Abiotic Premiere New Song “Emerald”

Abiotic have premiered a new song titled “Emerald.” The band said the following about the track:

“‘Emerald‘ is the culmination of nearly three years of thinking Abiotic would never be again. The song is based on the tragic event of one of the band’s closest friends losing his wife, her final day, and what it meant to the ones that loved her most. She is survived by their 10 year old son and 25% of the proceeds will be going to his education, the James Pennington Education Fund. A huge thank you goes out to everyone supporting us and in turn, helping someone a part of the Abiotic family to heal from a tragedy. Experience the pain of loss with us.”

Abiotic Announce Their Return

After a three year hiatus, Abiotic have officially announced their return. The band’s current lineup, vocalist Travis Bartosek, guitarist John Matos, guitarist Matt Mendez, bassist Kilian Duarte (Scale the Summit), and drummer Aaron Stechauner (The Faceless), are currently working on a new album and are planning to hit the road with Cognitive, God of Nothing, and Greylotus this spring.

Matos commented:

“Stepping away for a couple of years wasn’t what we wanted, but it turned into being exactly what we needed. We’ve all been working on music over the last 3 years and have collaborated to put together my favourite record to date! Something for fans of both of our past albums, along with what we have evolved into.”
