3TEETH Release Cover Of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks”

3TEETH have released their cover of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.” This track is from the band’s new album “Metawar,“ which will be released on July 5. Alexis Mincolla commented:

“Industrial bands have a long history of subverting popular culture songs. From songs like Revolting Cocks’ version ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ or Laibach’s ‘Sympathy for the Devil“. We’ve just always been a fan of this sort of thing and felt it would be a good time to take an iconic song of the late 2000’s and give it some unexpected 2019 industrial darkness, which in the end seemed all too fitting considering the song is about a school shooter.”

3TEETH Premiere “President X” Music Video

3TEETH have premiered a new video for their new song “President X.” This track is from the band’s new album “Metawar,“ which will be released on July 5.

Alexis Mincolla commented:

“‘President X‘ is about an arbitrary figure head that will continue to be replaced, repositioned and repackaged to maintain an illusion of choice and difference in a system that operates on auto-pilot. As the administration pendulum swings back and forth in our bi-partisan shit show, you basically get a new leader who comes in with the goal of undoing what the last guy did, continuing this cycle of futility.

It’s like one of those TV shows that just keeps going on season after season, walking you in circles by throwing in new hackneyed characters and the same trite notions of conflict but in reality the story has no arc and no resolution and by the time the season finale comes, oh and it will come, you’re going to look back on it go holy fuck I want my money back… and no I’m not talking metaphorical money, I’m talking about your actual tax dollars that funded a hot trash show.

I believe there was a fine scholar by the name of Frank Zappa who once said ‘Government is the Entertainment division of the military-industrial complex.’”

3TEETH Premiere “American Landfill” Music Video

3TEETH have premiered a new video for their song “American Landfill.” This track is from the band’s new album “Metawar,“ which will be released on July 5.

Alexis Mincolla commented:

“The director, Matthew Charles Santoro, has been my best friend since 4th grade, so it was really cool to finally be able to work on something together. We wanted to make an homage to the ‘90s action movies we grew up on but we also wanted to make an allegory that touched on today’s concepts of surveillance, cyberspace, and exploring the relationship between reality and simulation.

To me the landfill represents a giant sentient data dump who’s algorithmic understanding is just trapping you in the echo chamber of your very own inescapable memetic conception camp. It doesn’t matter if it’s cyberspace or reality, no one escapes the ‘American Landfill.’”
