Jamison Land Exits GWAR

Jamison Land has announced his departure from GWAR. The bassist, who has been playing the role of Beefcake The Mighty since 2011, is leaving to focus on his family and driving career. He said the following:

“I’ve parted ways with GWAR. I’m back in KY to spend more time with family and to focus on my driving career. Thank you to all my awesome fans and friends for the past 8 years of support.”

GWAR Apparently Made A Cameo In The Pilot Episode Of “Rick And Morty”

As GWAR themselves have pointed out, the late Oderus Urungus and Beefcake The Mighty apparently made a cameo in the pilot episode of “Rick In Morty” back in 2013. You can see a photo of that in the below tweet. This isn’t the only time GWAR have had a connection with the show either. The band also recently helped destroy a “Rick And Morty” themed bar in Washington D.C. after it was forced to close down following a cease-and-desist from Turner Broadcasting.
