• Einherjer Premiere “Dei Så Ser” Video

Einherjer have premiered a new video for their new song “Dei Så Ser.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Lifeblood,” which will be released on June 19. Frode Glesnes commented:

“The song is about the connection between the living and those who came before us, and how that connection is carried by the land itself. The burial mounds are not just remnants of the past — they are watchful presences. Standing on the mound, facing the strait, the narrator feels that boundary between worlds. The water becomes more than a landscape — it is a passage between past and present, life and death. The voices of those who once lived and sailed these shores are still there, not as echoes, but as something alive.”

  • Gradience Premiere “Deathwish” Video

Gradience have premiered a new video for their new song “Deathwish.” You can check that out below:

    Guitarist/vocalist Jakob Lærke Harris commented:

“‘Deathwish‘ is our homage to the MySpace-era songs from bands we grew up listening to like Killswitch Engage, Job For A Cowboy, and The Black Dahlia Murder but with our signature rap and melodic twist. We wanted to create a song with a lot of forward momentum that gets the circle pit going.”

He also added the following about mixing genres:

“It just feels completely natural for us to mix everything. We’re really up for whatever label people want to put on us. We’ve actually found it difficult for ourselves to narrow it down but we like to think of ourselves as just being a metal band. We’ve used the description ‘blackened rap metal’ just to catch people’s attention.

But to me, rap is just a tool we use to convey an emotion or feel, just like we use screams and melody. We’ve found different styles of rap and singing that suit Gavin really well, and when we’re writing vocals for a song, we’re only thinking about what would be the best fit with the energy and vibe. For us, there needs to be an emotional connection in order for heavy music to resonate with the listener on a deeper level.”

  • Ola Englund Comments On Similarities Between His “The Sun & The Moon” Riff And Evanescence’s “Who Will You Follow” Riff

The Haunted’s Ola Englund has shared a video to address the similarities between the riff on his song “The Sun & The Moon” and the riff on Evanescence’s “Who Will You Follow.” You can check that out below. The tracks do feature similar tempos and traits, but the guitarist feels the riff is too generic to accuse the band of plagiarism. He said the following in part:

“No, I don’t think that Evanescence stole my riff, but that’s cute though. Thank you so much for caring about me. I appreciate that. It’s basically every metal riff right there.”

  • Pearl Jam Have A New Drummer But Have Yet To Reveal Their Identity

Pearl Jam have officially found a replacement for former drummer Matt Cameron. However, their identity will remain a secret until this year’s Ohana Festival in September. Guitarist Stone Gossard said the following on SiriusXM‘s Pearl Jam channel:

“I love the mystery of it all. It’s so exciting. There’s not enough mystery in the world. I think the band is very excited that we’re actually getting to play. It’s been a while and the fact that we get to do it at ‘Ohana‘ makes it even doubly exciting. And the fact that nobody knows who’s going to play drums with us even makes it triply exciting. So, it’s our mystery wrapped in an enigma and we’re relishing in it right now.”

  • GoFundMe Launched To Cover Final Expenses Of Frozen Soul Singer Chad Green’s Late Father

Tony Green, the father of Frozen Soul singer Chad Green, has sadly passed away. You can assist with final expenses by donating via GoFundMe.

    Chad Green commented:

“I lost my dad a few days ago. He’s the second family member I’ve lost while on the road. I know this is where I should be and how proud they both were of me, but even knowing that, I can’t help but feel this overwhelming guilt and sadness about the time I’ve taken for granted.

Early in my life I hated my dad for so many stupid reasons, but I was a kid that didn’t understand how messed up and unforgiving life could be yet. Now I sit here thinking about just how crazy life is. I have this regret in my gut thinking about how every night on the road I talk about how short life is and how we need to take care of ourselves and the people we love, even if it’s just a call or text, and I still let it slip through my fingers again.

The truth is, in later years my dad never stopped calling or messaging me. He never wanted to push anything on us, he just wanted to check in and see if we needed anything. He would give anyone the shirt off his back just like Cory man. He just wanted to be the dad he couldn’t be when my brothers and I were younger.

I want to honor my dad for the man he became and the man he always was inside, the man I wish I didn’t take for granted my whole life.

We are navigating this the best we can, but financially things have been extremely tough, for fucks sake we can’t even afford to miss these last shows so I can fly home.

There’s a GoFundMe in my bio to help with the expenses from my dad’s passing if anyone would like to help. If not, I completely understand. Please remember it’s never too late to bury the hatchet. Life’s too short. Call your friends and family, one day you’ll really regret it if you don’t.”

  • Jury Discharged In Ian Watkins (Ex-Lostprophets) Murder Trial

The trial for the murder of convicted pedophile Ian Watkins (ex-Lostprophets) has now been delayed. According to BBC, the jury was discharged and the case will be re-tried on February 8, 2027.

Two inmates, 25-year-old Rashid Gedel and 43-year-old Samuel Dodsworth, were charged with murdering Watkins at HMP Wakefield prison. The musician was serving a 29-year sentence with an additional six years on licence for 13 counts of child sex offences

Gedel, a convicted murderer, was said to have stabbed Watkins three times in the head and neck before handing the weapon to Dodsworth, a convicted rapist, who was in charge of disposal. However, both men have denied this assessment.

Despite the evidence, the jury has since been discharged for supposed “legal reasons.” Justice Hilliard said the following in Leeds Crown Court:

“Very reluctantly, I’m going to discharge you and the case will have to be re-tried. That’s disappointing for you and for everyone.”

  • Ozzy Osbourne’s A.I. Avatar To Appear In Proto Luma Units

As previously reported, the family of the late Ozzy Osbourne recently licensed his likeness for a new A.I. avatar created by HYPERREAL. Now, during a recent interview with Blabbermouth, the company’s CEO Remington Scott revealed that the digitized frontman will be displayed through Proto Luma “holoportation” devices in the U.K. and U.S. this summer.

    Scott said the following:

“Every element of this avatar was built exclusively from authenticated, approved source material: curated, consented, and controlled by the people who love him most. This is a living performance, not a rendering; and it draws from nothing that wasn’t given willingly. We have the enthusiastic participation of Ozzy‘s family, and that changes everything about what this can be.”

Proto Hologram founder David Nussbaum added:

“It’s an honor to be trusted to bring one of true gods of rock back to the world to continue to connect with fans — thank you, Sharon and Jack! We wouldn’t do it if we didn’t know both of our company’s technologies will create an experience that truly extends Ozzy’s presence, his heart and soul, into the future.”

    Sharon Osbourne also commented:

“The things that you can do with that are just endless.”
