Breaking In A Sequence Premiere New Song “Don’t Run”
Breaking In A Sequence (ex-Core 10, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “Don’t Run.” That track will appear on their upcoming album “Inanimate.” The group said the following about the single:
“‘Don’t Run’ was the first song written with new drummer BC Vaught. We didn’t write anything for the first year and a half after to give us time to meld together. The song carries the nu metal torch from the early 2000’s with a perfect blend of melody, groove and aggression. It has a rawness that is absent in today’s music.”

American Head Charge Singer Cameron Heacock Is Not Homeless Anymore
As previously reported, Holiday Kirk of The Nu Metal Agenda recently launched “The Something Beautiful Project” in an effort to assist American Head Charge’s Cameron Heacock amid his battle with drug addiction and homelessness. Now, it has been revealed that the singer is no longer unhoused.
Kirk commented:
“Cameron Heacock is no longer homeless. His application for city housing was approved and he moved into a unit yesterday.
I cannot possibly explain to you all how proud I am of my best friend, Cam. There were so many moments during these last eight months when thinks looked impossible, tougher than you could imagine, but he never gave up. And now I get to say it, in fact I’ll say it again, Cameron Heacock of American Head Charge is no longer homeless.
This would not have been possible without the support of everyone who has contributed to The Something Beautiful Project, thank you to everyone who took the time to be apart of this. We’re not done, not even close. But everything just got a lot easier to do.
Let’s keep on pushing the envelope.”

Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee On Legal Dispute With Mick Mars: “That Whole Thing Was Awkward And Really Hurtful”
While chatting with Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins) on “The Magnificent Others” podcast, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee opened up about the band’s dispute with ex-guitarist Mick Mars. The group won that legal battle after an independent arbitrator ruled that Mars gave up his right to touring revenue upon his departure. According to Lee, the “whole thing was awkward and really hurtful.”
Lee said the following:
“For me, that whole thing was awkward and really hurtful, to the point where people were saying untrue things and kind of doing that, and I was, like, ‘God, this sucks.’ I’m not into that kind of stuff. It’s, like, why can’t we just all… You go do your thing, we’ll go do ours. It’s all cool. That part of it sucked. I guess that’s like a divorce or whatever. It sucks in any format. But there is only one Mick, and he’s an insane player, and it saddens me just on a personal level for him that this insane bone disease or spine disease slowly started dementing his shape. He started to get locked into being hunched over. Good thing it was forward instead of backwards. At least you’re looking at the guitar neck. [He went through] a lot of pain, and watching him struggle, and then all of a sudden, I think it takes a toll on… And maybe his age, too, you kind of mix all that in, he started to… He came to us saying, like, ‘I don’t wanna do this anymore. I can’t.’
I always try to put myself in Mick’s shoes, and I got nothing but love for that guy — nothing but love. I just wish it didn’t get so… and unfortunately, that’s just the way things go. When people are threatened or hurt, they fight back. But it’s all good.”
He also discussed recruiting John 5:
“I have to give props to John 5, because him coming in was the exact shot of adrenaline and life and energy and fire that we were missing, because it was really becoming a struggle. [On the 2022 ‘The Stadium Tour’] I’d be counting off ‘Live Wire’ and Mick would start ‘Wild Side’. He started to not know where he was [in the song]. [It was a] trainwreck. And I’ve had to stop songs — just stop songs. I’m, like, ‘Dude, we gotta restart this because he’s playing the wrong song, and he doesn’t know it.’ It’s, like, oh my God.
John has been a [Mötley Crüe] fan for a long time. He knows all the music inside and out, [and he] loves Mick… To me, dude, I don’t give a shit how talented you are, if you’re an [asshole], I don’t have much respect for that. If you’re talented and you’re a sweetheart [like John 5 is], you’re my favorite person.”

Elysia Guitarist Danny Lomeli Passes Away
Elysia guitarist Danny Lomeli has sadly passed away. You can assist his family with end of life costs HERE.
The band commented:
“We are so sorry to announce the sudden passing of Elysia guitarist, Danny Lomeli. It can’t be put into words how much this hurts and how much we will miss him. Danny first joined the band in 2007 and we’ve all been inseparable friends with him ever since. He was an integral part in the reformation and reunion of the band. He put so much work into making it come to fruition and he loved each moment with every fiber of his being.
Danny, this new reality of life without you is terrifying and heartbreaking. We are so grateful for the incredible new memories that the elysia reunion allowed us to make with you. The past year+ of relentless practicing, shows, and hanging out has been an unforgettable blessing. We’ve all wondered what the big meaning was to our reunion, what it represented, and what impact it would have on the band’s legacy. It turns out, none of that really matters. It was all just so we could spend more time together and feel so much more closer to you. That’s enough reason to do anything. We love you, Danny.

Candlemass Working On New Album
Candlemass are currently working on a new album. Vocalist Johan Längqvist confirmed the news during an interview with Rock Daydream Nation.
Längqvist said the following:
“I’ve done a couple of demos for the moment. [Bassist and main songwriter] Leif [Edling] is writing on a new album for the moment, so there will be a new album. I haven’t got [a possible release date for the LP], but we’re working on it for the moment, and I’ve been singing demos with — I don’t know, maybe half of an album so far.”
He continued when asked about release plans:
“Maybe next year. Yeah. But I’m not the boss of all the things with the studios and things like that, so I can’t give you [and exact date]. But maybe next year. Something is coming out next year.”
He also discussed the writing process:
“Leif is the main writer of both the music and the lyrics. And if I’ve been doing a demo with Leif, then I’m back the very next day to finish it all, [and] then sometimes he has changed the lyrics… He’s the main man behind the lyrics as well, so that’s the way it is. And he’s working a lot with the lyrics, I can tell… And he always has got an idea of how it should sound… When we’re working right now, we’re trying out maybe six melodies in a chorus or something. And I’m very open-minded to try a lot of things. And sometimes he said, ‘Oh, Johan, we save this one. I liked what you did there.’ So, we have a good connection when it comes to the recording, so I can sing out, and sometimes he said, ‘Oh, we can’t keep this, Johan. It’s too wild,’ or, ‘I don’t like it.’ But we have a good time.
I’ve been into music all my life, and I’ve been writing songs all my life, so I’ve got a kind of library of melodies in my head because of that, all the experience that I have because of all the songwriting. It’s because of that, I think, I would try out a lot of melodies on one chord. It’s hard to explain, but when you’ve done… I don’t know how many songs that I’ve written, but at least hundreds, so you get some experience when it comes to improvising and finding the coolest stuff. But the main thing in the very beginning is to get into the music. To me, the songs [are] not only about the vocals when it comes to heavy metal. It’s a band. The whole thing, the whole sound wall should be one. And to find your way in with the vocals is very important. And when you try out different things, all of a sudden you feel that, I’m in the song. I’m in there right now.”

Megadeth Reportedly Set To Release “Fast Hits” In August
It looks like Megadeth are planning to release a new compilation, titled “Fast Hits,” on August 21. The band have yet to announce the effort, but a Walmart exclusive vinyl is already up for pre-order.
