  • New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert Recovering From Brain Surgery

New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert has revealed that he is recovering from brain surgery. He underwent the operation to remove three tumors.

    Gilbert said the following:

“On February 20th, I played a show in Nashville and was struggling to control the movements of my left hand. My left leg was getting weaker by the day and I started stumbling and falling at times.

On the 23rd I was taken to the ER where a CT scan showed 3 new tumors had appeared in my brain. On 2/27 I had successful brain surgery and have been recovering in the hospital since. I regained function of my left hand immediately 🙏🏻

My radiation oncologist described it like this: “this is not a fatal blow and not the end of your story, just the beginning of a new chapter.” My recovery has been bumpy at times but I’m feeling much better now and getting stronger by the day.

Thankful to everyone who’s checked in on me and helped my family during this lengthy and challenging journey. Can’t use my phone much yet and have a lot of messages to catch up on. More stories to come when my brain is working well again.

Love you all and am looking forward to sharing more music and fun with you as we come out of this ❤️”

  • The 69 Eyes Share Music Video For Their Cover Of Thin Lizzy’s “Cold Sweat”

The 69 Eyes have shared a new video for their cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Cold Sweat.” This track is from the band’s new EP, “I Survive,” which will be released on June 5. Frontman Jyrki 69 commented:

“A friend of mine sent me our demo of ‘Cold Sweat’ from over ten years ago and asked why we never released it. After hearing the demo, Gabi Hakanen, head of Vallila Music House, said, ‘This is exactly The 69 Eyes at their best. Rock for the radio!’ Every respectable rock band also covers Thin Lizzy at some point, so now that is done as well.”

  • Four-Fifths Of King Diamond’s Late ’80s Lineup Announce New Project Lex Legion

Four-fifths of King Diamond’s late ’80s lineup, Mikkey Dee, Andy La Rocque, Pete Blakk, and Hal Patino, have announced a new project called Lex Legion. The band, which also features Nils K. Rue, will be releasing their debut album in June via MNRK Music Group. The effort’s first single, “Sleep Eternally,” will be released on March 31.

    La Rocque commented:

“There’s elements of everything on the album. The right tempo and the right kind of vocals, both starting out like a fist in your face! This is totally unique. No one is writing this kind of music and there’s a big hole for us to fill. The album is a journey and every song is like the beat of a movie. I want listeners to travel back. The song style is different (to King Diamond) but still from the same era. The riffs are different and the arrangements are a little less progressive and a little more straightforward.”

    Dee added:

“Lex Legion is totally written the way we thought in the ’80s..We wrote what we wanted, and if you liked it, that was a great bonus. If you didn’t like it, that was fine with us, too! Enjoy it or fuck off!”

The album will include the following tracks:

    01. “Sleep Eternally”
    02. “Gypsy Tears”
    03. “When The Stars Align”
    04. “(I Am) The Resurrected”
    05. “Lost Inside”
    06. “Darkness”
    07. “Saviours”
    08. “Life Eternal”
    09. “Far Away”

  • Guitarist Richie Faulkner Says Judas Priest Have Started Recording Their Next Album

  • Don Broco Share Music Video For “True Believers” Featuring Sam Carter (Architects)

Don Broco have premiered a new video for their new song “True Believers.” The track, which features Architects frontman Sam Carter, is from the band’s new album, “Nightmare Tripping,” which will be released tomorrow (March 27).

    Don Broco’s Rob Damiani commented:

“We started writing this song back in 2024 during the Southport Riots. At the same time the Olympics were on, and flicking between them and the news was an alarming contrast between celebratory British patriotism and violent English nationalism. Over the last few years it’s been impossible to avoid the rise of the far-right across Europe and the United States, seeing politicians and people on the streets alike using the Nazi salute freely without consequence, and genocide apologist’s ideas embraced in the mainstream media. This song is about the brainwashing that’s led to this, to question what we’ve been brought up believing and the narratives that have been reinforced for generations.

As soon as the initial ideas were fleshed out I wanted Sam on this track. We’ve been fans of Architects for a long time and the energy and aggression he brings to his vocals are unmatched. As a human being of planet earth he’s used his talents again and again to stand up for what’s right so to collaborate on this song with him was very special.”

  • Legal Dispute Breaks Out Over The Estate Of The Late Shifty Shellshock (Crazy Town)

According to TMZ, a legal dispute has broke out over the estate of the late Seth “Shifty Shellshock” Binzer (Crazy Town). The situation has been a complicated one due to the singer’s lack of will.

Shifty‘s ex and the mother of his 17-year-old son Gage, Tracy Shelor was seeking to become the administrator of the estate in May 2025. Around that time, it was estimated to be worth $140,000.

However, in July 2025, Shifty‘s older son Halo Binzer tried to gain control of the estate and the estimate was closer to $90,500. Shelor protested Halo‘s bid and accused him of “squandering” his father’s royalties and hiding “personal effects.”

For his part, Halo denied those allegations and claimed his father’s estate had “no tangible personal effects of any value.” He also said Shifty “had a severe substance abuse problem and sold anything of value to support his lifestyle.”

As if that wasn’t enough, Jasmine Lennard, the mother of Shifty’s son Phoenix, also took legal action after taking issue with Shelor. The two previously had problems in the past.

Notably, Shelor has since disputed Halo‘s valuation of the estate. According to her, an unreleased album, two potential documentaries, and other potential contracts were not accounted for.

  • Frozen Soul Share Music Video For “Invoke War” Featuring Machine Head’s Robb Flynn

Frozen Soul have premiered a new video for their new song “Invoke War.” The track, which features Machine Head vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn, is from the band’s new album, “No Place Of Warmth,” which will be released on May 8.

    Vocalist Chad Green commented:

“‘Invoke War‘ is about the internal battle we all have to fight when navigating loss, grief, guilt, and depression. It’s about getting back up. It’s meant to be the anthem to your day, the background music to your story, the extra weapon you might need to help conquer whatever you’re struggling with. Robb’s lyrics add a whole new layer of power and emotion to the song. This is a follow up to ‘Arsenal Of War,’ which was about remembering and carrying the light and memories of your lost loved one with you.

We wanted to show that this isn’t some big war with a ton of actors—this is the war we fight alone inside every day. We brought trinkets to hold up in the video to remember the good times and remind us that the battle may never end but we can choose to remember while we move forward. At the end, I dig up the dagger from the ‘No Place Of Warmth’ video out of the bloody soil, a symbol of how hard it is to remember and relive those things. That dagger has my [late] brother Cory’s name engraved on the side facing away from the camera. I stared at it the entire scene thinking about how badass he would think it was with me all bloody holding a dagger.”
