Year Of The Knife Premiere New Song “Manipulation Artist”

Year Of The Knife have premiered a new song titled “Manipulation Artist” via Revolver. This track is from the band’s new album “Internal Incarceration,” which will be released on August 7. Tyler Mullen commented:

“This song is about questioning your own sanity while you are trapped in a cycle of abuse from a manipulative, toxic partner. One day of happiness overshadows the pain until it starts all over again.”

Madison Watkins said the following about the group’s motivation for the record:

“Almost every straight edge person I know has been touched by loss. Those experiences can make you feel alone, but they’re something a lot of people within hardcore have gone through and can relate to. People that gravitate towards this music often have this darkness in their lives, but hardcore can be a beacon where they can find community and relief. It can be a really incredible outlet for getting that negativity out and finding people who understand you.”

Year Of The Knife Premiere New Song “Sick Statistic”

Year Of The Knife have premiered a new song titled “Sick Statistic.” This track was recorded for a new split 12″ that was put together for the Pure Noise Tour. In addition to Year Of The Knife, that trek will feature Stick To Your Guns, Counterparts, Terror, and Sanction. Year Of The Knife’s Madi Watkins had the following to say about the new song:

“‘Sick Statistic‘ is one of our most personal songs to date. The weight of the lyrics are matched only by the intensity of it’s instrumentation. Lyrically, it represents true hopelessness and the seemingly unbreakable patterns of self-destruction that accompany it.”
