Saint Asonia have shared a fan-made video for their song “Ghost.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Flawed Design.”
Frontman Adam Gontier (ex-Three Days Grace) commented:
“We invited our fans to show us what the song means to them and we wanted to work with them to create the visual to go along with it. I’ve actually never done something like this in the past. It’s been a great process, and the video turned out awesome.”
He also added the following about the song:
“It’s about losing someone in your life — whether it be to death, drugs, sickness. It’s about trying to put the pieces back together after going through something unbearable. Sonically, it’s got a different feel. It’s not just a straightforward song written around a specific riff. It’s probably one of my favorite songs we’ve ever written as a band.”
Saint Asonia (ex-Three Days Grace, Staind, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “This August Day.” This track is from the band’s new album “Flawed Design,” which will be released on October 25.
Adam Gontier commented:
“Two years ago this August, I went through the single most trying time of my life. I had gone to a very, very dark place, and, to be honest, I didn’t know if I would make it back. Not only me, but people who know me and love me didn’t know if I’d ever be back.
After a long and very difficult relapse with alcohol and substance abuse, and with the help of some very close family and loving friends, I found myself at a treatment center in Nashville. Not only that, but I found myself in an emergency room, hanging onto life by a thread.
At that exact moment, on the other side of the continent, my life was changing in the best possible way. My son was being born. Not being physically present the day my son came into this world is something I will look back on and regret for the rest of my life.
Albeit I didn’t have a choice. For me, to be the father, the son, the brother, the husband, and the person I want to be, I had to go through that darkness, to finally live in the light. ‘This August Day‘ is about all of that. It’s about that one day in August that completely changed me — forever.”
Saint Asonia (ex-Three Days Grace, Staind, etc.) have premiered a new video for their song “The Hunted.” This track features Sully Erna (Godsmack) and it will appear on the band’s new album “Flawed Design” (out October 25).
Adam Gontier said the following about the video:
“I’m super excited to share ‘The Hunted‘ video with our fans. We worked with P.R. Brown, who did our ‘Better Place‘ video from the first record, again. He’s also done all of Saint Asonia‘s record artwork and is absolutely brilliant. He’s an amazing photographer and his vision always seems to line up perfectly with ours. ‘The Hunted‘ video sort of has a Little Red Riding Hood vibe to it. But it’s a little more ‘creepy,’ if you will. It’s kind of a straightforward song, and I really wanted the video to be simple and visually intriguing. I think we’ve achieved that.”
He also added the following about the new album:
“The thing about ‘Flawed Design‘ is that it took longer than we expected to make. But in the end, because of that, it turned out to be a really good piece of work. There were so many things happening in my personal life when we started the process in early 2017. I basically took a step back, took care of the things I needed to, and I went through a lot of extremely difficult situations.
I found myself in a bad place. But, when I finally came out on the other side, I focused, we focused, and we made ‘Flawed Design‘. It’s a very real, vulnerable look into the last few years of my life — the good, the bad, and the ugly. I feel confident in saying ‘Flawed Design‘ is, without a doubt, the best body of work/music I’ve ever created. I hope it has the same impact on fans, as it has on me.”

Saint Asonia (ex-Three Days Grace, Staind, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “The Hunted.” This track features Godsmack’s Sully Erna and it will appear on the group’s upcoming album “Flawed Design.”
Adam Gontier commented:
“‘The Hunted’ is a song about struggling to find your place in life. It’s a solid representation of the direction Saint Asonia is headed. I’m excited to share this with the world. And it’s an awesome bonus having Sully from Godsmack guesting on it.”
Mike Mushok continued:
“I’m very excited for everyone to get a taste of what the new Saint Asonia album is going to sound like and I think that having ‘The Hunted’ as our first single is a great representation of where the band is going. It’s also a huge honor to have a longtime friend — Sully Erna, whose musicianship I’ve admired for years — be a guest on this song.”
Gontier also added the following about the album:
“This new album is a giant step forward for us in many ways. Of course, there’s those elements that have always been present in the music, like the heavy riffs and the vulnerability within the lyrics. But there’s also a completely new element that takes things to a different level. Our goal is to raise the bar on every record, so we’re incorporating a lot of different sounds and instruments on this one. For me, this is the best stuff I’ve written since 2005. I guess you’ll have to hear it to judge for yourself.”
