• Love Rarely Premiere “Will” Video

Love Rarely have premiered a new video for their new song “Will.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Pain Travels,” which will be released on April 10. Guitarist Dan Dewsnap commented on the record:

“‘Pain Travels’ takes you on a journey of attempting to cope with life when you might not have been dealt the best hand. It ended up being a deeper and darker record than we initially thought it would be, but that speaks to the authenticity on show. There’s a lot of positivity too. We’re basically saying things have been tough, but it’s going to be okay.”

  • Kid Rock Faces Backlash For Past Lyrics About Underage Girls

Kid Rock is facing backlash related to his 2001 song “Cool, Daddy Cool.“ The track, which appeared on the soundtrack for “Osmosis Jones,” resurfaced due to its gross references to underage girls.

The offending lyrics said the following:

“On my cell phone, I’m paid, G, can’t call me, just page me
Young ladies, young ladies, I like ’em underage, see
Some say that’s statutory, but I say it’s mandatory”

Despite the controversy, Rock is still scheduled to perform during Turning Point USA’s “All-American American Halftime Show” on February 8. The event, which also features Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, was put together for right-wingers angry about Bad Bunny and Green Day’s upcoming Super Bowl performances in Santa Clara, CA.

However, Rock’s lyrics are seen as hypocritical considering Turning Point billed their show as an “American faith, family and freedom” event. Critics also pointed towards the singer’s support of United States president and convicted felon Donald Trump, who was accused of pedophila and more horrifying acts in the recently released Epstein files.

Rock has yet to address the controversy, but he did announce a new tour in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Here’s the dates:

With Brantley Gilbert and Them Dirty Roses:

05/01 Dallas, TX – Dos Equis Pavilion

05/09 Charlotte, NC – Truliant Amphitheater

    With Parker McCollum:

05/15 St. Louis, MO – Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre
05/16 Tinley Park, IL – Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre

06/05 Holmdel, NJ – PNC Bank Arts Center
06/06 Mansfield, MA – Xfinity Center
06/19 Noblesville, IN – Ruoff Music Center
06/20 Burgettstown, PA – The Pavilion at Star Lake

  • Levels Share “Fume”/”Death Dance” Music Video

Levels have shared a video for their new songs “Fume” and “Death Dance.” This track is from the band’s new album, “This Will Make You Feel Again,” which will be released on April 10.

    The group commented on “Fume”:

“The song explores the emotional weight of a relationship pushed to its limits by burnout, miscommunication, and constant internal struggle. Through vivid imagery, it captures the tension between a love that’s inevitably turning cold and the desire to try and reignite it. It is a plea for connection, an honest reflection on trying to break through emotional distance and offer refuge before everything is burned.”

They also commented on “Death Dance”

“[It’s] about obsession — when one person becomes home, poison, and salvation all at once. It’s that feeling where leaving seems impossible, but staying slowly kills you. It’s caught between survival and surrender, and the song feeds from that space.”

Vocalist Kolby Carignan also discussed the album:

“For us, the main priority is to make you feel something. If you come to a Levels show or listen to a record, you should leave fully nourished. We don’t create songs; we create experiences.”

    The band added:

“As creativity becomes shackled to algorithms and artificial intelligence, ‘TWMYFA’ subverts the standard and unapologetically delivers emotionally charged experiences grounded in reality and rhythm. Through its pulverizing riffs, electric energy, and hypnotic melodies, this release extensively explores elements of the modern human struggle—such as maintaining a sense of identity, reconciling religion with reality, and adapting in the wake of the unimaginable. From the void of collateral content, this album reaches out to offer you an escape: To feel.”

  • King Ultramega Share Cover Of Chris Cornell’s “Preaching The End Of The World”

Mark Menghi (Metal Allegiance), Ian Thornley (Big Wreck), Pete Thorn (Chris Cornell, Don Henley, etc.), Dave Kerzner (Sound Of Contact), Kenny Aronoff (Sammy Hahar, etc.), and Frank Mitaritonna have released a cover of “Preaching The End Of The World” as part of the Chris Cornell tribute project King Ultramega. You can check that out below. Proceeds from the track will be donated to MusiCares.

    The contributors commented:

    Thornley:

“Pete Thorn is a dear friend and fellow Canadian who I know played with Chris Cornell for many years. He’s a great musician, and we’re always looking for projects to do together, so it was a quick ‘yes’ from me.”

    Aronoff:

“I wanted to be part of this project because I know Mark was involved, and I’ve always been a huge fan of anything Chris Cornell on so many levels. ‘Preaching The End Of The World’ is an amazingly beautiful song, and Chris’s vocal performance is one of the most passionate and emotional vocal performances I have ever heard.”

    Menghi:

“It’s a song about loneliness and searching for connection, something I can relate to. Just listen to the lyrics of this song. Chris is authentic, emotional, and vulnerable.

When I chose this song for King Ultramega, I had a late 60s Beatles production vibe in mind. I tried to honor what made Chris’s original recording so special, not only instrumentally but in the production as well.”

    Thorn:

“‘Preaching The End Of The World’ is a beautiful song that I always enjoyed performing with Chris during my time on tour with him. I remember a show in Tel Aviv where he talked about writing it during a dark time, but ended by saying, ‘but I made it!’ I always think about that in a positive way. He made it for a long time, and we should all be thankful for that.”

  • Pete Sandoval (Ex-Morbid Angel, Etc.): “I’ve Finally Been Properly Diagnosed As Autistic”

Pete Sandoval (Terrorizer, ex-Morbid Angel, etc.) has revealed that he has been diagnosed with autism. The drummer says the discovery has “allowed [him] to better understand [himself] instead of fighting it.”

    Sandoval said the following:

“After many years of confusion and misdiagnosis, I’ve finally been properly diagnosed as autistic (Level 1) ADOS-2 module 4 (and some other tests) . This has been part of who I am since childhood, even though for a long time I didn’t have the words or understanding for it.

Over the years, this has affected how I communicate, how I process sound, and how I interact with people — sometimes in ways that may have seemed confusing, distant, or misunderstood. It was never about not caring, not listening, or not wanting to connect.

Now, at 61 having clarity has brought a lot of peace. It explains so much — and it’s allowed me to better understand myself instead of fighting it.

I’m still here, still playing, still creating, still grateful — after back surgery, after life challenges, and now with a better understanding of my own mind.

If sharing this helps even one person feel less alone or more patient with themselves or others, then it’s worth it.

Thank you for the love and support through the years.”

  • Shinedown Drop Off Kid Rock’s Rock The Country Festival

Shinedown have dropped off Kid Rock’s Rock The Country Festival. The band made the decision after facing backlash for performing alongside right-wing artists like Rock, Jason Aldean, etc. amid political strife brought on by Donald Trump’s administration. Ironically, Shinedown’s cancellation comes shortly after drummer Barry Kerch called rapper Ludacris a “coward” for backing out of the event.

    Shinedown issued the following statement:

“SHINEDOWN is everyone’s band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song.

We have one BOSS, and it is everyone in the audience. Our band’s purpose is to unite, not divide. With that in mind, we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock The Country Festival.

We know this decision will create differences of opinion. But we do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division.

And to our fans, thank you for supporting and believing in us.

We love and appreciate you always.

    All love and respect,

    SHINEDOWN”
