Arsis Premiere “Fathoms” Music Video

Arsis have premiered a new video for their new song “Fathoms.” This track is from the band’s new album “Visitant,“ which was released today (November 2).

Arsis To Release New Album “Visitant” In November, Premiere “Tricking The Gods” Music Video

Arsis have announced that their new horror film inspired album, “Visitant,” will be released on November 2. A video for the effort’s first single, “Tricking The Gods,” can be found below:

James Malone commented:

“I think Visitant is ARSIS’ most mature album but at the same time, it is also an album that harkens back to our youth. We all grew up on horror movies. For me personally my father would bring me, from a very early age, to the theater to see horror films. He passed his love of science fiction and horror down to me. I wanted to do something different for this album and it was just a natural move to incorporate this passion into Visitant. As I was doing my part of the writing I tried to capture the tone and atmosphere of some of my favorite films (Silver Bullet, From Beyond, Prince Of Darkness). It was a very satisfying and fun album to write and I think it might be what fans consider a ‘worthy follow-up’ to A Diamond For Disease.

“‘Tricking the Gods’ is inspired by my love of werewolf movies, specifically Stephen King’s Silver Bullet. I really liked the idea that everyone in the town was looking for this beast and it turned out to be the person they least expected: the minister. That blurred line between good and evil, heaven and hell made perfect song writing fuel.”

“Visitant” Track Listing:

01. “Tricking the Gods”
02. “Hell Sworn”
03. “Easy Prey”
04. “Fathoms”
05. “As Deep As Your Flesh”

09. “Dead Is Better”
10. “Unto the Knife”
11. “His Eye”s (Pseudo Echo Cover)

The band’s new album, which they have been recording with producer Mark Lewis, is expected to be released this year. Vocalist/guitarist James Malone commented:

“We are really excited to have found a label partner outside of the Americas. Agonia works with some great bands and we are pleased to be working with them moving forward. We look forward to reaching some new ground with a new record in 2018. Stay tuned for details.”

Arsis Post New Album Teaser

Arsis are currently recording a new album with producer Mark Lewis. You can check out a teaser for that below:

The band commented:

“Since the conclusion of the touring cycle for Unwelcome, myself and the members of Arsis have been busy with other projects, but I’m happy to announce that a new album is almost finished!

After returning home from a tour with Necromancing The Stone last March, I began writing for the next Arsis release and soon found myself completely consumed in the process. I don’t want to make an incredibly bold statement and say something to the effect of ‘it’s our best effort since (insert the highest regarded album title here)’ but I can say that I have not been this focused on a project since working on A Diamond for Disease. I feel that this focus is reflected in the music and I look forward to the album’s completion.

We finished tracking drums last week with producer Mark Lewis in Nashville and we will be tracking the rest of the album in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for studio videos and updates. Until then be sure to check out this pre-production video on some of our new songs that Shawn Priest put together!”
