With a heavy heart, we must announce a break from scheduled performances. Our singer, the inimitable Brian Ross, has just learned that he must have a major, life-saving preventative surgery in April/ May 2026. His recovery will take several months.

This sadly means that Satan is forced to postpone all planned concerts for 2026, with the exception of this weeks shows in Spain which will go ahead as planned.

This is not what we wanted, but we trust that you all want Brian to take care of his health, recover fully and come back stronger and more powerful than ever in 2027. Thank you so much for your unwavering love and support!”

  • Skeletal Remains’ Chris Monroy Accused Of Groping Women On 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise

Skeletal Remains vocalist/guitarist Chris Monroy has been accused of sexually assaulting people during the recent 70000 Tons Of Metal Cruise cruise. A number of reports said the musician got drunk and groped multiple women on the boat.

One post said the following [via Reddit]:

“I’d like to give a big sarcastic shout out to the guitar player of Skeletal Remains for being a total drunk piece of shit who was groping women on the boat. Learn some consent before we ass fuck you next time you come around. Fuck you and your band.”

A woman named Maddy Raymond also came forward [via Facebook]:

“Oh and BTW fuck Chris Monroy. He’s a fucking predator and a wasted piece of shit. First hand account. Stop listening to Skeletal Remains period.

EDIT: Much respect to the rest of the djents in the band for kicking Chris’s ass to the curb in Florida after the boat. I’m proud of you guys for standing up with the rest of our metal family. No one threatens our safe space and good times 🤘💚 I love you all”

The person who reported Monroy also shared a statement [via Reddit]:

“Posting here bc privacy versus other social media outlets. I was the one who reported him on the ship. He would not leave me alone after I got off of my volunteer shift and went to the casino bar with one of my best friends. Chris continued to approach me and grab me by the waist on my bare skin. I told him to fuck off multiple times. He would then continue to walk by me and grab me as he was walking by several times.

“I then sat at the bar with my friend, and he grabbed my cigarette out of my hand and my drink, and began to smoke my cigarette and drink my drink and grab me by the waist at the same time. I was telling him to fuck off extremely loud and he simply would not get the point. People sitting next to us started to notice and asked if we needed security and I said yes I told the bartender also to call security and they never showed up. I then decided to take action the next day and reported it to the higher ups of 70 K because I knew action needed to be taken.

“It is really upsetting to then hear that his behavior was happening in other instances on the ship and in previous events. Why no one has come forward before me? I’m not sure but there’s tons of video footage of what happened that entire ship has cameras everywhere. As per the security/police team and the information that they told me when they were reviewing my statement, not to mention, that ship also has 75% audio accompanying that footage so if anyone questions this decision made by 70000Tons Of Metal and their decision believe me that it’s official.”

A number of people claimed Monroy has since been banned from the cruise. However, organizers said the matter was already resolved:

“Our security team was made aware of a situation during the cruise and promptly interviewed all parties involved to defuse the matter. After reviewing the information available at the time, no further action was warranted.

70000TONS OF METAL is a very friendly and inclusive environment, and we take the safety and well-being of our guests, crew, and artists extremely seriously. We also have a clear code of conduct that we hold everyone on board to, including guests and musicians alike.”

  • Alissa White-Gluz (Ex-Arch Enemy) Recruits Guitarists Alyssa Day And Dani Sophia

Alissa White-Gluz (ex-Arch Enemy) has recruited guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia for her solo project. New music is expected to surface soon.

White-Gluz told Germany’s Metal Hammer the following about her departure from Arch Enemy:

“It was definitely difficult but change is always a wild mix of fear and excitement. When you spend that many years with something, it becomes a huge part of your life and identity. So making that announcement wasn’t something I took lightly. I had devoted an enormous amount of my creative energy to the project for more than half of my career.

I really love music and art, I can’t bear to treat it like just another day at the office. That’s why I put so much extra care and intention into every lyric, performance, recording, and visual that I do. I felt a real responsibility to handle the announcement with respect for the fans, for the music, and for myself. Just getting straight to the point felt like the only way to honor my past while also stepping confidently into what comes next.”

She continued when asked about the reactions she received following the announcement:

“The fans’ and industry peers’ responses honestly blew me away. There was so much love, encouragement, and genuine support, more than ever before, and it felt incredibly energizing. What really stood out to me was how strongly people connected to the idea of my growth and evolution. It made me feel deeply grateful and also very motivated. It reinforced that the connection we’ve built is strong, and that it naturally carries forward. That is something I have always been focused on in my career: stepping outside of my comfort zone and outside of the box so that I can have artistic freedom without being typecast. That support gave me a lot of confidence and excitement about the future, because I really do believe that art and artists are meant to evolve.”

She also explained why it was time to go solo:

“The intention was always there, but I never wanted to rush something that personal or force it into the wrong moment. I knew this project needed the right headspace, focus, and creative freedom to really come alive. Now feels right because there’s real momentum. I have clarity, excitement, and the space to fully commit to it, and everything is aligning creatively. I know what I want to express, I know how I want it to sound and feel, and I’m genuinely energized by the process. This album feels like a natural evolution, something I’ve been building toward for a long time, and that makes this moment feel both exciting and right.”

She also added the following about Day and Sophia:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be collaborating with two incredibly talented guitarists: Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia. So far the music we are making together is exactly what I have always wanted. I feel like they both have such unique playing styles that complement each other to make our collaborative work super heavy, energetic, catchy and evocative at the same time. I really couldn’t be happier and more honored to be working alongside such talented and inspiring musicians. Fans will not have to wait long at all to hear and see what we have been up to.”
