    Iero added:

“I’ve been a fan of Jim Ward’s songwriting and guitar playing for more than half my life. started by going to see At the Drive-In play at Masonic lodges and VFW halls in my teens, to booking an opening spot with MCR on an ill-fated show opening for Sparta at the Birch Hill Nightclub in NJ in my 20s — this show was cancelled day of due to an exploding frozen pipe and no one played. Cut to now being asked to write some songs with him for the newest Sparta record in my 40s…”

  • Ingested Premiere New Song “Watch You Fold” Featuring John Gallagher (Dying Fetus)

Ingested have premiered a new song titled “Watch You Fold.” You can check that out below. The track, which features John Gallagher (Dying Fetus), will appear on the band’s new album, “Denigration,” which will be released on May 8.

    The group commented:

“‘Watch You Fold‘ is a character assassination in slow motion. Lyrically, it’s aimed at the kind of smug, greedy parasite who hides behind legacy and respectability while everyone around them suffocates. It’s about institutions and individuals who turned a once-respected space into a ‘fifty-year mockery,’ treating people like expendable fuel while they count the cash. The song is us standing in that claustrophobic room, calling out the lies, and promising that if you come for us, you’re actually coming for every single person we stand with.

The music is a deliberate nod to that mid-2000s Unique Leader school of blasting brutal death metal, fused with Sean’s melodic, brooding sense of atmosphere. It’s technical without showboating, relentless without losing groove, and built around riffs that feel like concrete. Having John Gallagher from Dying Fetus on the track was about closing a circle, his gutturals are instantly recognizable and tie the whole thing back to the era that shaped our sense of heaviness. This is the sound of a once-revered statue being dragged off its plinth and smashed to dust.”

  • Holding Absence Sign With Sumerian Records, Premiere “Whispers Of A Dream” Video

Holding Absence have signed a new deal with Sumerian Records. With this news, the band have also shared a video for their new song “Whispers Of A Dream.” Vocalist Lucas Woodland commented:

“‘Whisper Of A Dream‘ is our first song back in what feels like forever. After releasing our third record, ‘The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction‘, it felt essential to step away for a while – to take stock and rediscover who we are as a band. ‘Whisper‘ felt like the perfect song to return with. In many ways, it represents everything Holding Absence has always been, while introducing new elements to our sound and opening the door to what comes next. Lyrically and conceptually, the song draws heavily from cyberpunk media. Contemplation, sentience and dreaming in an ever-evolving world. The music video also introduces our robot mascot “Y4-BB0”, a character you’ll be seeing more of in the coming years.”

  • Turnstile On Former Guitarist Brady Ebert’s Arrest: “We Have No Language Left For Brady”

As previously reported, former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert was recently arrested on charges of attempted second degree murder and first degree assault after running a car into William Yates, the father of Turnstile singer Brendan Yates. Now, the band have officially commented on the situation.

The group told Rolling Stone the following:

“Turnstile cut ties with Brady Ebert in 2022 in response to a consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band, and the community. After exhausting every available resource to support his access to help and recovery, a boundary ultimately had to be set when healthy communication was no longer possible and he began threatening violence.

In the years since, his baseless tirades have continued in public. We never addressed it. We chose to protect his privacy and the circumstances around his departure, even when he did nothing to be deserving of that protection. Over the past few months, his threats only escalated further.

This past week, that violence led to a physical attack when Brady went to the house of Brendan’s parents and used his vehicle to run over Brendan’s father, causing severe physical trauma. We are grateful that Mr. Yates survived, has successfully undergone surgery, and we’re hoping for the best possible outcome in his recovery.

We have no language left for Brady. Please respect our privacy at this time.”

We kindly ask for grace and privacy as we navigate this extremely difficult time.

For those struggling with depression or urges to self harm, help is always available. We’re not in this alone.

“We are beyond excited to announce we are now signed to @purenoiserecs A few months ago we went in to record some songs with our now seems like fifth band member @randyleboeuf we knew we has to come out swinging because honestly, we always do. We are never, and will never be, satisfied by putting out the same thing twice. We once again pushed ourselves to make even crazier songs. Randy pushed us to be the best band we can be YET AGAIN. Pure Noise recognizing us was a dream dome true working with a label who actively wants to see us grow is truly a gift and the greatest privilege of our career to date. In the Name of the Father (out 4.23.26) is just the beginning.”
