  • Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor: “I Never Said We Were Intentionally Stopping”

As previously reported, Trent Reznor recently made headlines after suggesting that Nine Inch Nails may stop touring after their current run. However, he has since clarified his comments, claiming he “never said [they] were intentionally stopping.”

Reznor said the following during the band’s March 16 show in Sacramento, CA:

“As some of you may know, this is the last show of the tour. And to be clear, I think I said something the other day that then got misconstrued into something that is not intentionally necessarily true. What I said was, this is the last show of this tour, and we don’t have any shows booked, and we don’t have any plans to book any shows any time in the future so far. That doesn’t mean we may not tour again.

We may tour again. It won’t be next month, it won’t be this year. I never said we were intentionally stopping, and I never meant that. But, to be truthful, we didn’t tour for a while before this tour because, frankly, I didn’t know if we could do it well, and if it still mattered, and if really feel like we had something to say. And the combination of this band, and this crew, and a lot of hard work, and we put on a show that I’m really fucking proud of. I thank you for coming and attending. I appreciate it. It makes us all feel like we have a fucking purpose.

What we’re going to do is work on some new music, and make some new shit. And if we feel inspired, and if we feel we can beat this [show], we’ll see you again. And I hope to see you again, and I hope you come see us if we do.”

  • High Parasite Premiere New Song “Drag Me Under”

High Parasite, the “death pop” project fronted by former My Dying Bride singer Aaron Stainthorpe, have premiered a new song titled “Drag Me Under.” The track was recorded during the “Forever We Burn” sessions and it can be found below. Bassist/vocalist Danny “Tombs” Lambert commented:

“We all loved this song when we recorded it for our first album, but it was a little different to the other tracks, with more of a Rammstein kind of vibe. So we decided to hold it back… until this moment. We’ve already started recording our second studio album. We’re looking to the future, so now ‘Drag Me Under’ makes perfect sense, a glimpse into what’s to come.”

  • Samael Premiere “Hidden Empire” Music Video

Samael have premiered a new video for their new song “Hidden Empire.” You can check that out below. A 12″ maxi single vinyl pressing featuring the new track and “Black Matter Manifesto” will be released on April 24. The group commented:

“Hidden in plain sight, right in front of us, everywhere and at all times. We no longer see what we are used to seeing, it is our reality, a reality to which we willingly submit in order to lead a painless but meaningless existence. Musically, the beginning of the song is somewhat reminiscent of SAMAEL’s classic track ‘My Saviour,’ but it quickly evolves into something more unusual for the band. It is a heavy song with an industrial touch that maintains high tension from start to finish.”

  • Fit For An Autopsy Premiere New Song “The Wretch”

Fit For An Autopsy have premiered a new song titled “The Wretch.” You can check that out below. Guitarist Will Putney had the following to say about the single:

“True to our general nature, ‘The Wretch’ is another relatively pessimistic and grim glimpse into our worldly outlook. In a time where nothing seems to be getting any better at home or abroad, we find there can always be a moment of comfort in the thought of burning it all down. We hope this song is that temporary oasis for you as well. Thank you for listening.”

  • Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Guests On New Kid Bookie Song “Blame”

Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) is featured on a new Kid Bookie song titled “Blame.” You can check out that track below:

    Kid Bookie commented:

“Over the years, facing myself and the reflection that comes with the mirror isn’t always an easy one. Accountability is the removal of ego and pride to see beyond your own nose, to allow yourself the room to grow via ownership of your actions. I’m around some of the best people who practise that in more ways than one. Corey and I have been working with each other for nearly a decade, but I feel this record is a coming of age, even for us. New territory, but a familiar approach to make sure we embolden each other through music. This song is almost a therapy session for me, and not just via my own lyrics, but to how Corey has made me feel by exposing himself so bare in this record, truly an honour to keep pushing the envelope with someone who has just pushed it as far as it can go, but has completely revamped what the envelope fucking is.”

    Taylor added:

“Books is one of my favourite people, not just artists, and every time he comes to me with an opportunity to create with him, I’m always excited because I know I’m going to hear something I’ve never heard before. ‘Blame’ was so good the first time I heard it, I signed on without even knowing what I’d do! I’m proud of the song, and I’m proud of him, and grateful to be involved.”

  • Eric Melvin: “I Never Sued Fat Mike, NOFX Or Served Anyone In The Band Legal Papers”

Earlier this year, NOFX drummer Erik Sandin claimed guitarist Eric Melvin filed a lawsuit against frontman Fat Mike over “financial malfeasance.” However, Melvin has now denied those claims.

    Melvin said the following:

“Hey all! Eric Melvin here …

I’m in Austin now to celebrate our film’s premiere with my bandmates and I want to address something directly before we get to the good stuff and party time.

Things have been said about me that aren’t true and I’ve been quiet long enough. I won’t let one version of events be the only version anymore.

I never sued Fat Mike, NOFX or served anyone in the band legal papers — not at 8AM, not ever.

What actually happened: a letter was sent in the late afternoon of Oct. 7, 2024. Not a lawsuit, not a demand Mike pay me millions of dollars, the words ‘thief’ or ‘illegal’ appear nowhere in it — it was a letter requesting financial records I’d been requesting for years without receiving and asking for certain conduct to stop. As a member of this band and the LLC, that’s my right. It was private.

Now — to what actually matters.

I love being in NOFX. I love my bandmates. I am so proud of what we’ve built together over decades. This weekend we premiere a documentary and while it’s rooted mostly in one person’s perspective, it’s us, for better or worse.

We will all be there but our fans are the most important people in that room.

So let’s shut down the rumor mill, enjoy Fat Mike’s NOFX documentary and party like it’s 1991.

    xo Mel”
