Sevendust’s Morgan Rose Offers New Health Update

As previously reported, Sevendust were forced to drop off their UK tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown after Morgan Rose was hospitalized for an unknown illness. Now, the drummer has offered a new health update saying that he thinks he is officially “out of the woods.”

Rose said the following:

“Hey guys. So I’m not gonna get into what the last week has been like too much. I hope everyone will understand. I will say I’m lucky to be here, and that the people that worked round the clock with me are the reason for that. I feel confident saying that I’m out of the woods?

I will have another surgery sometime in the next few months, but it looks like the reason for me ending up in the hospital in the first place has been handled for the most part. I will forever be grateful to everyone for keeping me in their thoughts, and wishing me well during this ordeal. Having never been through anything like this, it was shocking to me how many people cared about me.

My family and very close friends have been updated and understand what actually happened. Please appreciate their privacy. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. I’m hoping to get home very soon, and start getting back on my feet. I asked the doctors if I’d be okay to play the end of the year shows, and they looked at me like I was crazy. But I’m determined to finish out the year with my brothers. So that’s that. At least barring any setbacks.

Not sure what capacity I’ll be involved? But I’m saying I’ll be there. Many people sent birthday wishes to me on the day I was being wheeled in for surgery saying how much of a bummer it must have been to spend my birthday like that. I will say that it was probably the best birthday I’ve ever had. I was alive. And that wasn’t so certain before that day.

So you guys have a wonderful Xmas, and know that my heart was full over the love you sent my way. I’ll will NEVER be able to thank you enough. God bless every one of you. ❤️🙏🏻❤️.”

Sevendust’s Morgan Rose Comments On His Condition From The Hospital

As previously reported, Sevendust were forced to drop off their UK tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown after Morgan Rose was admitted to the hospital for an unknown illness. Now, the drummer has issued his own statement on the situation via Instagram:

“Hey guys. So sorry for the delay in making a statement myself. Been a rough few days. First of all, thank you so much for all the thoughts and prayers. I’m humbled by all the attention. A little uncomfortable to be be honest. Lol. I’ll be on my way into surgery any minute. Honestly I’m a little scared, but I’m ready to figure out what’s wrong. Hopefully this will give us some answers. I’m sure I’ll be out of commission for awhile after this. But someone will pass along some updates, without me knowing they’re doing it😉. I love you guys so very much. (Excuse the dramatic hospital bed selfie🤦‍♂️). God bless everyone. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️”

Sevendust have revealed that their drummer Morgan Rose is currently sick in the hospital. As a result, the band have been forced to drop off their UK tour with Shinedown and Alter Bridge.

Sevendust commented:

“U.K. Family –

It is with a heavy heart we have to say that we will not be able to join our brothers in Alter Bridge & Shinedown on the upcoming U.K. tour dates on the #WalkTheSkyTour.

Morgan is sick, in the hospital and under Doctor orders not to move or leave the country.

We WILL make it up to you all!

See you guys at the Acoustic Xmas shows.

Best,
7D”

UPDATE: Trevor Omar, who works for Rose’s Alien Freak Wear clothing line, also commented on his condition:

“Hey, everyone. Just wanted to pop on here will quick and post a message. First I want to thank everyone for keeping Morgan in your thoughts and prayers. Believe me it is truly appreciated.

I know everyone would like an update & information as to what is going on, but all I can say for right now is that Morgan is in the hospital & stable. We will hopefully have a more clear idea of what’s next tomorrow. So unfortunately there isn’t many details that I or anyone else can give. Once there are details available to give, it will he passed on in the proper channels. And please do not believe something unless it comes from one of those channels.

All the messages of support have been amazing, but unfortunately I cannot respond to each message. I am sorry. And just speaking for myself, I can only imagine how many messages everyone in 7D & MGT have received also. Please, be aware that it will be really difficult for anyone to respond to messages at this time. And that we all thank you for your love and support or Morgan.

As soon as there is information that is able to be passed on, it will be. Trust me.

Again, Thank You for all your Love & Support.”
