• Chamber Premiere New Song “without a trace”

Chamber have premiered a new song titled “without a trace.” This track is from the band’s new album, “this is goodbye…,” which will be released on March 27. Guitarist/vocalist Gabe Manuel commented:

“‘without a trace’ came together really early on in the writing process, and was initially supposed to be the first song on the record. We realized during tracking that it belonged on the latter half of the record for pacing reasons, but it was hard to give up on the idea of raking that fucked up chord being the first thing that listeners would hear. That moment is still one of my favorites on the record. The end of this song has a breakdown buildup that could have fit on our first EP, so it’s nice to nod back to that incarnation of the band. Lyrically, this song is about broken people who grift their way to positions of power or success with no regard for the people they hurt along the way. Even if they never truly get what they deserve, when the lights go out at night they still have to reckon with who they really are.”

  • Hellripper Premiere “Mortercheyn” Video

Hellripper have premiered a new video for their new song “Mortercheyn.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s new album, “Coronach,” which will be released on March 27.

    James McBain commented:

“Much like the previously released ‘Kinchyle (Goatkraft and Granite),’ the lyrics on this track come from a more personal place. The title itself is a little nod to a track on the previous album, ‘The Nuckelavee,’ and mortercheyn is said to be the disease spread by the creature in its wake. It is a contagious and lethal sickness that primarily affects horses, and is used in the song to represent the decay and downfall of the world.

Musically, ‘Mortercheyn‘ is a crust track at its core, drenched in a sinister atmosphere that lies between the black metal vibe of Watain and the raw aggression of bands like Martyrdöd and Skitsystem.

Hints of Whiplash and Agent Steel are clearly evident in the guitar work and are paired with some uncomfortable ambience inspired by the likes of Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares. On the surface, it may feel like one of the less ‘complex’ songs on the album, but I think there’s quite a lot going on throughout.”

  • Draconian Premiere “Cold Heavens” Video

Draconian have premiered a new video for their new song “Cold Heavens.” This track is from their new album, “In Somnolent Ruin,” which will be released on May 8. Guitarist Johan Ericson commented:

“In need of a more up-tempo song, ‘Cold Heavens’ was the final piece written for ‘In Somnolent Ruin.’ The intention was to create a simple, straightforward track to balance the album’s longer compositions and add versatility. Lisa’s laid-back vocals take center stage, guiding us through a bleak, cold landscape before giving way to Anders’ more spiteful and desperate delivery. The song ends with a sense of resignation, leading into the album’s next track.”

  • Corrosion Of Conformity Premiere “You Or Me” Video

Corrosion Of Conformity have premiered a new video for their new song “You Or Me.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Good God / Baad Man,” which will be released on April 3. The group commented:

“Deep from within the forests of Romania and the twisted mind of our dear friend Costin Chioreanu comes his twisted visions put to Corrosion’s music. It’s a match made in purgatory. There’s some special additions from [director] Mike Holderbeast’s crew as well.”

  • Magnolia Park Premiere New Song “DANGEROUS”

Magnolia Park have premiered a new song titled “DANGEROUS.” The track is taken from the upcoming deluxe edition of “VAMP.” That expanded album is titled “NIGHTS AFTER VAMP” and it will be released on March 13. The group commented:

“‘DANGEROUS’ sits as the centerpiece for the deluxe and foreshadows a more sensual side we’re exploring that will make its way into the Vampire’s lore. With its sexy lyrics, heavy groovy riffs, forward-thinking production and RnB vocals, it really acts as a sneak peek into the new sound for what’s to come after ‘NIGHTS AFTER VAMP.’”

  • Boston Singer Tommy DeCarlo Passes Away

Boston singer Tommy DeCarlo has sadly passed away at the age of 60. According to his family, his death was related to brain cancer.

    DeCarlo’s children said the following:

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Dad, Tommy DeCarlo, on Monday, March 9th, 2026. After being diagnosed with brain cancer last September, he fought with incredible strength and courage right up until the very end.

During this difficult time, we kindly ask that friends and fans respect our family’s privacy as we grieve and support one another.

    Rest in peace, Dad.

    With love,
    Annie, Talia & Tommy Jr.”

His bandmate Tom Scholz also commented:

“To All Tommy Decarlo and BOSTON fans and friends:

This morning Tommy lost his fight with cancer. Everyone who has heard Tommy sing on stage, or on BOSTON albums, knows what a gifted artist he was, but few know how hard he worked to fill that role of BOSTON’s lead vocalist, and to turn himself into a top tier live performer – or more important, what a dedicated father he was to his children. Tommy was a competitive athlete, and yet a gentle soul who is remembered by by his son and many others as a sweet man who did not deserve to be cut down at such a young age. It’s not surprising that one of his favorite BOSTON songs to sing was “To Be a Man.”

While many people will remember Tommy giving his audience amazing live performances, I will remember him as the incredible singer who appeared out of nowhere to rescue BOSTON in 2007, and gave all of us with the band 10 additional years of performing our most memorable live shows. Rest in peace Tommy, you did know what it took to be a man.

    Tom Scholz, for BOSTON”

  • Heidi Shepherd: “This Year There Will Be A Brand New Butcher Babies Album”

During a recent interview with 96.7 KCAL-FM’s Radioactive MikeZ, Butcher Babies singer Heidi Shepherd offered an update on the band’s new album. She says the effort will be released this year.

    Shepherd said the following:

“There’s a whole album behind [‘Lost In Your Touch‘]. So, yeah, this year there will be a brand new BUTCHER BABIES album. It is dunzo, it is finished. And we’ve been working on it for a while.

When we released a song called ‘Sincerity‘ a little bit back, the idea was just an EP with Judge & Jury. And we were having so much fun working with them, and we had so much to say, and I was just basically purging all my emotions on to paper and putting it into these songs. And Henry’s [Flury, BUTCHER BABIES guitarist] in the studio writing super fast to keep up. We were off tour finally. It’s been on tour, off tour, on tour, off tour, in the studio, out of the studio. So we had a little bit of time at home and we just started just writing like crazy. And we talked to our homies at Judge & Jury and said, ‘Hey, do you guys wanna maybe turn this into an entire album?’ And they said, ‘Yes.’ So we held off on all the other releases and decided to just create a whole album.”

She went on to discuss the record’s lyrics:

“There’s 12 songs on this album. And we’re so excited for people to hear it. A lot of it is in the vein of things that happened in my life from 25 years ago till now.

I was married when I was really young. And I’ve never really talked about it. I’ve been married and divorced. I don’t talk about it. I never really have, but I think now I can talk about it. There’s a song on there about the exact moment that [my then-husband and I] both decided this was over, and the exact moment driving in his truck through the mountains of Utah and decided that this is done. And so that exact moment is on there. And that was 20-something years ago. And then there’s a song on there about a really special person in my past life who has since passed away. There’s a lot of really special things on this album, so I’m very excited to unleash it to everybody and let everyone hear these stories.”

She continued when asked if it will have a mixture of “melodic songs and brutally heavy songs”:

“Yeah, we still got the mix for you. There’s gonna be a song coming out. We have the single after ‘Lost In Your Touch’ lined up already, and that one will be a neck breaker for you. [Laughs]”

    She also added:

“These songs — even ‘Sincerity’ and ‘Lost In Your Touch’, they still hit so heavy live too. And there’s really heavy parts to, I think, every song on the album.”
