  • Matt Byrne Offers Update On New Hatebreed Album: “It’s About 90 Percent, 85 Percent Done”

During a recent interview with 107.7 The Bone, Hatebreed’s Matt Byrne offered an update on the band’s new album. According to him, “it’s about 90 percent, 85 percent done.”

    Byrne said the following:

“We just released a single [‘Make The Demons Obey’] over the summer. We have a new record that’ll be coming out next year — not sure when, but it’s about 90 percent, 85 percent done. [We’re] still tweaking some stuff, but next year’s our target [release].

We released a single, ‘Make The Demons Obey’. We’ve been playing it live. We’re playing it tonight. It’s very fast. It’s heavy. It’s HATEBREED. It has HATEBREED all over it. So, it’s a lot of fun to play.

It’s always fun playing the new stuff. We’ve been playing ‘I Will Be Heard’ since 2002, so as much as you love that song, it’s fun to play newer stuff.”

  • Kid Rock Calls On Pearl Jam To Get Involved In The FTC’s Lawsuit Against Live Nation & Ticketmaster

Late last year, Kid Rock started working with U.S. President Donald Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi to address the issue of ticket sales for concerts. He later visited the Oval Office to watch Trump sign an executive order focusing on scalping and price gouging. The investigation into the issue resulted in the FTC filing a lawsuit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster for “deceptive pricing tactics.” Now, Rock has commented on the legal move, while also calling on Pearl Jam to get involved despite their political differences.

    Rock said the following:

“So there was some of the people in the business talking about ticketing, that when Trump — President Trump — did that executive order with me in the Oval Office, that these, know-it-alls out in California we’re like, ‘Oh, they’re just showboating. It really did nothing.’

What he did was he ordered the FTC & the Department of Justice to go investigate and see what the hell is going on with ticketing Well, guess what? They investigated and what happened? They filed a f*cking lawsuit against Ticketmaster, because clearly they found out that those motherf*ckers are crooks, and they’ve been crooks for decades. F*cking over the public. F*cking over artists.

Now somehow, flip this phone around. Somehow, I got one of these world orbs, and that proves you’re a human. Comes with an app —World app, — you download it, proof of human, proof of humanity. This thing would cut the bots out, cut the scalpers out immediately. Somehow, I got one in my f*cking house. But the ticketing companies can’t figure this out. You know why? Because every time… if you buy a ticket and go to a concert, you are their worst customer.

They want that ticket to resell on their own platform so they can f*ck everybody twice. They get the service charges. They get another whatever, 17% or something, on top all the other horse sh*t they’re dicking you around with. So like I said from the beginning, I don’t know if breaking Ticketmaster up solves the problem. I’m not sure if this, if this orb solves it, but it’s a step in the right direction.

I know this, none of the ticketing companies, are using it. Somehow I got one in my f*cking house, but they can’t figure it out. They’re full of sh*t. They could have stopped the bots years ago. They could have fixed this f*cking problem, and they haven’t, because they’re greedy f*cks.

So I hope they’ll all go down personally, right to the f*cking bottom. F*ck them. And I hope we can figure out ticketing so us as artists, when we set a price we can get the tickets into the hands of the fans at the prices we set. And I know that’s not really the… I’m a capitalist to the bone, and there’s some questions there. But these bad actors and all the ticketing companies — not even scalpers, brokers, whatever you want to call them — they’ve hid behind the disguise of capitalism for years. F*ck them.

This is one that we need some regulations on, either a price cap, I’d say 10%, you can’t resell a ticket for 10% or 10-15% like they do in some European countries, or use this proof of human thing, whatever it takes. I shouldn’t be the one to figure it out. These motherfc*kers should, but they haven’t. They’ve raped us for f*cking years. F*ck them. I hope they all go down.

But really what hope for is we can fix ticketing for the fans. And by the way, they’ve been f*cking the artist too, but I’m kind of second in that equation. I want the fans to be able to go to a show at the prices I set for my tickets, and most artists do.

We’ll see if any other artists get onboard, by the way, with this lawsuit and their management, if they want to talk and tell them about the bullsh*t that’s going on for decades. A lot of them will puss out, straight up pussies, all these outlaw country singers. There’ll be a bunch of f*cking pussies when they should speak up for their fans.

Let’s see if Pearl Jam steps up. They wanted to fix ticketing years ago. They probably won’t, because they’ll be like, ‘Oh, we hate Donald Trump. We have Trump derangement syndrome.’ All these other presidents could have f*cking done something. Bush, Obama, Clinton, they didn’t do sh*t. Nobody has. Trump did. Trump is, we are. So, calling your bluffs right now, let’s see what happens. Rock on.”

  • As I Lay Dying Premiere “Echoes” Music Video

As I Lay Dying have premiered a new video for their new song “Echoes.” The track is the first to feature the band’s new lineup, which consists of frontman Tim Lambesis bassist/vocalist Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within), guitarist Bill Hudson (NorthTale, Tommy Vext), guitarist Don Vedda, and drummer Tim Yeung (Tommy Vext, ex-Divine Heresy).

    Lambesis commented:

“As the only primary songwriter on every AILD album, I’m always going to a find a path forward for this catalog of music that I’m so passionate about. But sometimes things come together even better than expected. I’m incredibly grateful for my new bandmates. In addition to being incredibly talented, they genuinely care about my well being and the band we are now all a part of.”

    Hudson continued:

“Tim L and I first met almost 20 years ago and I’ve been in multiple bands with Tim Y. It’s an honor to be a part of the new chapter of As I Lay Dying. What a great way to get together and play with so many friends of 15+ years at the same time!”

    Clancy added:

“Excited to finally share this new chapter. Check out the music video for ‘Echoes,’ proud of what we’ve created together. Hope you enjoy it.”

As previously reported, As I Lay Dying’s latest mass exodus occurred in 2024, leaving Lambesis as the sole member. “It’s super-fast, and it definitely nods to our mathcore influences. We wanted to make an extremely heavy song. Lyrically, it’s about being really sick. One time when we played a gig in Nottingham, I was very sick because I drank loads. I was so sick I thought I was possessed when I was falling asleep. I was rolling around, and I decided to make up a story about it.”
