  • The Violent Hour Release New Song “Screenager”

The Violent Hour (ex-Butcher Babies, etc.) have released a new song titled “Screenager.” You can stream that track below. Frontwoman Carla Harvey had the following to say about the single:

“We wanted to write something that felt as relentless as the endless scroll. Musically, ‘Screenager’ channels the aggression and energy of early Metallica but opens up into huge, soaring melodic choruses. Lyrically, it’s about how we’ve traded genuine human connection for digital validation, and how anonymity has fueled a growing lack of empathy by making cruelty feel consequence-free. We’re more connected than ever, yet somehow we’ve never felt further apart. We asked our friend Attila Vörös to lay down the guitar solo for ‘Screenager’, and he absolutely delivered with a combination of ’80s shred and modern melodic metal that only he could pull off.”

The same goes for the video for ‘Raise the Raven Banner.’ We hold ourselves to the highest standards when it comes to visuals, making sure they match and elevate the music. We travelled to Estonia to work with our boys at Riivata Visuals from Finland, whose impressive portfolio also includes videos for our labelmates Orbit Culture, Humanity’s Last Breath, Allt, and Insomnium.

As part of the Century Media family alongside so many incredible bands, we’re equally grateful for the company we’ll be keeping on the road. • Rise Against Share New Songs “Katy Bar The Door” And “Living Undercover”

Rise Against have shared two new songs, “Katy Bar The Door” and “Living Undercover.” You can check out those tracks below:

Vocalist Tim McIlrath said the following about “Katy Bar The Door,” which takes its name from an old phrase about impending trouble:

“I don’t know where I came across this expression, but I immediately was taken with it. While an obscure reference now… I liked the idea of resurrecting it for this song, and that it sort of fits what it feels like to be alive in 2026.”

He went on to say it was written following the violent ICE raids in Minneapolis:

“This is not the first time in history we have reckoned with abuses of power. Bearing witness to the fragility of democracy is a scary thing, and it demands a response.”

He also commented on “Living Undercover,” which focuses on things hidden in plain sight:

“Sometimes it’s because we’re building something beautiful behind the curtain, other times we’re hiding some kind of darkness. I like the cloak and dagger feel of the song that ties into its central theme.”
