Finding out that our last Megadeth record is also our first #1 only further validates my will to go out on top. Thank you to my family, Teemu Mantasaari, James LoMenzo, and Dirk Verbueren, and Chris Rakestraw, all our fans for making this possible, without you Megadeth would not be as successful as we are. I’d also like to thank the people behind the scenes, our management, Danny Nozell, Justis Mustaine, and Steve Ross at CTK, and our label BLKIIBLK/Tradecraft.”

  • Sebastian Bach Wants To Record A Christmas Album

During a recent interview with This Day In Metal, Sebastian Bach expressed interest in recording a Christmas album. He said the following about that:

“At some point in my life, I need to do a Christmas record. I love Christmas music, and I know exactly the kind of Christmas record I would make. It’s not gonna be ‘Jingle Bells’ with electric guitars. It’s gonna be a traditional piano, organ-based record of vocals of songs that I did in the church when I was in Peterborough, Ontario at Anglican Church — All Saints, I think it was called. So that’s what I want. I need to do that at some point.”

  • Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) Reportedly Finishing Up The Vocals For His New Solo Album

It looks like Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) is almost done with his upcoming solo album. According to Jeff Scott Soto (Sons Of Apollo, etc.), the frontman was recently finishing up vocals for the effort.

    Soto said the following:

“How lucky am I? I went to say hello to my dear friend Mistheria who I worked with on his Vivaldi Metal Project and of course is part of Bruce Dickinson’s solo endeavors these days.

Arrived at Dave Grohl’s studio right as Bruce was doing some final vocals to his new album. He finished and came out to chat/hang a little but then asked if I wanted to hear a few of the songs…umm, YEA!!

I must say besides the fact that he is still singing at the top of his game, the songs, performances, and the overall vibe I got from all was beyond impressive, I think this outing will be one of his strongest ever outside of the Maiden camp.

To add frosting on the cake, I got to try a prototype for a new Trooper beer, this one is a nice IPA which I’m normally not a fan of, but this was really good, it’s not out yet so I feel pretty lucky to have tried it before the rest of the world haha”
