NOWHERE2RUN, the project featuring Code Orange’s Eric “Shade” Balderose and Jami Morgan, will be releasing a new EP, titled “What Did You Do?,” on October 31. A video for the effort’s first single, “Motives,” can be found below. Morgan commented:
“It felt like the right time to lower the mask and reveal a little bit of NOWHERE2RUN identity as artists. We constructed this project through the lens of a mystery, something very dark and tech noir ish. It feels like an appropriate way to start to tell the story of where we are at and where we have been.”

Eva Under Fire have premiered a new song titled “Awakening.” Singer Amanda Lyberg commented:
“The guys and I are stoked about the upcoming album. These songs are everything we wanted to write. We made sure it was the most honest version of our story. ‘Awakening’ is an anthem about conquering personal demons. The rest of the album is what it took to get there. It’s also a story packaged in the heaviest riffs we’ve ever played so I think listeners will be pleasantly surprised. Cheers to the new era!”

Frontman Jonny Hawkins commented:
“‘We’re In This Together’ sounds like a love song colliding with a war cry. Alan Watts [the British American writer and orator] once said that ‘you are the universe experiencing itself’—and this song embodies that truth. It’s us against the world, and this song is my inner monologue.”
Guitarist Mark Vollelunga added:
“This song is from my favorite Nine Inch Nails’ album, The Fragile, and by far one of my favorite NIN songs. It’s such a beautiful cataclysm. Essentially, it’s a love song, but as I dove deeper, my interpretation shifted to it being about my relationship to my personal demons and mental trauma. It’s about making peace with those monsters and accepting who and what they are while realizing they will always be a part of me. It took a long time to achieve that cathartic clarity in regard to the very real nature of that evil’s presence. We actually started recording the song 11 years ago, and it’s just been lying in wait until recently. I was upset we hadn’t released it earlier, but I now believe its relevance and timing couldn’t be more immaculate.”
Original KISS members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss have paid tribute to their late bandmate Ace Frehley. As previously reported, the legendary musician died after suffering a head injury during a recent fall.
The band said the following:
“We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley. He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of KISS’ legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.”
Stanley, Simmons, and Criss also shared individual tributes:
Stanley:
“I remember 1974 being in my room at the Hyatt on Sunset in LA and I heard someone playing deep and fiery guitar in the room next door. I thought “Boy, I wish THAT guy was in the band!” I looked over the balcony… He was. It was Ace. This is my favorite photo of us…”
Simmons:
“Our hearts are broken. Ace has passed on. No one can touch Ace’s legacy. I know he loved the fans. He told me many times. Sadder still, Ace didn’t live long enough to be honored at the Kennedy Ctr Honors event in Dec. Ace was the eternal rock soldier. Long may his legacy live on!”
Criss:
“With a broken heart and deep, deep sadness, my brother Ace Frehley has passed away. He died peacefully with his family around him. My wife and I were with him to the end as well.
I love you, my brother. My love and prayers go out to Jeanette, Monique, Charlie and Nancy and all of Ace’s extended family, bandmates, fans and friends. May the Lord comfort you at this difficult time.
As a founding member of the rock group KISS and in Ace’s solo career, Ace influenced and touch the hearts of millions of people. His legacy will live on in the music industry and in the hearts of the KISS Army.
At this time I ask all of you to please be respectful to Ace’s family and allow them to grieve privately.

Thursday have taken to social media to call out Spotify for their ICE recruitment ads. The band said the following:
“Thursday is an independent band and we join the wider independent musical community in calling upon Spotify to remove any and all ICE recruitment advertising from its platform. A single voice is tiny but collective action is mighty, so please join us in publicly asking Spotify to remove all ICE advertising immediately. Write these words back down.”
Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has sadly passed away at the age of 74. His death comes after he was injured in a fall.
According to TMZ, Frehley was recently placed on life support due to a brain bleed related to a fall in his studio. Unfortunately, he was showing no signs of improvement during his hospital stay and his family had to make the decision to take him off his ventilator.
Frehley’s family told Variety the following:
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace’s memory will continue to live on forever!”
This news comes after Frehley cancelled his remaining 2025 dates “due to some ongoing medical issues.”
