• Death Angel Premiere New Song “Cult Of The Used”

Death Angel have premiered a new song titled “Cult Of The Used.” You can check that out below:

    Guitarist Rob Cavestany commented:

“Our new song ‘Cult Of The Used‘ is a depiction of society under hypnosis, being strategically manipulated and taken advantage of. It urges you to leave the so called reality behind…

Fendie Daywalker did a stellar job illustrating the Cult Leader ~ beckoning his blinded followers who remain in trance by his strangely charismatic facade, enchanted by the vibrant colors, mesmerized by his stare.

We wanted to release this song to coincide with our ‘ACT III’ US Tour which kicks off on November 26th in Denver and concludes with 2 nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 18th and 19th for our 10th Annual ‘Another Death Angel Xmas Show(s).’ We haven’t headlined in the states since 2019 so we wanted to make it extra extra! Of course we’re excited to include ‘Cult Of The Used’ in our setlist when we hit the road this month.”

  • Textures Recruit Charlotte Wessels (Ex-Delain) For New Song “At The Edge Of Winter”

Textures have premiered a new video for their new song “At The Edge Of Winter.” The track, which features Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain), is from the band’s new album, “Genotype,” which will be released on January 23.

    “Genotype” Track Listing:

    01. “Void”
    02. “At The Edge Of Winter”
    03. “Measuring The Heavens”
    04. “Nautical Dusk”
    05. “Vanishing Twin”
    06. “Closer To The Unknown”
    07. “A Seat For The Like-Minded”
    08. “Walls Of The Soul”

    The band commented:

“We’re thrilled to announce that our new album “Genotype” will be released on January 23rd via Kscope and is now available for pre-order! To celebrate, you can now check out our second single, ‘At The Edge of Winter’, featuring the amazing Charlotte Wessels . The music video was once again shot by our very own Remko Tielemans.

‘Genotype’, our first album in nearly 10 years, will be available as digipak CD, coloured LP variants in gatefold or digitally – pre-order your copy now!

Serving as the conceptual counterpart to 2016’s “Phenotype”, “Genotype” is not a continuation but a rebirth. For nearly a decade, fans speculated about its existence, but what arrives now is not a relic of unfinished ideas – it’s something entirely new, written from scratch and once again self-produced. It distils the essence of the band’s DNA into eight new songs, mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus). Lyrically, the album speaks to the unheard – introverts, outsiders, and those navigating internal worlds that often go unseen, standing as an ode to authenticity and resilience.”

  • Tailgunner Premiere “Midnight Blitz” Video

Tailgunner have shared an official video for the title track of their new album “Midnight Blitz.” That effort was produced by legendary guitarist K.K. Downing (ex-Judas Priest) and it will be available on February 6 via Napalm Records.

The band said the following about the single:

“Whilst touring our debut album, we shared stages with members of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Accept — we watched, we learned, and we put it all down on tape. The aim behind ‘Midnight Blitz’ was to craft an all-time album opener, like ‘Aces High’, ‘Painkiller’, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and ‘Hells Bells’. Everyone remembers the first time you hear the opening track on an album that changes everything. The hair stands up on the back of your neck and you know from this moment onwards, nothing will ever be the same. The launch sequence on the next era of Tailgunner has been hit. ‘Masters of the skies, never call it quits. Time to do or die, we are the Midnight Blitz!’”

They also commented on the album:

“Like phantoms of the clouds, the ‘Midnight Blitz’ screams silently through the air. Descending on their prey, a heavy metal militia striking at the speed of sound. Only blood can run! Whilst touring our debut album, we were described by one roadie as ‘The bastard child of Maiden and Priest’ and that became the ethos for our new album ‘Midnight Blitz’. Just like our fore bearers, we are determined to push forward, always crafting our sound and building on what we have, whilst never compromising on what we started with — pure heavy metal! We are not just worshipping at the altar of those who have gone before, but determined to stand upon it and be the heroes for a whole new generation! We played over 100 shows touring our debut album, sharing the stages with some of the most legendary names in metal while paying our dues in blood, sweat, tears and endless nights out on the road. Everything we learned is on display here, packed into 10 tracks in what we feel can be a true, essential Tailgunner album. Produced by none other than the metal guitar god K.K. Downing, working closely with K.K. during this entire process has been the ride of a lifetime and you can hear those touches of a bonafide metal god throughout this album!”

    Downing added:

“Tailgunner is a band we should have seen emerge years ago from the U.K. They personify everything that is heavy metal. They are loud and proud, and totally descended from everyone in metal that has gone before — their energy and rawness, together with their brand of metal, incorporates all of the godfathers and much more. Maiden, Priest, Motörhead, Def Leppard — the list is endless. The band has a youthful freshness and a uniqueness that will no doubt elevate them to being a true metal favorite of the fans.”

    “Midnight Blitz” Track Listing:

    01. “Midnight Blitz”
    02. “Tears In Rain”
    03. “Follow Me In Death”
    04. “Dead Until Dark”
    05. “Barren Lands And Seas Of Red”
    06. “War In Heaven”
    07. “Blood Sacrifice”
    08. “Night Raids”
    09. “Eye Of The Storm”
    10. “Eulogy”

Evergrey have premiered a new video for their new song “Oxygen.” The band said the following about that track:

“We’re thrilled to unleash our new single, ‘Oxygen’. This is Evergrey at our most explosive — almost certainly our heaviest track yet, packed with crushing riffs, vibrant key changes, and soaring melodies that’ll awaken your soul. Lyrically, it embodies the raw, suffocating weight of an inner darkness, yet symbolizes the relentless never-ending war to break free and grasp that fleeting breath of hope. We’ve bled for this one and can’t wait for you to live in its intensity. Because this is us like you’ve never heard before.”

“This tour is our heartfelt thank-you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way — through every song, every era, every high and low. We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production — the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.

As its founding member, I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. The sentiment and spirit of the band will always remain. While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done. Music is still burning strong inside me, and there are new creative horizons ahead. This tour is both a thank-you and the beginning of what’s next.”

    Keyboardist Jonathan Cain continued:

“It’s been an incredible ride. We’ve shared our music with millions and this tour is about gratitude, connection and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”

    Singer Arnel Pineda added:

“I’m honored to be part of this legacy and I’m grateful for having been welcomed with such open arms. Every night on stage has been a dream come true.”
