• Mariachi El Bronx Premiere New Song “RIP Romeo”

The Bronx’s mariachi alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx, have premiered a new song titled “RIP Romeo.” That track is from the band’s new album, “Mariachi El Bronx IV,” which will be released on February 13.

    Vocalist Matt Caughthran commented:

“‘RIP Romeo’ started with a melody that wouldn’t leave my head. I brought it to Ray and we knocked out a demo in an hour. We hadn’t written together in years, but we fell right back into rhythm. It came alive when the rest of the band got their hands on it.

It’s a pretty direct song on the surface, but there’s a lot going on underneath. I’ve wanted to write about Romeo for years, but only if it came from a genuine place – not something forced or cliché. This one finally felt true, so I leaned in.”

The deeper layer revealed itself when I couldn’t finish the lyrics. I had most of it written, but key lines were missing. I couldn’t focus – my aunt had recently passed away from cancer, and my family was grieving. That experience ended up shaping the song in ways I hadn’t anticipated. The lines ‘How could this happen to you, it’s cruel and it’s tragic’ and ‘Amor es muerte (love is death)’ are about her – they completed the song for me.”

  • Battle Beast Fan Passes Away After Suffering Heart Attack During The Band’s Bratislava Show

During Battle Beast’s December 1 show at the Majestic Music Club in Bratislava, Slovakia, a fan died after suffering a heart attack. The incident happened only two songs into the band’s performance, which ultimately got cut short.

    Battle Beast said the following:

“Yesterday in Bratislava, we were forced to stop the show due to a severe medical emergency in the audience, which tragically resulted in a person’s death.

We want to thank the local crew and promoter for responding to the situation with professionalism and care.

To everyone who was present, thank you for your patience, respect, and understanding during such a shocking and difficult moment. We share in the grief and heaviness that many of you are feeling.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the person who passed away.

    Love,
    BATTLE BEAST“

    Supporting act Dominum also commented:

“Bratislava, thank you for that amazing show we had together. We truly felt your energy, and we were completely hyped.

Shortly after, during Battle Beast’s set, one person suffered a heart attack. Tragically, the person did not make it, and our thoughts are with the family.

This is a situation we have never been in before, and we find ourselves missing the right words. But what we can say is how deeply moved we were by all of you. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for staying calm, for reacting so quickly, and for trying to help without a second thought.

We are incredibly grateful for the way you stood together in such a difficult moment. Seeing a community care for one another so naturally, so instinctively, reminded us how powerful and meaningful this connection between all of us can be — not just during the music, but beyond it.

Thank you for being there for each other.

Our condolences go out to the family in these tough times.”

  • Blessthefall Remove “Bless The Slice” Shirt Design After Facing Backlash For AI Usage

Blessthefall have removed their “Bless The Slice” shirt from their merch store. The band made the decision after facing backlash for the design, which was created with AI.

    The group commented:

“We’ve seen the concerns about the shirt design and want to address it directly

The artwork came from the assest our director made for the ‘MALLXCORE‘ music video. It was originally just something fun for the video — we never planned to turn it into merch. We only made the shirt because people asked for it.

The design was supposed to be a nod to our first Hot Topic shirt ‘Cat Barf’, and we didn’t realize the new version invovled AI.

Using AI like that is lame and we get why people are frustrated. There was never any intention to cut artists out or be shady

We just didn’t look closely enough at how the design was created and we’ll be pulling it from our online store.

Thanks to everyone who pointed it out. We hear you, and we’ll do better moving forward.”
