special for Netflix. Notably, he has since revealed that he was listening to Tool during the death-defying stunt. He told Variety the following about that:

“It was mostly Tool. It’s a random playlist that I made, that I shared with production. I made it months ago while I was driving. I’ve been training to it a bunch. Basically, rock music that I’ve liked my whole life. Part of the appeal of music is that actually it helps me with pacing. Each bamboo box had been taking me about five to six and a half minutes. I just know how long the songs are. So it gives you a sense of if you’re going fast or slow. But in this case, it all kept cutting out anyway, and I couldn’t really hear and I was kind of like, ‘Whatever. I’m just doing my thing.’”
