• Miss May I Premiere “Die On The Vine” Video

Miss May I have premiered a new video for their new song “Die On The Vine.” The band commented:

“‘Die On The Vine’ captures a mid-life reckoning — coming to terms with how deeply childhood experiences and unresolved trauma shape who we become. The song reflects the moment where denial stops working and self-awareness sets in. If those patterns are something you have to live with, the choice becomes whether to decay under their weight or grow stronger through them. ‘Die On The Vine’ leans into that tension, framing survival as adaptation: sharpening your thorns over time instead of letting the damage define you.”

  • Showing Teeth Premiere New Song “Rip”

Showing Teeth have premiered a new song titled “Rip.” The band said the following about that:

“’Rip‘ is a song about proving a point as violently as possible. Raised in a very strict, Christian-conservative environment in Kentucky, I did not take mental health issues very seriously. This is a very angry song that takes them very seriously.”

  • VCTMS Share Video For New Song “devil’s/speak” Featuring Fox Lake’s Nathan Johnson

VCTMS have premiered a new song titled “devil’s/speak.” That track features Fox Lake’s Nathan Johnson and a video for it can be found below. The group commented:

“‘devil’s/speak’ is one of the most energetic songs of the release — blending hip-hop elements, groove metal, and a catchy one liner that is sure to get people moshing. It caters to what fans have always loved about VCTMS: Relatable lyrics, a killer guest feature, and aggressive riffs. Nathan Johnson’s performance on the track gives it that ‘all gas, no breaks’ attitude that really shines from beginning to the end. devil’s/speak is fun and an easily relatable song for those that are going through heartbreak and want to put that anger towards good use.”

  • Tool’s Danny Carey Featured On New Song From “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die”

Tool drummer Danny Carey is featured on a new song from the new movie “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.” The track carries the same name as the film and it also features vocalist Joe Cardamone (ex-The Icarus Line) and composer/actor Shepherd Stevenson. The film will hit theaters on February 13.

  • Don Broco Recruit Nickelback For New Song “Nightmare Tripping”

Don Broco have shared a video for their new single “Nightmare Tripping.” The song, which features members of Nickelback, serves as the title track of the band’s new album, which will be released on March 27. Don Broco said the following:

“Nightmare tripping is the uncertainty between dreams and reality. When the paralysis demon holding you down forces you to confront what you’ve tried to escape by going to sleep, blurring the boundaries of consciousness. In total contrast to that terror, collaborating on the song with Nickelback was a dream come true. Chad and Ryan were incredible to team up with, and shooting the video in a burnt-out L.A haunted house was an experience we’ll never forget.”

  • Obey The Kraken To Release New EP “Apocrypha” In April, Premiere “Betrayer” Video

Obey The Kraken will be releasing a new EP, titled “Apocrypha,” on April 10. A video for the first single, “Betrayer,” can be found below:

    The group commented:

“This new release, Apocrypha, means a lot to us, especially because this second EP wasn’t originally planned. After finishing our first EP (Worship The Sunken God), things developed naturally and we realized we had more to say within this world and sound.

Musically, Apocrypha stays true to what we established before: hard-hitting death-core with breakdowns that are meant to stick with you. We consciously kept the formula of the first EP intact, so anyone who enjoyed EP1 will feel right at home with EP2. Listening back to the final masters, we’re genuinely happy with how consistent and powerful the release feels.

Content-wise, the new single marks the beginning of the biblical story told throughout the EP. The video is fast-paced and matches the song’s dynamic energy. We made a deliberate decision not to visually portray the story itself, as translating it literally would have been difficult and potentially limiting. Instead, we focused on a classic performance-style video that emphasizes the intensity and drive of the track.

Since we produce everything ourselves, the DNA of Apocrypha is the same as on EP1. That consistency was very important to us. Once again, our goal was to tell the story through sound. Everything was designed to feel massive, heavy, and epic, supporting the narrative without overcomplicating the production approach.

Before writing the music, we spent time developing the story and its core themes. Once that foundation was in place, we approached the songwriting in a very straightforward way. The two of us worked closely and extensively on the lyrics, refining them over a long period of time. Sonically, the songs are closely related to EP1, as we wanted to preserve the band’s core identity rather than reinvent it.

Lyrics play a central role for us. Our first EP told the complete story of Cthulhu and his resurrection across four songs, and we wanted to apply that same conceptual approach again. On Apocrypha, the songs tell the story of an angel who is cast out of heaven, forms an alliance with hell, and ultimately seeks to conquer heaven itself. Each track represents a different chapter of that narrative.

If someone hasn’t heard of Obey the Kraken before, they can expect death-core that aims to hit hard both musically and thematically. It’s loud, brutal, fast and driven by breakdowns that are meant to knock you off your feet, while still telling a cohesive and engaging story.”
