Matt Traynor To Exit Blessthefall

Drummer Matt Traynor has announced his departure from Blessthefall. You can catch him on tour with the band one last time this fall.

Traynor said the following:

“After much time and consideration, I have come to the personal decision to end my time with blessthefall. The Hard Feeling US tour will be my last.

Making the choice to step away from something that I have been a part of since its origin has been bittersweet. I was “living the dream” for twelve plus years, but now that I have a family, I’ve realized that my dream has changed.

I’m so proud to see how far BTF has gone and all the experiences I’ve had. I’ll never forget them.

I’d like to thank Beau, Jared, Eric, Elliott, Craig, Mike, Miles, Dave, our management, record labels, my sponsors, all of our crew members- who have been brothers/sisters to me and have shaped me to be who I am today. And of course my wife and family for juggling life around a touring schedule for so long. I’ll forever be grateful.

Lastly, I would like to thank every one of you, who over the years have supported me and this band. BTF would not have been able to withstand the test of time without such an amazing fan base. I hope to see as many of you as possible on my last tour and end my run with a bang!

✌🏼”

Vocalist Beau Bokan also tweeted that group will make their own statement soon:

Blessthefall Premiere “Sleepless In Phoenix” Music Video

Blessthefall have premiered a new video for their song “Sleepless In Phoenix.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Hard Feelings.”

Beau Bokan commented:

“It was pretty awesome filming this video about Phoenix while we were actually in Phoenix. The whole concept is about a dude who buys a possessed TV and he can’t get rid of it! We wanted sort of a ‘Black Mirror‘/’Twilight Zone‘ vibe. Since the narrative and the performance are happening at the same time, you’ll have to watch this multiple times to catch it all! This is one of the coolest videos we’ve ever made.”

Blessthefall Premiere New Song “Wishful Sinking”

Blessthefall have premiered a new song titled “Wishful Sinking.” This track is from the band’s new album “Hard Feelings,” which will be released on March 23, via Rise Records.

Beau Bokan commented:

“‘Wishful Sinking‘ is one of the first songs we wrote for this album. It’s got all the familiar Blessthefall vibes that any old school fan will recognize immediately. We wanted to do what we do best while finding a fresh sound. I think it’s one of the more dynamic songs vocally and musically. It takes you on a ride that ignites the whole album.”

Beau Bokan commented on signing with Rise:

“It’s not often a band like ours, that’s been together for nine years, that has five full-length albums, and that survives the ups and downs of the music scene, gets a chance at a fresh start. We’re here to say that we feel brand new again. Signing to Rise has rejuvenated us as a band and we couldn’t be more excited. They encouraged us to be ourselves and to continue to write the music that we wanted.

Our new album Hard Feelings is a culmination of everything we love. It has all the old Blessthefall feels, along with a fresh new sound that will knock you off your feet.”
