  • Slaughter To Prevail Vocalist Alex Terrible: “I Want To Take A Long Break For 2027 And 2028 “

Slaughter To Prevail’s Alex Terrible has revealed that he is planning to “take a long break for 2027 and 2028.” As such, fans hoping to catch the band live should do so in 2026.

    Terrible said the following:

“I want to take a long break for 2027 and 2028 to write music and spend more time with my son and my wife. But in 2026, we want to start the year with a European tour, which we’ve already announced — and it is selling really well. I think this will be our biggest European tour yet. We’ll most likely add Kazakhstan too.

Right after that, in spring, we want to do a North American tour, then return to European festivals in the summer. In autumn, we plan to tour Asia — Japan, China, possibly Indonesia, and maybe even Australia. And to close out the year, in winter, we’ll head to South America and finish 2026 with a big show in Mexico!

To our dear listeners and fans: if you want to see and hear us live, 2026 will be the best time. Thank you all so much for your understanding and support. We’ll be announcing everything very soon. Europe is already on sale!”

  • Nirvana Score New Victory In “Nevermind” Baby Lawsuit

According Billboard, Nirvana have scored another victory in the “child pornography” lawsuit that was filed against them by Spencer Elden, the man who appeared on the cover of “Nevermind” as a baby. This news comes after the case was previously appealed in 2023.

The suit initially claimed that Nirvana “intentionally commercially marketed the child pornography depicting Spencer and leveraged the lascivious nature of his image to promote the ‘Nevermind’ album, the band, and Nirvana’s music, while earning, at a minimum, tens of millions of dollars in the aggregate.” Elden also claimed he suffered “lifelong damages” as a result.

However, Judge Fernando Olguin has since ruled that the cover does not meet the criteria for “child pornography.” He said the following about that:

“Neither the pose, focal point, setting, nor overall context suggest the album cover features sexually explicit conduct.”

Olguin also referenced instances in which Elden recreated the album cover in 2016, got a “Nevermind” tattoo on his chest, etc. He continued:

“Plaintiff has, for many years, embraced and financially benefited from being featured on the album cover. Plaintiff’s actions relating to the album over time are difficult to square with his contentions that the album cover constitutes child pornography and that he sustained serious damages as a result.”

Nirvana’s attorney Bert H. Deixler commented:

“We are delighted that the court has ended this meritless case and freed our creative clients of the stigma of false allegations.”

  • Show Me The Body Share Video For Cover Of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage”

Show Me The Body have joined forces with Popular Front to create an official music video for their cover of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage.” You can check that out below:

    Vocalist Julian Cashwan Pratt commented:

“I support and consume independent journalism in general, but full disclosure, I am a straight up a fan of Popular Front. Their crew does hard work to tell true stories, or as they put it ‘honest reporting.’ To work together on ‘Sabotage‘ is a self-fulfilling prophecy. New York band with a New York song reaching out to the world at war with a message of love and solidarity.”

In other news, the band will be releasing a 10th anniversary vinyl pressing of “Body War” on October 17. Pre-orders can be found HERE. The reissue will also be available during a “Body War” 10th anniversary show at 99 Scott in Brooklyn, NY on October 17.
