  • Jeff Loomis: “We’re Withholding The Names Of The Members Of The New Nevermore, Simply Because There’s A Lot Of Online Criticism”

During an interview with VegaTrem, Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis talked a bit about the band’s new lineup. He says the band are “withholding the names of the members of the new Nevermore, simply because there’s a lot of online criticism.”

Loomis said the following about the reunion:

“It was something that I’ve been talking with to [drummer] Van Williams for, I would say, three years, about reforming Nevermore.

The whole subject comes up, is it proper to [reform the band] when a singer passes away?, or whatever. I think it is. I think that there were some things that were left unsaid, and I think we had more things to say musically.

It’s unfortunate that Warrel Dane passed away — he was one of my best friends — but I really honestly believe that Van and I and the rest of the new band [will do the music justice], and we are scheduling shows already for 2026.”

He also explained why they have yet to reveal the new members:

“We’re withholding the names of the members of the new Nevermore, simply because there’s a lot of online criticism nowadays about pointing fingers about, ‘Oh, you should have gotten that person or that person.’ We’re just gonna wait until the first show and have an announcement before that, probably sometime in, I would say, March. And we’ll announce the new members. They’re all extremely talented. They know the Nevermore material and are huge fans of the material. We picked people that are excellent musicians. We really spent time [looking for the right people]. And we went through about seven [hundred submissions], and it took a long time [to check everybody out]. And this started basically about a year ago. So Van and I started looking for new musicians about a year ago. And since then we’ve accomplished so much. There are new shows that are being scheduled. We have all these festivals that are coming up for ’26, and I’m also working on writing a new album right now for Nevermore. So a lot of exciting stuff coming up for 2026. We’re just so excited to get back out there and play those songs again that people wanna hear from our earlier albums, and some new stuff, and just kind of a new direction.”

He also commented on the band’s upcoming album:

“It’s gonna be a heavy album. It’s gonna have all the Nevermore qualities you would expect, with heavy aspect. But yeah, we’re just really excited.

With everybody’s input in the band, it’s gonna be really cool. The musicians are absolutely fantastic and are able to play all the stuff perfectly and the singer’s able to sing almost exactly like Warrel. But he’s got a death metal voice, he’s got different [ways] he can use his voice, and we wanna utilize that. So, it’s gonna be cool. But we’ll see what happens.”

He also added the following about leaving Arch Enemy:

“I’ve had a fantastic life up to this point. I spent 10 years in Arch Enemy, and I got to [tour with them around the world], they’re just a fantastic bunch of people and musicians, and I love them. They’re all very close friends. But there was a time that I felt like I needed to kind of do my own thing. And that’s important to me. If you’re feeling something, you’ve gotta go with those feelings. So I had to wave goodbye to Arch Enemy and just kind of go in my own direction. I’m very happy I did because it’s allowing me to kind of focus more on my music and just kind of be my own person. And we’ll see where it leads.”

  • Vitriol Frontman Kyle Rasmussen Set To Return Home Following Successful Crowdfunding Campaign

As previously reported, guitarist Keith Merrow, bassist Brett Leier, and drummer Andy Vincenzetti recently exited Vitriol and abandoned vocalist Kyle Rasmussen at a gas station. The frontman then decided to launch a GoFundMe in an effort to get himself, his girlfriend, and their dog back home. That campaign proved to be a success with $10,869 raised.

    Rasmussen said the following:

“Hello, everyone. Maggie and I have been beyond moved by the response to our GoFundMe. I set our initial goal at 2.5k, hoping to only make it home. After being donated 4x that amount, we will be able to purchase an affordable used car, rather than throwing money away on a cross-country rental. This is beyond helpful, as we are a carless household. We have plenty to keep us safe and comfortable. Any additional donations will be put toward paying off debts from this tour; merch, RV, management, and PR fees. Thank you very, very much. We are out of crisis.

    With deep love and appreciation,

    Ghost, Maggie, and Kyle“

He also commented further in a new video:

“Hello, everyone. Here we are in a beautiful, thriving, Redwood, New York — or Vermont — I suppose, it’s all in the eyes of the beholder. I have good news for anyone who is interested in seeing Maggie, Ghost, and myself, make it home safely. The outpouring of support has been beyond overwhelming. I know that might sound like a tired thing to say, but I don’t know what else to say.

If any of you are wondering why we weren’t just getting a train, or a bus home, you’re looking at it. We have about three weeks worth of merchandise loosely smashed into this Jeep, which is the largest vehicle that Hertz had available for us. I have all my equipment, all of our luggage. With that being said, we, of course, have our dog, which complicates things further.

Massive, massive shout out to Felder’s Convenience. If you’re ever rolling through Redwood, New York on your way to Canada, check out Felder’s Convenience. They got deli, they got pizza, they got gas, they got cigarettes, they got coffee, they got everything you need. He even has an out-of-season ice cream shop, that he was kind enough after witnessing this whole snafu go down — he was kind enough to offer to keep all of our equipment and belongings safely in this building until we were able to come back and retrieve it. So MVP. Relying on the goodwill of people this entire time has been extremely humbling.

That’s about it. We’re about to hit the road. The Maggie Ghost and Kyle tour begins now. We’re about to head to Chicago. And then after that, Denver, to kiss that beautiful Dave Otero on the mouth. I’m coming for you, buddy. Okay, give me more cocaine [mimics sniffing noises.]”

    He also added:

“Ghost, Maggie and Ghost tour begins now. Thankyou to everyone who went above and beyond with their generosity. Maggie and I are perfectly secure and won’t have any issues making our way home. Any extra funds that remain after our journey home will go towards paying off various debts that Vitriol has been saddled with making this tour happen. The future not only looks bright for the three of us, but for Vitriol as well.

You can’t kill what is already dead.

I’m coming to smooch ya, @daveotero”

  • Ex-Dogma Singer Isa Roddy: “Despite My Creative, Vocal, And Conceptual Contributions, I Received No Compensation”

Original Dogma singer Isa Roddy has come forward with her own allegations against the band’s management. According to her, she “received no compensation” for her “creative, vocal, and conceptual contributions.”

    Roddy said the following:

“In the past few weeks, I’ve received numerous messages from fans and inquiries from media outlets asking about my connection with the band Dogma. Out of respect for those who follow my work, I feel this is the right moment to speak clearly and responsibly.

Some already knew, but I was the first vocalist of the project and actively contributed to shaping its early artistic identity. I provided vocal lines, creative ideas, and aesthetic elements that helped define the character Lilith I, recognized by the audience. I believed in the project’s potential and invested my time, dedication, and personal financial resources, without ever receiving any return.

Despite my commitment over two and a half years, certain circumstances did not align with my career expectations. As with many artistic projects, the environment and conditions eventually diverged from my professional vision. For that reason, I decided to step away in mid-2022.

When contractual matters arose, I was informed that the only available document was a session musician agreement, meant solely for live performances. These performances never happened with me. In other words, despite my creative, vocal, and conceptual contributions, I received no compensation, and my audiovisual recordings were later used across multiple materials without my explicit authorization.

Even after my departure in 2022, portions of my voice have continued, and still continue, to appear in live performances and released materials, including:

    • Father I Have Sinned – growls and backing vocals
    • My First Peak – backing vocals and signature vocalizations
    • Forbidden Zone – backing vocals
    • The Dark Messiah backing vocals, screams and final choir
    • Free Yourself screams
    • Pleasure From Pain – screams

Additionally, the mask representing the character continues to be sold based on the shape of my face, which I designed during my direct involvement in developing the project’s visual identity.

I also recorded full vocals for an EP that was never officially released but is still publicly accessible online. The videos for My First Peak and Forbidden Zone containing my full vocal and visual performance, were posted without my authorization, with another voice overlaid in the released versions.

For those who appreciate these vocals, I can say confidently: they belong to me. They are part of my identity and remain with me. That same strength, technique, and versatility will now be fully present in my own project, created with artistic freedom and professional responsibility.

Moving to Germany in 2021 was a turning point. I connected with experienced professionals in the music and creative industry, gained a deeper understanding of my rights, learned about contracts, and recognized the importance of protecting my identity and voice as an artist. This growth confirmed that leaving the project was necessary.

Everything built during Lilith’s early phase reflects my dedication, study, and creative expression. But beyond any character, I am today an artist who wants to show my own face, my own voice, and my own truth, without masks or anonymity.

I am entering a new chapter in my career: more intense and fully aligned with my vision. I want you to be part of this journey with me! Very soon, you’ll discover everything I’ve been creating with dedication and authenticity, and I promise, it will be worth following closely.

    Keep it heavy,

    Isa Roddy”

This news comes after the band’s management quietly replaced singer Grace Jane Pasturini and guitarists Amber Maldonado and Patri Grief. Those musicians recently started working on a new project after accusing management of “manipulation,” “mistreatment,” and more. Other musicians have since come forward as well.
