Bobby Lynge Steps Away From Fit For A King To Sell Plants With His Wife

Bobby Lynge has announced that he is stepping away from Fit For A King. The guitarist’s decision comes after him and his wife started a plant shop in Fort Worth, TX.

Lynge commented:

“These three gentlemen mean more too me than they’ll ever know. I regret not telling them how important they were to me and how much I needed them in my life when we were on the road together. So, this post is for them.

A million thanks for all the hard work, amazing days & nights, long talks during drives and everything in between. This band is built with strong, talented, intelligent musicians. With more drive and charisma than most acts out there. Fit For A King will live forever.

At the end of 2017 I decided to make a massive shift in my life and start a business in Fort Worth with my wife, Emily. I could go into all the details as to why I was willing to sacrifice this incredible career, but let’s just keep it simple – I was not designed to be away from my wife and children for half, if not the majority of the year.

So we bought an airstream, renovated it and now we have a plant shop located in the heart of Fort Worth on Magnolia Ave.

I’ve been putting this announcement off because every time I would think about making a statement I would feel sick and need to come back to it at a later date. (I’m two tours late). So I apologize to you three for keeping our fans in the dark, forcing y’all to answer the awkward questions. I should’ve been transparent about this from the beginning.

I’m thankful that y’all are gracious enough to allow me to write & create while you tour the world. (I will be involved in the writing process as long as they’ll have me & will still be going into the studio with the band to write new heavy tunes.) It doesn’t feel right to say that I’ll never be on stage again, and it doesn’t feel right to say that I’ll never tour again.

So if you feel so inclined, continue to follow along to my journey as I talk about plants, my family, and bust out the occasional riff video. Maybe you’ll catch me out on the road with the guys in the future. But for now, I’m selling plants with my hot ass wife.

Thanks for everything. Riff on.”

Fit For A King Premiere “Oblivion” Video

Fit For A King have premiered a new video for their song “Oblivion.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Dark Skies.“ Ryan Kirby commented:

“‘Oblivion‘, on its own, is a very personal song to me, but with this video, it’s brought to a different level. The video shows how powerful forgiveness can be, and even when we don’t think others deserve it, God does. This video definitely isn’t for the faint of heart. But we believe it can show the power of forgiveness through the pain.”

Fit For A King Stream New Song “Oblivion”

Fit For A King are streaming a new song titled “Oblivion,” via Heavy Consequence. This track is from the band’s new album “Dark Skies,“ which will be released on September 14. Ryan Kirby commented:

“To put it simply, ‘Oblivion‘ is a story about a man’s search for forgiveness. The lyrics in this track were inspired by a fan (who wishes to remain anonymous), who had done some hurtful things to people he loved. He felt he was beyond forgiving, though he desired it deeply and wanted to make things right. The chorus, ‘Tell me I won’t be forgotten,’ is his cry to God to not abandon him, to give him peace. It’s one of the more emotional songs on the album.”

Fit For A King Stream New Song “When Everything Means Nothing”

Fit For A King are streaming a new song titled “When Everything Means Nothing.” This track is from the band’s new album “Dark Skies,“ which will be released on September 14. Ryan Kirby told Alternative Press that the song touches on people getting depressed when they see others on social media living seemingly better lives:

“We just wanted people to know that no one is living a perfect life. If you’re struggling through depression, anxiety, anything – it’s normal. It doesn’t make you less. People are going through these things even if you can’t see it.”

Fit For A King Stream New Song “Backbreaker”

Fit For A King are streaming a new song titled “Backbreaker.” This track is from the band’s new album “Dark Skies,“ which will be released on September 14. Ryan Kirby commented:

“‘Backbreaker‘ is a very personal song. It’s about the crippling social anxiety I used to suffer from. It can actually feel like the end of the world when you’re suffering from it. Fortunately, the band was a massive help in me overcoming the problem.

We wanted to take this album in a much more aggressive direction. The pace is a lot quicker and the subject matters are the most personal to us since ‘Slave To Nothing‘. We believe it’s the most diverse and in-your-face material we have ever written.”

Fit For A King Premiere “The Price Of Agony” Music Video

Fit For A King have premiered a new video for their song “The Price Of Agony,” via Revolver. This track is from the band’s new album “Dark Skies,“ which will be released on September 14. Vocalist Ryan Kirby commented:

“The song is about the political divide not just in America, but around the world and how this divide has caused us to not just disagree with others, but to despise people with differing views, even though outside of politics, we all have more in common than we allow ourselves to believe.”
