Mötley Crüe are set to perform with country-pop singer Carrie Underwood during the season finale of “American Idol.” That show will air on May 11 at 8 p.m. ET via ABC. It will also stream on Disney+ and Hulu the next day. Other artists set to appear include: Shinedown, Clay Aiken, Jason Mraz, Blues Traveler, En Vogue, Nelly, Tori Kelly, and Gin Blossoms.

Craig Reynolds (Stray From The Path) Says His House In Nashville, TN Was Destroyed By A Storm Last Christmas
Craig Reynolds (Stray From The Path) has taken to YouTube to share an update on his personal life. As it turns out, the drummer’s house in Nashville, TN was destroyed by a storm last Christmas.
Reynolds said the following:
“I had high hopes for the beginning of this year to be fully back to vlogging. Had a lot on. And then actually some of the most stressful things of my life happened and it’s pushed it back. But here we are, end of April, and I am officially back. What happened? Well, obviously I’m in Nashville — living in Nashville — that’s been stressful. I did a vlog on that.
As of now, it’s less stressful. But what happened was I went back to see my parents in the UK at Christmas. While I was there, there was an ice storm in Nashville, and that basically took out my house. Completely took it out. [There was a] tree on it… I had 3 days left of the trip seeing my parents. Had to phone someone to come and rescue the cats. There was a tree in the roof. It was leaking and the landlord did nothing. Literally nothing until, well, they did nothing. They’ve still done nothing.
So just been dealing with that and I haven’t really — although that’s good vlogging stuff — I haven’t really sort of wanted to pick up a camera and be like, ‘Hey guys, look how shit everything is.’ So, that happened. So, we had to move. And as of like last week, um, we’ve moved to a different place.
As you can see, it’s a bit better. Uh, didn’t want to move and like get a place that was kind of nice, because expensive. Didn’t know how things were going to go. Got a slightly better place. Pretty cool. It’s more expensive, but we moved. I’m here for a good while, I think. So, it might as well live a little bit more comfortably. So, then that was that.”

GoFundMe Campaign Launched For Producer/Mixer Steve Evetts Following Studio Fire
As previously reported, producer/mixer Steve Evetts recently lost his studio following a massive fire in Belleville, NJ. As such, a GoFundMe campaign has since been launched to help him rebuild.
Further details were shared in a press release:
“Steve Evetts is a legendary record producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Having been a prominent producer in the alternative heavy music scene, he has worked with many Billboard chart-topping artists such as The Cure, The Wonder Years, New Found Glory, Snapcase, Glassjaw, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Misfits, Saves The Day, Senses Fail, Every Time I Die, The Used, and countless others. Evetts has worked on some of the most influential records in modern rock music and is known for capturing the finest performances from the artists he works with.
Tragically, on May 3, 2026, Evetts suffered a devastating loss when his studio burned down — through no fault of his own. In a matter of hours, he lost his creative home, all of his gear, and a career’s worth of memorabilia, plaques, photos, records, and so much more. While insurance will help cover the value of the lost gear, it won’t come close to covering the true cost of rebuilding a new studio space. The expenses of construction, setup, and treatment are significant. More Details Surface On The 2025 Murder Of Ian Watkins (Ex-Lostprophets) Amid Ongoing Trial
Back in October 2025, convicted pedophile Ian Watkins (ex-Lostprophets) died after being stabbed in the neck at HMP Wakefield prison. The disgraced frontman was at the facility serving a 29-year prison sentence with an additional six years on licence for 13 counts of child sex offences. Now, more details on the murder have surfaced amid an ongoing trial.
According to BBC, 25-year-old inmate Rashid Gedel got into Watkins’ cell shortly after it was unlocked for the morning. He then proceeded to stab him three times in the head and neck. He conducted the murder with a home-made knife, which he then gave to 44-year-old inmate Samuel Dodsworth to dispose of. However, both men have denied this assessment.
The attack was over in 20 seconds and Gedel was reportedly “perky” when officers detained him. He also told the police that he harbored jealousy for “nonce prisoners” who “got treated like royalty.” He also expressed disgust for having to share a wing with sex offenders.
Prosecutors labeled the attack as “a joint offence” between the defendants, claiming Dodsworth knew about it beforehand. Tom Storey KC also revealed that Watkins received two notes the day before he was killed. Those letters accused him of getting another prisoner booted from the wing. They also included demands for money and threats of violence.
Gedel was placed in Watkins and Dodsworth’s wing the day before the murder. “Coincidentally” he also received the cell next to Watkins. The next day, when the doors opened, Gedel left his cell, but Watkins stayed inside. The two defendants were then seen talking to each other and another individual before leaving.
Gedel was later seen on the landing outside of Watkins’ cell and was “in all likelihood waiting for a moment when the prison officers on the landing were out of sight”. When he got his chance, he went into Watkins’ cell and emerged 20 seconds later to pass Dodsworth the knife, which he placed in his pocket.
Watkins came out of the cell with blood on the neck of his shirt. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him after the incident, but they were unsuccessful and he was declared dead on the scene.
Storey went on to say that the staff described Gedel’s demeanour as “perky.” He also allegedly told an officer the following: “If I’ve killed him, you could be talking to someone famous.”
Before the prisoners were locked down, Dodsworth was also seen in an alcove with some bins. Upon investigation, officers then found the bloody knife. Despite this, Dodsworth claimed he was not involved and tried to give the knife back to Gedel. He went on to say he only put the knife in a bin after panicking.
As of now, the trial is set to continue.

Venom Inc. Finish Mixing New Mini-Album
During an appearance on Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches, Venom Inc.’s Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan and Curran Murphy offered an update on their new mini-album. According to them, the effort has already been mixed.
Curran said the following:
“We finished mixes on the new VENOM INC., the new mini-LP, a couple of weeks ago. We finally got all that locked in. It’s getting mastered right now.”
Dolan also explained why the band recorded a mini-album instead of a full-length:
“I think we’ve still got a way to go by the time we do the full album. This is kind of an introduction, if you like. There’s a bunch of tracks on there, so it’s kind of a mini-album — six or seven tracks.
We’ve got BLACK LABEL SOCIETY tour and a European tour around that coming up, and I wanted to have some new stuff out, new stuff ready anyway. And I think we kind of lost our window because we didn’t wanna rush it, so it took a little bit longer than I’d hoped for. But we wanted to continue, so we could put some fresh stuff in the set. A couple of the songs are older classic songs that fans wanted to hear that we haven’t played live, in one case. And another one, which was a song from ‘The Waste Lands’ that we put into the set which people loved. And so it’s been re-edited, if you like, and redone our way. And so I wanted to include that. We’ve got a tribute song on there, and we’ve got some new stuff on there. So it seemed to bridge the gap of our identity. I wanted to [release] something to [establish] our identity. We’ve also got a finished product, which is the Kiss FM studio sessions we did in Brazil, in São Paulo, which is now ready to go as well. And then there’ll be the full live album and then the new album. So we just wanted to get material out and just go, ‘This is who the band is. This is our identity.’ It’s VENOM INC., not VENOM, and we wanted to make that distinction. [The Conrad ‘Cronos’ Lant-fronted-fronted] VENOM’s just released their next record, ‘Into Oblivion’ I think it’s called, and that sounds great, so that’s them…. It’s them. It’s Conrad and the boys, and it sounds like them. And they’ve been together 17 years doing their albums, and they’re happy doing that. But I thought it’s time to make the distinction between who we are and who they are, ’cause people go, ‘Oh, that’s not VENOM.’ It’s, like, nobody said it was VENOM.”
