Palaye Royale Fire Touring Bassist Daniel Curcio Following Misconduct Allegations

Palaye Royale have fired touring bassist Daniel Curcio following allegations of misconduct with underage fans. The band commented:

“Palaye Royale have always been the three members. We are extremely disappointed in the actions of one of our touring musicians. His decisions are not in any way a reflection on us, we have worked our whole lives to achieve where we are today. Under no circumstances will we allow misconduct to anyone especially our fans; safety is our number one priority.”

Palaye Royale Premiere Animated Video For “Little Bastards”

Palaye Royale have premiered an animated video for their new song “Little Bastards.” This track is from their new album “The Bastards,” which will be released on May 29.

The storyboard for the clip is based on the band’s upcoming graphic novel and guitarist Sebastian Danzig had the following to say about it:

“‘Little Bastards’ is the opening track from our third album, ‘The Bastards’. Musically, we show the direction of the album all in a single track. The vulnerability, the truth and the aggression all wrapped together in a three-and-a-half-minute track which will set the listener up for what is too come for the next 14 tracks and what corners we will touch. Lyrically, it trails from our latest release ‘Lonely’ but displaying the frustration and anger towards individuals that are meant to be friends. Visually, we wanted to display our current state which is complete isolation from the world; trapped inside a house but yet the toxic society has found its way inside. We have to ‘band’ together to keep our circle of trust and honesty tight.”

Palaye Royale Premiere “Lonely” Video, Reveal Details For New Album “The Bastards”

Palaye Royale have premiered a new video for their new song “Lonely.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Bastards,” which will be released on May 29.

Remington Leith said the following about the new song:

“‘Lonely’ is about the mental and physical abuse I endured as a child. Growing up, I went through so much shit and at points felt so low I couldn’t see a way out. It has affected me deeply throughout my life but I want the world to know that no matter what you’re going through, if I can make it out on the other side, so can you.”

Emerson Barrett added the following about the new album:

“It takes place around the island of Obsidian and it’s set in 1888. In short, it’s a world that started off with intentions where the island encouraged free thinkers and artists to exist and, as everything does in life, eventually it becomes this political power and evil toxicity that comes with everything. To remain a true individual in the society, you must wear a gas mask.”

Sebastian Danzig also commented on the recording process:

“We rented an AirBnB in Joshua Tree, one in London, and we kept on going in little areas and writing new sections of the album. It’s crazy — we thought the album was done in March of last year, and we did the heavy stuff in Joshua Tree. We wrote ‘Little Bastards’ a week before the album was supposed to be mixed and mastered.”

Leith also had the following to say about the lyrics, which deal with subjects like mental health, gun violence, substance use, etc.:

“We need a little honesty and a little truth. The world is getting so tainted by everyone trying to be so fucking perfect and so goddamn PG and trying to walk this line of not trying to offend anyone. People need to be themselves, just for 20 minutes at least.”

Palaye Royale Premiere “Massacre, The New American Dream” Music Video

Palaye Royale have premiered a new video for their song “Massacre, The New American Dream.” You can check that out below:

The band commented:

“We need to put an end to gun violence. We can’t keep losing the lives of innocent people.

This is a protest. In hopes to give this new generation a revolution in the form of an anthem. We are all on the verge of waking up and truly understanding that people should not be afraid of their government, government should be afraid of their people. This is how we feel about the current state of America. We are the new era, United we stand, in search of retribution for those who have been wronged.

We are tired of seeing innocent people being gunned down so unbelievably often and still there is no change. How many more innocent people have to die for change to happen? Government and the news share no sort of resolve or actions of change for these problems. This is why we have chosen to donate proceeds from the single sales to Giffords and March For Our Lives who are on the front line, fighting to tackle the gun violence epidemic our nation currently faces. We encourage our fans to take a look at the incredible work they do and either purchase the single, donate directly or learn how to get involved at Giffords.org and MarchForOurLives.com

We put forth our creative anger to depict the current state of our civilization. Our protest song is titled ‘Massacre, The New American Dream’. It speaks to the fact that there seems to be more kids growing up to become famous for school shootings than famous for anything else in America. “In every Church, School and Synagogue, Virginia to Littleton when will it stop?”. We asked ourselves this question each time we see yet another mass shooting broadcast across our TVs. There is a shadow that looms over this generation, “What is the New American Dream?” To our understanding, “It’s a Massacre” but if we unite and work together, we can be the difference!” Join The Revolution – Palaye Royale (Daniel Curcio, Emerson Barrett, Remington Leith & Sebastian Danzig)”

Palaye Royale Premiere “Nervous Breakdown” Music Video

Palaye Royale have premiered a new video for their new song “Nervous Breakdown.” This clip and the band’s recent video for “Fucking With My Head” follow the story from their upcoming “Neutopian” graphic novel, which was written and illustrated by drummer Emerson Barrett.

The group commented:

“‘Nervous Breakdown’ is the continuation of the story we started with the video for ‘Fucking With My Head’. As the new era is beginning to be revealed, the viewer is cryptically introduced to Lieseil Inc and Warhol Stars.

For the past seven years of our career, we have been hinting at this in lyrics, music videos and artwork. Like an existential maze for the fans to figure out and link together. Recently we have been posting in binary and Morse code leading the fans further into the secrets of the conceptual story. Every new piece of material released is a further insight into the world that we have created.”
