Miss May I Premiere New Song “Casualties”, Post Part Four Of “Shadows Inside” Documentary

Miss May I have premiered a new song titled “Casualties,” via Loudwire. This track is from their new album “Shadows Inside,” which will be released on June 2.

Levi Benton commented:

“The track, ‘Casualties,’ came from a place of loss and feeling numb. This song is about how sometimes you loose interest in things you once loved and you start to feel nothing. When this happens both sides are lost and become casualties in the end. This song came from not feeling anything anymore towards everything I was doing.

I felt so burned over the years and was so exhausted that it felt like there was no point to anything. I couldn’t feel happy, I couldn’t feel sad and I simply couldn’t feel anything! I never wanted to really show this side of myself in a song, but I felt it was a the time to and really be honest on this album. It’s great to have songs that are so over the top in honesty and in the music because it gives us a chance to really give our fans a next level experience.”

In other news, the band have also posted the fourth part of their “Shadows Inside” documentary:

Miss May I Premiere “Shadows Inside” Music Video

Miss May I have premiered a new video for the title track of their new album “Shadows Inside.” That effort will be released on June 2.

Levi Benton commented:

“Not only does this song open up our new record, it also sets the tone for the record. This album is all about changes throughout life, good and bad. It’s about the past that lives within everyone; their ‘Shadows Inside‘. The lyrics talk about how great new things can give light to your past and put you in a better place.”

“We have quite a few videos and we’re always trying to change things up. With this video for ‘Shadows Inside‘ we not only wanted to recreate the cover of the record in real life, but we also wanted the performance to be abstract. We had black lights and used old lens effects from the 90’s to achieve a very classic look and something totally different for us.”

Miss May I Premiere “Lost In The Grey” Music Video

Miss May I have premiered a new video for their new song “Lost In The Grey,” via Loudwire. This song is from the band’s new album “Shadows Inside,” which will be released on June 2.

Levi Benton commented:

“Our new video for ‘Lost In The Grey‘ was by far the most extreme video we have ever done! The shoot involved an entire forest landscape set, live action volatile weather elements and rodents in mouths. We have never had a video like this before. The vibe for the song is really captured well and sets a great image not only for the song, but the record as a whole. Shadows Inside is the most honest record we have ever created and a big part of that was just having the freedom and time to put everything we had into it.

This is a great first track to release to the mass as it represents the effort it takes to get out of the complacent and stale life people live. The song is about finding that hope and drive to push you to a new and better life. The lion has always represented hope and ambition and now with this video it’s physical and represented as a mask that one needs to show them there is a better life for everyone, if you push for it.”
