• Eidola Sign With Periphery’s 3DOT Recordings

Eidola have signed a new deal with Periphery’s 3DOT Recordings. This news follows the announcement of the band’s North American tour with NERV and Astronoid.

    Eidola’s Andrew Wells commented:

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Eidola has signed with 3DOT Recordings to usher in the most refined, fearless, and forward-thinking era of the band to date. We’ve never felt more aligned with a new team, as 3DOT is filled with passionate, like-minded, boundary-pushing creatives who share our uncompromising vision for the future. We also want to thank Blue Swan & Rise Records for an incredible decade of growth and success, and with this new 3DOT partnership we are eager to explore what the band is truly capable of.”

    Periphery’s Misha Mansoor added:

“When we started 3DOT our goal was to work with bands whose talent, vision, and creativity we respect and appreciate. To say we respect Eidola would be an understatement. We got to see just how great they are when we toured with them in 2024, and when the chance arose for us to sign them to the label, we jumped at it immediately. This is a huge signing for 3DOT and we’re flattered they are giving us the opportunity to bring their new songs to the world.”

  • Josh Travis Addresses His Absence From The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza’s Reunion Shows

During a recent appearance on The Totally Legitimate Business Podcast, guitarist Josh Travis explained his absence from The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza’s recent reunion shows. According to him, he was unable to take part in the performances due to scheduling conflicts.

    Travis said the following:

“What is my current status? Well, I would say over the last two months, I guess I have learned that we have a new guitar player [Eric Berngruber]. This guitar player will basically be handling anything that I do, or have done, anytime I’m not there. And I’ve also been hearing things like, maybe we just have three guitar players? So I’ve been kind of waiting to see what’s the… is my role here again? I’ve been kind of waiting to see, I don’t know if I’m gonna have to be a second drummer. Like I don’t know what’s going on yet, but one thing I do know is I don’t have to do vocals and I don’t have to play bass. I do know that for sure. So what is my status?

Well, I will definitely be here. It’s just little harder because I do still play guitar and Emmure, and I also work for A Day To Remember. [With] A Day To Remember my schedule is like typically set out pretty far in advance. So I’ve been trying to balance just the these two, you know, between Emmure and A Day To Remember, and that’s like, hard enough as it is. So then when Danza‘s stuff started coming into it, it was kind of like, ‘I’m probably gonna go jump into a river or a lake or something’, and then, you know, like, we’ll just see what happens from there. But so we were lucky enough to be able to get Eric in here, who doesn’t know how to play any of the songs properly.

But, he went in and he taught Layne [Meylain, guitarist] how to play all of the songs improperly. So, um, we got they got that going for us. Everything is wrong. We got that going for us. Um, also, same thing with Emmure I have a fill-in over there, his name’s Chris [Dombrowski, of Sentinels.] He’s been handling everything over there. But so now, we’re just kind of at this point where it’s like, okay, all of this stuff is slowing down. This is all slowing down. And now this is the first time I have laid eyes on Eric since… 2012…”
