The lineup has been revealed for the 2020 UNIFY Gathering festival. The event will take place at Tarwin Meadows in Gippsland, Australia on January 9-12 and it will feature the following:

January 10: Architects, Northlane, Silverstein (20th anniversary set), Make Them Suffer, Dear Seattle, Antagonist AD, Tired Lion, The Beautiful Monument, Between You And Me, Diamond Construct, and Tapestry.

January 11: The Ghost Inside, Polaris, Tonight Alive (with friends), Stray From The Path, Void Of Vision, Knocked Loose, Kublai Khan, Eat Your Heart Out, The Brave, Columbus, Sleep Talk, Caged Existence, and Something Something Explosion.

Every Time I Die, Hellions, Etc. Added To 2019 UNIFY Gathering

Every Time I Die, Hellions, Saviour, and Falcifer have been added to the 2019 UNIFY Gathering, which is set to take place on January 11-13 in South Gippsland, Australia. You can see the updated daily lineups below. As previously reported, I Killed The Prom Queen’s “classic lineup” were supposed to reunite to celebrate the 15th anniversary of “When Goodbye Means Forever“ at the event, but their performance was cancelled following some controversy.

January 11: Underoath, Karnivool, In Hearts Wake, Hellions, Ocean Grove, While She Sleeps, Crossfaith, Dream On Dreamer, The Plot In You, Hand Of Mercy, Dream State, Drown This City, Ocean Sleeper, and Better Half.

January 12: Taking Back Sunday (playing “Tell All Your Friends” in full), Every Time I Die, Trophy Eyes, State Champs, Turnstile, Citizen, Waax, Clowns, Endless Heights, Harm’s Way, Saviour, Stand Atlantic, Thornhill, Pagan, Gravemind, After Touch, Falcifer, and Yours Truly.

UNIFY Gathering Organizers Cancel I Killed The Prom Queen’s “Classic Lineup” Performance

I Killed The Prom Queen’s “classic lineup”, featuring Jona Weinhofen, Kevin Cameron, Michael Crafter, JJ Peters, and Sean Kennedy, were supposed to play a one-off show at next year’s UNIFY Gathering, but the band have since been dropped from the festival. Organizers decided to cancel the performance after receiving backlash due to past sexist comments made by Crafter.

The following statement was issued:

“Today UNIFY Gathering has made the decision, with the backing of band members, to remove I Killed The Prom Queen from the lineup for Unify Gathering 2019.

We made this decision because historical comments made on social media by former member Michael Crafter, who was to re-appear as guest singer of I Killed the Prom Queen for their one- off 2004 nostalgia set. These comments fall well short of today’s community standards and were considered deeply offensive to many people within our music community.

These comments are completely unacceptable and contrary to our deeply held values and beliefs that music is for everyone and to be enjoyed by all.

We want to create a culture of positive change within the music industry and it’s our responsibility to call out unacceptable behaviour wherever we see it.

UNIFY is committed to ensuring a safe place for anyone and everyone who wants to enjoy music. This is why we jointly launched the ‘Your Choice’ initiative, aimed at addressing cultural issues and harmful behaviour within the music festival landscape.

On reflection, we acknowledge that Michael Crafter shouldn’t have been chosen to appear at Unify Gathering 2019. We’d like to acknowledge that the members of the band have been really open and helpful in this conversation, and we wish them the best moving forward.”

Crafter has since apologized:

“Two years ago and plenty of time years previously, I said a lot of dumb stuff online to troll, cause drama and bait people to piss them off. Things I said then are not a reflection of who I am today, as two years is a long time. I completely understand why people are pissed off, and I am sorry and I really regret it. I want women to succeed in music, my daughter included if that’s the path she chooses. I’m massive on being positive and pushing yourself and think my life nowadays is a reflection on that…”

The lineup has been revealed for the 2018 Unify Festival. The event will take place in Tarwin Lower, Australia on January 12-14, and the daily lineups for Fiday and Saturday include:

January 12: Parkway Drive (‘A decade of Horizons’ set), Architects, Tonight Alive, Four Year Strong (performing “Rise Or Die Trying“), Behind Crimson Eyes, 50 Lions, With Confidence, Polaris, Knocked Loose, Belle Haven, Sienna Skies, and Mirrors.

January 13: The Amity Affliction (15 year anniversary set), Hands Like Houses, Hellions, Stick To Your Guns, Knuckle Puck, Make Them Suffer, Being As An Ocean, Roam, Void Of Vision, Cursed Earth, Young Lions, Outright, Introvert, Dear Seattle, The Beautiful Monument, Save The Clocktower, and Arteries.
