Misery Index Premiere “Naysayer” Music Video

Misery Index have premiered a new video for their song “Naysayer.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Rituals Of Power.” The group commented:

“In order to celebrate the launch of our first tour for the new album, we offer a video for the track ‘Naysayer’. The video was filmed several weeks ago at our rehearsal space in Baltimore and is intended to capture the band/us in our most primal creative setting. The idea was to bring to life and visually animate what is perhaps the most ferocious, unrelenting song on the album. ‘Naysayer’ is to the point; it pulls the hoods off those who seek to hide behind walls (either material or digital) and calls them out for their inveracity and inhumanity. I am sure we all know a few ‘naysayers.’ Turn it up, let it rip and sing along.”

Misery Index Stream New Album “Rituals Of Power”

Misery Index are streaming their new album “Rituals Of Power” in full via Kerrang!. That effort will officially be released tomorrow (March 8). The band commented:

“‘Rituals Of Power‘ is a disavowal and warning against the consequences of our so-called ‘post-truth’ age. Each of the 9 songs revolves loosely around this theme, yet each track also stands very much on its own. As an album however, they are all brought to life as one ‘reanimated’ monster; it’s roughly 35 minutes of unhinged, yet cohesive, riff-driven aural ballistics. We were pissed off and on fire during both the writing and recording, and we think it shows in spades. We set out to write the best album we could, based on what we would want to hear first as fans of this music, and we could not be happier.”

Misery Index Premiere “The Choir Invisible” Lyric Video

Misery Index have premiered a lyric video for their new song “The Choir Invisible.” This track is from the band’s new album “Rituals Of Power,” which will be released on March 8. The band commented:

“‘The ‘Choir Invisible’ is a euphemism for the dead, or those who have passed on. In the context of this song, it is an anthem of the dispossessed and the hopeless. Many across the world exist in an ‘in-between’ state that is often ignored and/or washed over because they lack the power and voice to plead their case as human beings. The song takes up this theme and tells it from the somber view of those who risk their lives, board ships and cross oceans in order to find a better life.”

Misery Index Premiere “Rituals Of Power” Lyric Video

Misery Index have premiered a lyric video for the title track of their new album “Rituals Of Power.” That effort will be released on March 8. The band commented:

“‘Rituals Of Power‘ represents the album’s title track and most musically dynamic offering. We wanted to create something that captured the tension of this modern era; something that conjures visions of civilizational collapse and lost ideals gone astray and embeds them in riffs as monolithic as they are haunting. It is an anthem of hope as much as it is a cautionary tale; an end times farewell letter from the front lines of history. Turn it up and enjoy the ride…”
