Wolvhammer Officially Confirm Jeff Wilson’s Departure

Wolvhammer have officially confirmed the departure of guitarist Jeff Wilson from their lineup. Jarrett Pritchard has been recruited to take his place. The band commented:

“After years of dedication and being a driving force of Wolvhammer Jeff decided it’s time for him to move on to other endeavours and we wish the best for him. Keep and ear out for his projects in the future. That being said, we would like to welcome Jarrett Pritchard of Pulchra Morte and the infamous Eulogy on guitar. You may have seen him with us at Psycho Las Vegas and the shows leading out. He is more than capable and had been a great friend for many years as well as a guest musician and engineer of The Monuments of Ash and Bone. The machine rolls on, slaves to the grime.”

Wolvhammer Return To Social Media, Recruit Guitarist Jarrett Pritchard

After previously deleting their social media accounts and dropping off their tour with Abigail Williams and Ghost Bath, Wolvhammer have returned. The group plan to play some shows leading up to Psycho Las Vegas with Jarrett Pritchard (Pulchra Morte, Eulogy) on guitar. Furthermore, The PRP are reporting that some unconfirmed rumors have circulated saying Pritchard may be replacing Jeff Wilson in the band.

Wolvhammer said the following

“Attention:

Due to personal issues and scheduling conflicts, we unfortunately had to drop off the Abigail Williams & Ghost Bath tour.

We still are heavily anticipating our set at Psycho Las Vegas. We have booked 3 headlining shows in route to the festival.

For this short run of shows we would like to welcome Jarrett Pritchard (Pulchra Morte, Eulogy) on guitar. It is with great pride and pleasure to have him share the stage with us, as along with his pedigree, he also engineered and mixed ‘The Monuments of Ash & Bone’.

With this we begin a new chapter.
Burn everything.

Upcoming Shows:
8/13 @ LiveWire – Chicago, IL
8/14 @ Riot Room – Kansas City, MO
8/15 @ Triple Nickel Tavern – Colorado Springs, CO
8/17 @ Psycho Las Vegas”

Wolvhammer Drop Off Their Tour With Abigail Williams, Delete Social Media Accounts

Wolvhammer will no longer be joining Abigail Williams on their upcoming tour. Wolf King will now take their place. Abigail Williams commented:

“A slight update with our upcoming tour with Ghost Bath. Unfortunately, Wolvhammer had to pull from the tour. We have replaced them with Wolf King. We’re glad to have these guys a part of our headlining tour. Go check them out!”

Oddly, as The PRP pointed out, Wolvhammer have also deleted their Facebook and Instagram accounts, so something is obviously going on with them.

Wolvhammer Premiere New Song “Eternal Rotting Misery”

Wolvhammer have premiered a new song titled “Eternal Rotting Misery.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Monuments Of Ash & Bone,” which will be released on May 4.

The band told Decibel of the following:

“In this band, we try not to plan every little detail. Keeping things fairly spontaneous in the writing/recording process is way more artistic to me than rehearsing every single part for 6 months before going into the studio. That being said, we knew we wanted to work with Jarrett [Pritchard, recording/mixing], we wanted a faster paced record, every vocal line to be as memorable as possible and to sound more like we do as a live band.

I think the album opener is a pretty good outcome of those initial ideas and sums up what this band is all about. No bullshit, no shaking hands, no kissing babies, no politics. Real life, real emotion, real amps, and a real middle finger to what we feel the modern state of metal has become.”

Both of them added extra guitar tracks to it as well.
