  • Evanescence, Bilmuri, And Labrinth Celebrate The Game Awards With New Spotify Singles

The Game Awards and Spotify have joined forces to release exclusive singles from Evanescence, Bilmuri, and Labrinth. Evanescence’s contribution is a new Gunship remix of their “Devil May Cry” track “Afterlife.” Bilmuri’s contribution is a new cover of “I Really Want To Stay At Your House” from “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” and Labrinth’s contribution is a new cover of “MARBLE ZONE” from “Sonic The Hedgehog.”

    All three artists commented:

    Evanescence:

“We’ve been looking for an excuse to work with Gunship for too long and couldn’t be more excited about this dark new version of ‘Afterlife.’ Being a part of the ‘Devil May Cry’ series has been an honor and too much fun. See you at The Game Awards!”

    Bilmuri:

“Gaming has always been a huge part of my life, and recording a track based on ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ was a super-cool experience. Some of my strongest memories of music come from the games I play, and I wanted to convey that energy with this Spotify Single.”

    Labrinth:

“’Sonic’ was such a formative part of my gaming upbringing that making a Spotify Single with ‘Sonic’ at the heart was an amazing opportunity. I hope fellow ‘Sonic’ fans check it out, along with the amazing music created by Bilmuri and Evanescence with Gunship.”

  • New Miserable Experience Premiere New Song “The Devil We Know”

New Miserable Experience (Rivers Of Nihil, ex-Revocation, Rosetta, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “The Devil We Know.” That track is from the band’s new album, “Gild The Lily,” which will be released on January 23.

  • Fear Of Domination Premiere “Endgame” Music Video

Fear Of Domination have premiered a new video for their new song “Endgame.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Katharsis,” which will be released on January 9.

    Lasse Raelahti shared:

“‘Endgame‘ was born out of an proggy idea that I had developed back in upper secondary school. The song didn’t really go anywhere back then but the riff stayed with me and I decided to try to give it another go. Something came out that I’m super hyped about and what we achieved with it in the studio just blows my mind.

It’s everything that I hoped for and even more since some things just don’t appear without a particular combination of people. Even to the last synth tracks that came out just before the song was finished, the song just kept on going as a source of new things. For me, this is one of the best tracks on the album in its somewhat tricky but still catchy nature and in its power and fragility all in one.”

  • A.A. Williams Signs With Reigning Phoenix Music, Shares Animated Video For New Song “Just A Shadow”

A.A. Williams has signed a new deal with Reigning Phoenix Music. With this news, the musician has also shared an animated video for her new song “Just A Shadow”:

    Williams commented:

“‘Just A Shadow’ is an ode to the darkness inside. A part of you since you can remember, a cruel friend lurking just outside of view. A presence that you’ve accepted, its familiarity brings cold comfort. You’ve tried to resist it and step into the light, but you’re scared that you’re nothing without the dark.”

    RPM co-founder Gerardo Martinez added:

“A.A. Williams is one of the most compelling voices in contemporary music. She is unafraid to explore vulnerability with a rare poetic depth. We’re honored to welcome her to the RPM family, and ‘Just A Shadow’ is a stunning introduction to what we’ll build together.”

    UADA commented:

“It has been a profound honor to play a central role in assembling this distinctive and richly diverse touring package. The line-up carries deep personal history and influence for me, while also embodying some of the most cherished milestones of my own musical journey.

As someone who has always appreciated the artistry of thoughtfully mixed bills—an approach that feels increasingly rare in today’s landscape—this particular combination is especially meaningful and should deliver a strikingly unique, yet cohesive experience for those in attendance.

Above all, this tour is my gift to the fans: an opportunity to witness a moment that may never come again, to discover extraordinary talents they might not yet know, and to share an evening that I sincerely hope will live on as an unforgettable memory.”

    Mortiis added:

“While creating and uncreating, sometimes composing, and occasionally violently invoking, the music and sounds that are set to be my new album, it is growing increasingly apparent to me, that I am occasionally calling upon some old ghosts of the past.

I can hear (sometimes clearly, other times faintly) some musical echoes from The ‘Smell Of Rain’ days, not to mention new sounds of the blurry, faint, but unmistakably strange, future, that is yet to unfold.

It seems natural to me, to now unearth several of the songs from ‘The Smell Of Rain’ (and other music, of similar dispirit!) as a first step into the bleak dystopian dreamscapes Mortiis appears to be heading into from here on out.

So here I am, clawing through a quarter century old recordings, preparing for 2026.”

  • Bullet For My Valentine To Begin Recording New Album In February

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone Brasil, Bullet For My Valentine vocalist/guitarist Matt Tuck offered a new update on the band’s upcoming album. According to him, the group are planning to start the recording process in February.

    Tuck said the following:

“The album is still in the writing and the pre-production phase. I think January 5th, we’ve got to get back in to finish that, and I think around the 1st of February, we’ve set aside the time to actually track the album for real.

It’s taken us a bit longer than we anticipated, but a lot of things have come up very last minute, but that’s okay. I’ve got my guitar here [at the hotel room during Bullet For My Valentine’s Latin American tour], we’ve got laptops here, we’re cracking on in the hotel and having fun and being creative. Hopefully we’ll have new music out around April, May time; that’s what we’re aiming for.”

    He also added:

“If I had to describe what the album feels like, it’s a cross between the last album [2021’s ‘Bullet For My Valentine’], [2010’s] ‘Fever’ and [2005’s] ‘The Poison’. It really feels like it’s a mash-up of all those really big moments for our band. And it’s not something we’ve tried to do: that’s just how this writing process has been. We’ve just kind of just gone with it. I think genuinely this album is going to appeal to a lot of people. I think it’s got all the right ingredients that people have loved about Bullet For My Valentine. Could it be the most definitive Bullet record yet? Possibly, yeah. We’re excited.”
